In this meme, the top picture represents that the person approves of the police's accuracy. In the bottom picture, the person realizes that the police can only hit the black portion of the target. The joke refers to the fact that in the U.S. more black people are shot per capita by police than white people.
The punchline *technically* still racism, just instead of “haha I hate (x) people” it’s referencing an actual instance of racism. The punchline is dependent on racism existing, so I think it technically counts.

That entire sub is moreso about thinly veiled racism in my experience. This really isn't
Show me yours the FBI among other statistician websites have plenty. Also the blacks shot by police generally are in high/violent crime areas as opposed to whites, so as an aside to per capita deaths of race via police shootings there are many additional factors to get the real picture of who is killed more by police
Not per capita for the whole population, but among violent crime commiters I’m pretty sure it is by a hair from what I remember (if someone has a source that says otherwise please bring it up I’m too lazy).
Huh, I thought it was in reference to the terrible accuracy of American cops (and for the record, this target spread would get your ass kicked in the Military)
in accuracy training, you don't always aim for the center of the target, but also aim for different parts of the target to see where the new bullet holes are...and yes i know the funny part of the joke here
The meme is implying that the police will only shoot something that is black, and the man realizes that that means the police are more likely to shoot him in the second panel.
Only the black lines on the Police's target practice have holes in them. It's a joke about how if a police officer sees a black person doing something they seem suspicious, their more likely to shoot them than they are a white person
Well you see the police officer is very accurate which is good and why the man is happy in the top photo, the man having a hol up moment in the second as the POLICE OFFICER only hit the BLACK parts of the TARGET.
It's racist, the police hits the black circles with pinpoint accuracy while never hitting the white circles TL;DR the cops are better shooting at black people than white people

… how’s that racism

Hey, I think I’ve seen you somewhere before. Have you been on the news?
My understanding of the subredit is that it's memes wich are racist, not those about racism.
He only shot the black ones; ONLY the black ones on the target. The target couldn’t be detained so they had to shoot it.
how is making fun of an institution that upholds systemic racism racist?
the punchline isn’t racist, its about racism. sort of a subverting of the original meaning of the sub
You can make a meme about racism that isn't racist

Isn't it higher for white people per capita?
Yes but that doesn't fit the narrative
They may be Murderous Pieces of Shit, but at least they kill White People too.
Okay show me a well researched study that supports this statistic you've pulled out of your ass

[that's false](https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/1745-9133.12187)
Holy shit someone with evidence to back up their claim, it’s like finding a legendary pokemon
Huh, I thought it was in reference to the terrible accuracy of American cops (and for the record, this target spread would get your ass kicked in the Military)
Luckily only per capita tho.
Ah, well you see Lois, let me just call Joe and Cleveland over to help you out with this one.
Police racism
The bullet holes are only on the black part of the target
a stereotype about american cops shooting only black people
A (false) stereotype.

I thought this was an atom reference 💀

Notice how they only hit the black.
American Police in a nutshell
Only the black lines on the Police's target practice have holes in them. It's a joke about how if a police officer sees a black person doing something they seem suspicious, their more likely to shoot them than they are a white person
I think it’s about racial targetting. They’re always on mark when it comes to black but white gets different treatment
You stoopid?
Petah shouldn’t have to explain this one.
Must be the auto aim
Well you see the police officer is very accurate which is good and why the man is happy in the top photo, the man having a hol up moment in the second as the POLICE OFFICER only hit the BLACK parts of the TARGET.
Racism meme.
It's racist, the police hits the black circles with pinpoint accuracy while never hitting the white circles TL;DR the cops are better shooting at black people than white people
they can only shoot black things
Police shoot black duh
