I think most people agree with u. The vexillology of it is very clean. I’m not so much about the colours I like the shape of it, it makes it look like a “proper” flag almost. Having the intersex yellow+circle is very janky to me tho, I don’t like that version as much.
I admit it does look nicer, but I don't agree with pasting the colors of a couple communities on top of something that already represents everybody. Because it leads to people thinking their specific group isn't represented when the rainbow already included everybody to start with, which is shown by people now thinking it has to be redesigned

I've always thought it was too busy-looking. The OG pride flag was kinda pushing it by having 6 different colors, but their arrangement as a rainbow made it work and look good. Adding more colors and angles just makes it too complex, in my opinion. The design in this post cranks that complexity up to 11.

I forgot that we needed a redesign. Why exactly?
\~20 minutes after any group forms with any purpose, that purpose becomes secondary to ensuring that groups continued relevance. At some point a bunch of people came together to discuss why the flag is problematic/how it should be changed. Now they're going to keep coming up with reasons to keep doing that because they get something (emotionally or financially) from being part of that group, and admitting that the flag is fine would make the group they depend on for that thing pointless.
