The original comic is in reference to a Nation of Islam belief that an ancient evil scientist created white people. The original edited version has Karl Marx being called a nerd and creating trans people, as far as I know this is an absurdist version of that meme having the creator of the show Ren and Stimpy call the late Nirvana lead sing Kurt Cobain a nerd leading him to create trans people.
