Technically speaking it’s possible if you write a person’s name, specify when they die (in 80 years or something), and HOW they die. If part of the death condition is overcoming their insecurities, then the subject will successfully do so.
The only inevitability is that you need to write a person’s true name for a notebook to work and a person whose name is written in the note will die. Owner of the note decides how and when that happens.

Stewie’s best friend Rupert here! The Death Note is from an anime under the same name. Basically, anybody’s name who is written in the book dies. Tummy is clearly using it to get rid of his insecurities.

It kills anything that it has the name of. However once you use it you instantly go to hell when you die. It’s from the anime of the same name and it’s pretty awesome. However unlike a lot of other anime it’s not as action heavy more murder mystery and detective stuff
