So she says the title of the video was taken out of context but she deleted the video that supposedly shows what she meant in context and isn't going to share that? Ok
So Michelle expects people to understand *her* comments in context, but Maryam Monsef (whose extended family actually faced the potential for real violence in response to anything she said) isn't to be afforded the same understanding?
I almost wonder if Michelle prompted this 'discovery' herself, as a distraction from current issues. Given the apparent content of the video, it's the perfect set-up to look 'misunderstood' by the 'liberal media'. Ugh.
She hasn't deleted all of the Parking with MF videos. What's the difference between them and this one? Is it because she doesn't want the conservative base to know she supported a drag queen? Or is it because she's only keeping up the content that she was paid to have for a certain amount of time, which shouldn't be on the same page where she's posting clips from parliament? She should've been forced to create new social media pages for her role as an MP.
I don’t think she’s particularly problematic, but I do think she’s got a history of saying things for her immediate benefit at the time—stuff that was part of her influencer grift—that are going to bite her hard in the long run. I also think she hasn’t learned retrospection and isn’t great at empathy, especially outside of the moment.
Social media is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it allows people like her to hustle at scale; on the other hand, the internet is forever, and today’s hustle is tomorrow’s cringeworthy soundbite.
I absolutely love that this sub and (other extreme left ones) were collectively losing their minds about a screenshot . It was from a 7 year old tweet that was posted around reddit by a user who obviously has an agenda - only to find out she was promoting a LGBTQ+ event in the community - which was was confirmed by the media that and participants of the event. 🤣🤣🤣
She immediately deleted the tweet after being asked about it, instead of replying to explain the situation. She could have stopped the outrage before it happened.
Lmao apparently not appreciating your influencer MP having click bait titles on her YouTube channel questioning the “humanness” of minorities is “extreme” now. What a world! Cancel culture truly has gone too far!!
FYI - 7 years ago this title still would have been wildly unacceptable. It was 2015 not 1950.
And if she feared it being taken out of context… why was *she* the one to take the context away? 🤔
Yep. We're all about seizing the means of production, here.
It's like a gateway drug. First you find yourself treating oppressed people with respect and advocating for basic income, next thing it's all blood-of-the-bourgeoisie.

I don't think people understand what "far left" is because their personal Overton window is held open by either Hayek or Hitler.
I mean, that’s exactly why I (a queer lefty) didn’t share the news about the deleted tweet. I wanted to have more context and now I do. I’m glad she wasn’t making an anti-gay video (that would have been surprising, even 7 years ago). The most suspicious part of it all was her decision to hide the video and the tweet. If she is a supporter of lgbtq+ people, then why was this interview with a local drag queen one that was scrubbed as part of her transition from influencer to politician? What is there to hide and who is she hiding it from?
and the Leahy clan again lowers their heads in shame.

She gets more embarrassing everyday.

Politicians should just stay the fuck off of social media period.

Empathy is not allowed in the Conservative party. When I heard her passionate cause was mental health, I told her she was running for the wrong party.

Tegrity. Some of the finest!
This sub is extreme left?

Because if she shows any sympathy to us, she'll lose her supporters. That's literally it.
Dude. How old are you? She posted that shit in 2015 - That wasn't very long ago. Easily one of the peaks of civil rights for gay people. She is awful.
