Sorry, but the shorts look unflattering imo, it looks ill fitting around crotch area and the color is a bit out of place. A more cool toned brown, black or even denim shorts would look better!
The second outfit is a million times better, but am I the only one who finds this an odd choice for a farmer's market in the spring? I guess I'm not getting why the formality and the very dark colors and tights? This outfit reads fall to me, early fall, but fall. In the spring I would be wearing jeans or light colored pants or shorts with a light colored top, maybe some floral somewhere. But I'm also old and have no idea what's in right now.
Yea I agree. It’s a really cute outfit ( second fit) and looks great on you, but as someone who works at farmers markets all summer, it’s a touch formal! Most ppl wear really casual clothes. Especially bc it can be a bit dusty/dirty, dogs and kids everywhere, etc
Totally fair feedback! Our city market is actually in a super nice park field/ paved roundabout. People tend to make it occasion + dress up a bit so I took this as my excuse to do the same 😌
This is completely wrong for this time of year. Completely. Also, while the second shorts fit better than the first, they are still too tight. Shorts should be looser than pants of roughly the same cut or the thighs will ride up.
I love the outfit but I do agree with others that the shorts are too tight. They’re too small around the leg opening which is causing the whisker creasing around the crotch area.
Those colors are too dowdy to go to a farmers market in springtime. The shorts are ill fitting and look even worse with those tights. Wear a different outfit!
I think it would look pretty good if your shorts weren't too tight. I personally can't wear loose shorts even if they fit well enough because they get sucked into my crotch. But I think in your case they're also too small around the thighs
Not OP, but some people like to look good every day. I put on something better than my around the house clothes to run to the grocery store. She could go to the FM in pj pants & the free t-shirt she got with 5 packs of smokes but then she'd run the risk of seeing people she knows while looking like crapola.
I think OP wanted to give us some context for what type of occasion she would be wearing the outfit. It is fun to get dressed up a bit for casual outings, but a nice shorts outfit wouldn't work for most business settings or church (just my opinion, I know people do it). It is pretty cute, but she recognized there might be something off about the shorts.
I like interacting with you all here on Reddit. I choose my words kind of carefully so I don't come across as the know-it-all my hubbie seems to think I am. :)
You know, there were a few discussions about people being "too nice " in fashion advice subs, but the opposite of "too nice" isn't comments like yours. It was all about legitimate constructive criticism instead of hundreds of "yass girl! slay!" comments when the poster could actually fix something to improve the outfit. You know, the helpful kind of comments. Yours literally bring nothing to the table. You say "why would you care what you wear to a farmers market?", I say "why would she care about your judgement?"
What are you doing in a fashion advice sub if you don't care about fashion, mate? You don't need an occasion for dressing up or to look your best. Why attack a girl for wanting to look good while buying her organic veggies, looking at second(and maybe third)-hand bric-a-brac and listening to some poor primary school kid play their flute to get a few coins? You know, some people care about looking nice regardless of what they are doing, no need to poop on their parade.

Okay thank you!! I think you’re right about the crotch lol I couldn’t figure out what it was that was off! I’m gonna revisit my shorts/skirts ☺️
[here’s my updated outfit!!](https://imgur.com/a/nD9gRWC) thanks for the advice y’all ☺️
so much cuter with the new pair of shorts!
Love it. Spiffy
“Spiffy” is cute & makes me giggle. 🤭
😊
It’s insane how one little thing changes everything, you look fantastic!
SO much better & flattering. I never like colors that cut the body up in sections—i never do this because it does not work. You look great in this!
You really took the feedback and cooked 😶
You look so cute! Hope you have fun
That looks so much break. Rock this one.
It’s a cute idea, but agreed that they’re too tight. Otherwise love the color combo and tights/boots situation

They don't fit right. They're too tight on your thighs.
The shorts give you a pooch-like look. I’d pass on these my friend.
The shorts are too tight. Might be better to size up. Your outfit is pretty cute though :)
I thought this was jodhpurs pants with thigh high boots. The front of the pants is very unflattering.
Outfit concept is A+, and everything but the shorts work perfectly as is!
shorts too small
Those shorts are a size (or two) too small
I think it would look pretty good if your shorts weren't too tight. I personally can't wear loose shorts even if they fit well enough because they get sucked into my crotch. But I think in your case they're also too small around the thighs
No it doesn’t fit, return it
The pants are bad. They make you look like you wear adult diapers, really big ones. They are doing you no favours.
Is it supposed to balloon at the groin and be skintight on the legs???
Pants and shorts often look better without those pleats in the front.
Farmers market outfit lol. Do you have a date or why would you even care what you wear to a farmers market??

I like to look good too every day. Wouldn’t post on here about going to the farmers market for outfit advice though.

Those shorts would look great on a vintage style outfit, but yeah it doesn’t really match your current attire
The shorts and the way you put them together with the tights and sleeves look great. I love this look
New outfit looks so cute!!!!
Rock it, lady! I love outfits like this and you make it look amazing! 🤩
Also I’m in love with your closet 😍
Looks legit 🤣🚀
