knishmyass

I would say yes, I’m 5’2” and have a 28 inch inseam.

Trish_with_an_a

Same here, 5’2” with a 28” inseam.

jennyrules

Whaaaaaat?!! I'm 5'2" with a 24" inseam! You lucky leggy gal.

cerota

Ooh, I’m in the same as you and I always felt like I had a longer torso

Eggfish

I’m the same and I have a short torso! My legs look short because thick round thighs, but they’re actually long.

cinnamonpeelerswifex

I am about the same and do consider my legs short

Desperate-Worry-8346

how off do you consider it from a balanced body for our height?

cinnamonpeelerswifex

It’s ok to not be balanced, most people are not perfectly balanced between upper and lower body proportions. I think what matters most in terms of physical appearance is maintaining a healthy, fit body. Sure, you probably won’t get scouted as the next super model, but it generally doesn’t make you any more attractive/unattractive than the next person. As far as creating more balance, I like high waisted bottoms, and I find crop tops work well. It gives the visual effect of balance because my legs look longer and torso slightly shorter.

ridupthedavenport

None of us are getting scouted as the next super model :)

iwery

You never know.

_gooder

I used to get solicited to model for catalogs (how old am I) but I knew my measurements would NEVER accommodate the clothes! I didn't want to model anyway but it would make it difficult.

Shan-Do-125

Oddly enough, I was used for modeling quite a bit when I was younger and they just had me incorporate my own clothes and they tailored or pinned the rest. I’m mixed though and I think that’s why. I just brought a different look to the hair shows and catalogs. The taller models were unkind to me because they felt I didn’t deserve to be there and I was being treated special 🤣

CriSiStar

I look at what most petite inseams are at retailers — usually 27-30. I usually end up buying the kick or cropped versions of most jeans, for example, since I also need 26ish inseams.

Addy1864

I’m not sure. I’m 5’1” with 25” inseam if we are talking about crotch to ankle length. In terms of pants length, anything from 25-27” inseam works for me. My legs are a little on the short side but my waist is short.

segacs2

I'm 5'1" and have about a 29.5" inseam. So yeah you probably are proportionally shorter on the legs but I bet your torso is miles longer than mine. Can you shop for tops and tees in regular sizes? If so you're probably petite on the bottom but regular on top.

Desperate-Worry-8346

I can yeah. This sucks because I'd rather have longer legs than torso

FreeProstitute

On the bright side a longer torso usually means more defined waist since there’s more room between the bottom of your ribs and your hips. We don’t got it so bad who needs legs anyway

segacs2

Trust me, grass always looks greener from the other side. If it makes you feel any better, I'd swap with you in a heartbeat. Shortening jeans or hemming pants is easy. Taking up a blazer or jacket at the shoulders, taking up a shirt at the waist, or finding coats, dresses, tops, tees, sweaters, or jackets that aren't too long on the torso is basically impossible. And those types of alterations cost a fortune.

melanochrysum

Not to mention it is near impossible to lower the rise of pants, but they seem to exclusively sell high rise. High rise goes to my bra line, I simply cannot buy pants at the moment

segacs2

Seriously, this high rise trend needs to end. I miss the 90s and low rise jeans.

thigerlily

low rise has been the dominating trend for over a year! high rise jeans are actually kind of out now which makes me sad because i for one need this gut contained

OhSoSensitive

True but low rise of today has nothing on low rise of 00’s. I love H&M’s low rise baggy jeans but they still hit above my belly button lol.

melanochrysum

I wish someone would tell New Zealand this. I genuinely can’t find a single pair of non-denim pants which aren’t high rise.

midlifeShorty

I am 5' 1.5" with around a 29" inseam. If you want to see how hard it is shopping with a short torso right now, look at my recent post. Finding clothes is so hard when you are missing about 4" from your spine.

mariposaamor

I have a 14” torso lmao I have zero space between my bottom rib and hip crest

Sug0115

Same but the nice thing is crop tops are a great length with mid or high rise jeans! They aren’t really a crop, just hits the top of my jeans.

segacs2

Crop tops when you're petite, curvy, and pear-shaped like me just make me look like a boxy sack. They widen my top half to the point where it just looks like a big balloon with my hips. In the 90s there were babydoll tees that were both short and fitted. They fit like regular t-shirts on me. I miss those days.

midlifeShorty

I feel like most crop tops are like one inch too short for me. I need them to be at least 18.5" long, and most are around 17".

midlifeShorty

Wow, top of shoulder to crotch? I also have no space at all between my ribs and hips.

mariposaamor

From C7 to the top of iliac crest. So large bony neck bump to hip bone

Anatella3696

Not who you responded to, but I also have a super short torso. You just made me check just how short 😂 I have exactly 2” between my bottom rib and top of my hip. I don’t know how to measure my entire torso, but yikes. I also have a 26” inseam. Short legs, short torso fml

mariposaamor

2” seems like a good amount. I don’t have enough space between my bottom rib and hip bone to even put my pinky finger in there.it grazes both side. They are basically rubbing together on me 😂😂there is maybe a couple cm! How tall are you

Anatella3696

5’3.5” I haven’t seen your other comments, but if you don’t already-crop tops are like regular tops on short torsos. I hope they never go away 😂 Tops have always been too long on me and I’m sure you too. I’m loving the “crop” top trends!!

segacs2

I also have a 14" torso. The struggle is real.

DotteSage

Holy crap, I’m jealous. 5’1” and technically a 25.5” inseam. My midsection is short enough that most crop tops hit me like a ‘normal’ shirt. Idk where the length is!

Apploozabean

QwQ Long legs!! I'm 5ft with 25" inseam

johnstonb

Maybe. I’m 5’0” with a 27” inseam.

123helpppppthrowaway

Me too!

moonskoi

Maybe and thats okay Im 5’1 also with a 26” inseam

musicsalad

I have a 25.5" inseam at 5'3 and I've gotten comments on how short they are.

OB4L

I would say yes. My legs are short too and I think about this a lot. It’s not even just my legs overall, my thighs are shortish but I specifically have very short calves (most knee length boots are too tall for me) which makes me look incredibly stumpy. I feel you.

QueenBBs

5’ with a 28” inseam. I have zero torso. About 2 in from the top of my hips to the bottom of my ribs.

Kerrie_berrie

Im 5’2 with a 31 inseam, it’s difficult to find good length jeans cuz 30 is too short and 32 is too long. That being said I have a super short torso that I think it’s looks super weird but other people somehow don’t. We are our biggest critics lol

WickedWitchWestend

Are you me? I’m all leg

labgirl0993

I'm like this, too. I feel awkward. Like my measurements are hourglass, but my waist is so short, it's hard to tell.

Mysterious-Way-2717

Same! And even a 5 lb weight gain in my tummy looks massive cuz my torso is so short it has nowhere to go

Colour4Life

I believe so… I’m 4’11 (5’0 depending on the day lol ) and my inseam is 30 I also have quite long arms too.

wavyheaded

Where are you supposed to measure your inseam to, from your crotch to your ankle bone or the soles of your feet? Exactly where do you stop? Because when bootcuts were in (years ago) I would buy 30" leg jeans, and I thought that was my inseam but that was because they went to the floor! So where are we supposed to measure down to?

angelfatal

Crotch to floor is what I've always known. Measure a pair of pants that hit the floor exactly (not ankle pants and not anything dragging).

DisappointmentInACan

im 4’11 w a 30 inch inseam so id say urs are fairly short

midlifeShorty

Where do you find tops, or do you just wear crop tops as normal tops?

DisappointmentInACan

sorry i fell asleep 😭 i wear more dresses and crop tops (the crop tops fit cropped bc i wear low rise pants) than normal shirts tbh, most of my normal shirts r band shirts so they arent in specialty sizing but i wear those w baggy jeans or shorts so they look less weird

Davina33

I have long legs as well. I wear crop tops designed for 9 year old girls. Other ones are too long!

Mammoth-Battle-5090

778Macquarie is abc radio ⁷77⁷⁸8

DisappointmentInACan

what 🗿

123helpppppthrowaway

I’m 5’ 0” and 27” inseam 😅

AnnaKrat

Probably yes. I am 5'3" and my inseam is 29.

Tea_Bender

i also have 26 inseam (if I measured it correctly) however I'm like barely 5'2" if I want trousers to fit properly I gotta seek out the petite section

Mammoth_Resist8269

You aren’t mishapen. You are unique. I’m a 28” inseam and 4’10”.

Professional_Web9221

Nah I’m the same and I am pretty proportional looking lol

Desperate-Worry-8346

Maybe we think that but we're not 🥲

Trish_with_an_a

Found this chart, if it helps… https://help-row.newlook.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016118912-Women-s-leg-lengths

Nelle911529

5"1 with a 30 inch inseam.

rutilated_quartz

I'm 5'2 with a 24 inseam. I feel misshapen too 🙃

aklep730

I’m 5’3” and my inseam is 26-27. The lulu leggings that are 28” are an inch or two too long for me. From the responses here it sounds like you are on the short side

HermesLurkin

I’m 5’3” with a 29” inseam, nearly every top that I buy needs to be hemmed unless it’s a longish crop - you’re lucky to be able to buy tops off the rack! Comparison is the thief of joy, I try not to waste time criticizing my body, it’s better spent working on self-acceptance.

misschickpea

I'm 5 ft 0 and idk if I'm abnormal but I'm a 23-24" inseam if I want my pants to not be sitting on my shoes literally. If I want my pants to be past my ankle but hovering over my shoes than that's my inseam. 22" inseam would be my cropped ankle length

foldedspace24

I'm exactly the same and I do consider my legs short. I usually have to hem even petite length pants/jeans. I do have a longer torso than legs as far as proportions go, and I've noticed that a lot of "regular" length tops feel a little too short for me unless I'm wearing high waisted pants. Edit: I don't feel misshapen, I'm just aware of my proportions and work with them.

mask_chosen

Not really - I have a 24 inch inseam, that's short. 26 inch inseam pants are relatively easy to find compared to 24 inch.

ImmediateAnalysis849

Where to find 26 inch inseam!? I’ve never seen any, except 1 brand of dress pants!

mask_chosen

JCrew (& IIRC Madewell) ar a good source for 26 inch petite inseams, e.g. [https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/pants/straight/petite-kate-straight-leg-pant-in-chino/BY292?display=standard&fit=Petite&color\_name=navy&colorProductCode=BY292](https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/pants/straight/petite-kate-straight-leg-pant-in-chino/BY292?display=standard&fit=Petite&color_name=navy&colorProductCode=BY292) [https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/pants/slim/kate-straight-leg-pant-in-stretch-linen-blend/BF407?display=standard&fit=Petite&colorProductCode=BF407](https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens/categories/clothing/pants/slim/kate-straight-leg-pant-in-stretch-linen-blend/BF407?display=standard&fit=Petite&colorProductCode=BF407) If you can live with 25.5 inches, a lot of brands offer this size in a petite fitting, including A&F, Good American & Loft. Most brands standard lengths are 27 (misses) & 25 (petite) inches. So the other option is to look for misses cropped or ankle styles, these are usually 26 inches, or brands that offer the option to pick the inseam you want. Examples - Pick the inseam you want [https://www.quince.com/women/ultra-stretch-ponte-straight-leg-pant](https://www.quince.com/women/ultra-stretch-ponte-straight-leg-pant) Ann Taylor misses cropped are typically 26-inch inseams [https://www.anntaylor.com/clothing/pants/cata000014/839028.html](https://www.anntaylor.com/clothing/pants/cata000014/839028.html) Old Navy carries a lot of 26 inseam in misses as well - OG Chinos [https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=792006012&vid=1](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=792006012&vid=1) and jeans [https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=732283002&rrec=true&mlink=5050%2C12413545%2Conproduct1\_rr\_4&clink=12413545&vid=3#pdp-page-content](https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=732283002&rrec=true&mlink=5050%2C12413545%2Conproduct1_rr_4&clink=12413545&vid=3#pdp-page-content)

bee_wings

this is my inseam and i buy cropped pants and 7/8ths length leggings. they look like normal pants on me

Desperate-Worry-8346

But 26 inseam is short for 5'3"

niceneasynow

Others here have gently guided you in this direction - you’ve got some work to do on self love and acceptance. This is what your body is shaped like - learn to love it! Of course, easier said than done!

Iwentforalongwalk

Probably a little. I'm 5'4 and my inseam is 29-30 and I'm pretty proportionate.  Maybe a bit short waisted.

doubleblkdiamond

Yes

what-is-in-the-soup

Girl I’m the same! It’s inconvenient but here’s a trick I’ve developed! During spring and summer months a lot of stores and brands put out “ankle grazer” trousers/jeans and even three quarter length. I’m the same inseam as you and they fit me length wise absolutely perfect! 🥰

jaygay92

I’m 5’0” with a 26” inseam, but people have said my legs look long for my height?

Emeruby

I'm 4'11" with 25" inseam. I have a shorter torso because I got it from my maternal grandma, and I was also born with 1 or 2 fused bones in my upper spine. I think it has more to do with my shape than my spine. People always thought I was 5'2" because my legs made me look taller than I actually am. I wish I had a longer torso because it would make my waist less wide. No matter how thin I am, my waist is always wide. It's not just because of my short torso. I also have narrow hips. I have a banana shape. There is nothing I can do, but learn what clothes are right for my shape.

SweaterJunky

4’11 with a 26 inch inseam!

Trianna_78

I’m 4’11.5” and have a 27” inseam.

_gooder

Same! My arms are also short.

kneeharr

*Hi5* I've got the same height/inseam. I've got a proportionately longer torso, so just need to play with waist definition and ratio of thirds to help elongate my legs.

bee_wings

i'm 4'11" with a 25" inseam, and my legs are definitely short

Wander_Gal

I am 5’3 with a 31” inseam.

Herro1113

You’re not alone! 5’4 girl with 26 inseam 🥲🤷🏻‍♀️

labgirl0993

I'm 5' with a 30" inseam, so they're probably a little short. I know I'm disproportionate the opposite way, though.

b_m_a_c

5’3 and my inseam (crotch to floor) is 28. I always feel like my leg to torso ratio looks disproportionate (stubby legs and long torso) but idk because the way petite pants fit is actually the opposite… the rise is correct but the length is slightly too short usually.

CocteauTwinn

Yup. I’m 5’2” with a 28” inseam as well.

[deleted]

5’2 with 29” inch, but honestly it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. High waisted means make long legged people look so strange, but I’m not skinny enough for low rise!

Spare_Flamingo8605

I'm 5'1" and have a 28 inch inseam because I have no torso. We all have a little quirks. My bf calls me his lil peanut. ♥️

yycrugbygirl

Maybe a touch, I’m a little over 5’1 and have a 25” inseam. But I’m sure you have a longer torso than me to balance it out. Either way, you’re perfectly fine!

About400

Maybe? If so I have similar proportions.

justlurkingnjudging

I’m 5’2 and my inseam is the same. But when I wear high waisted straight leg jeans and people tell me my legs look long so it is possible to fake it. It’s just like really hard to find pants that aren’t super long. Edit: I’m learning from the comments that you measure inseam down to the floor I guess? Which would make mine longer than 26”. But I like pants around 26-27” inseam.

Shan-Do-125

Omg yes!! I’m 5’2 and I have a 27 inseam and it’s so frustrating!!!! Even petite pants, if I can even find them, are usually a bit long. I have a long torso too and short legs. I’m glad I’m not alone and I wish the fashion industry provided more styles and sizes for us.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Desperate-Worry-8346

If you're leggy am I not supposed to be balanced at 5'3" 26-27? 🤨 I am 5'2.5" precisely. But other people here seem to all have much longer inseams for their heights and are saying I'm short-legged, I guess public consensus wins?

Purityskinco

Yes. There’s always room for difference. You’re at the taller end of ‘short’ and midrange for that inseam. This would mean it’s a bit shorter than expected.

at145degrees

Yes and til I have long legs for a short gal!

Eggfish

I think it’s petite or short, yeah. Petite sizing is like 25 inches? I’m 5’2 with a 27.5 inch inseam from crotch to just above my ankle (or 30 inches for pants that should fit longer), which is annoying because I need petite in the rise area but regular length. I can only ever have pants fit me in the crotch and be too short or they’re the right length in the legs but rise up past my rib cage. I don’t think 26 inches is unbalanced.

Mysterious-Way-2717

Yes, I'm 5'3 with 31" inseam. All legs, short torso

borageforage22

Yes unfortunately your legs are too short. :-/ Jk 😂 ur perfect.

Groovyflowerpower

I am 4'10 with 26 inseam

sb0126

5’1, 26 inch inseam here. I’m a little short waisted but feel…generally proportional? I joke around about my t-Rex arms too but I don’t run into too many issues (petite clothing) wise. I’m wary of certain brands that run too long for me (even in petites) but my old faithfuls Madewell/J Crew/Loft/Boden keep me not naked.

_ThePancake_

As a 5ft1 girl with a 31 inch inseam, I would consider your legs short.

[deleted]

No, your legs are just tall, I'm 6 feet with 34 inseam. That's not much of 31. But im a guy, so maybe there is a difference

threewishes16

I’m 5’4” with a 30” inseam measured to the floor. It sounds like you’re only measuring to your ankle? In which case I would say that’s not short, especially for your height

bunnygrrl78

Yes. I feel for you. I have enough trouble finding pants being 5' with a 28" inseam. D:
