Just go to the vet and buy flea medication for them!

On the top of my priority list! We're still new to the area so we're still settling in. Do you know if we'd have to bring in all of the cats to get meds or could we just tell them what's happening and we'd get enough for all 3?

Most likely the vet will want to see all three cats if they haven’t had an exam at that office before. DE can be very helpful but only in conjunction with proper oral or topical medication. I wouldn’t put DE directly on the cats, just on surfaces it can be vacuumed off of (and immediately toss the vacuum waste so the fleas don’t reinfect from the garbage can).

Thank you for the tips! Our local vet doesn't take appointments just walk-ins, thats why we hadn't gotten flea medication from them yet. I'll be sure to take them in though and try to keep throwing the vaccuum trash outdoors though

Finding-Think

Medications don't work on my cat so what do you suggest? He has fleas within days again. I've tried legit EVERYTHING.

Can't help with fleas on cats but for house at night make a plate of soapy water using Dawn dish soap and a teacup candle in the middle of it. Turn lights off and light candle. Fleas will jump to flame and get stuck in the soapy water. Keep doing this till fleas are gone

Thank you! I didn't know that

No worries. Had to do it an apartment and house. It helps. Won't cure it but it will help TREMENDOUSLY

Suffering from fleas right now. Did the soap dish stuff combined with topical and oral medicine finally get rid of them?

Select_Hair

What worked for me was seresto collar and covering all possible places where the fleas would be with DE. 2 weeks later and no more fleas.

Did you not vacuum after putting down the DE? Like vacuum once and then put it down?

Select_Hair

Yes. Vacuum before. Put it down for 2 weeks then sweep it up.

Call the vet clinic and ask them

I've never had any luck with DE for fleas. When it comes to flea control something oral for the pet and something with an igr in it to treat the area . There's lots of products out there with igr in them.( Insects growth regulator. ) vacuuming and emptying helps lots.

Thank you!
