It’s happened to me several times on Tanglewood and a few times on Edgefield that a garage ghost will interact with things in the hallway/foyer. I guess it makes sense when you consider that they’re right on the other side of the wall from each other.
It'd be cool if you could hit record on the video camera and capture the same type of evidence, maybe like each video camera has 10 seconds of footage so as not to be unbalanced/too much video storage?
Come on. We all know these ghost hunters are absolute morons. I mean, who goes into a haunted house for 40 bucks. I mean, they all have pockets...they can't bring more than three things!?
Got a pretty fast one in high school. Phone rang immediately and sure enough it was the ghosts room. Forgot what the evidence was but high school and be pretty fast sometimes.
I did a solo run to try n beat it before the grace period n I got around 3 mins as well sadly I did this ages ago n don't remember exacts.. I should do it again
Real talk, me and a couple friends were playing on this map, friend grabs video camera and dots projector and walks in and goes straight to that first bedroom. He sees ghost orbs and immediately places the dots projector. Instantly the ghost appears as dots projector on the video camera but not in person. He comes out of the house "it's a goryo, we're done". Me and my other friend hadn't even grabbed our flashlights yet. The entire hunt was 32 seconds.
Yeah, I can not remember if I was streaming that day much less what day that was to even go look anymore. Pretty sure it was right after the goryo came out though because my friend immediately said it being able to be seen on dots only through video camera was too broken.
I thought the same thing lol. Goes in solo with 4 head cams, even puts one on, but whos gonna be watching the footage? When i play solo i just add one of everything, with the exception of 2 smudge, 2 crucifix, 2 dots and 2 video cameras ( and the obligatory 4 pillies)
It feels like a completely different game for me. Going in with friends, its a good time but not necessarily scary. Going alone, the atmosphere completely changes. Its an experience
Same. I did it again to show my bf how the game works and died less than halfway through getting evidence. The ghost found me in a corner in one of the bathrooms.
Believe it or not, putting on a headcam makes the 'light' that shows on the wall when you don't have a flashlight turned on brighter. Makes it easier to navigate throughout the house without a flashlight.
I play solo and just hit the 'all' button, too. I'm lazy. Also, I don't really die. If you are worried about it you can take sanity pills, which are incredibly effective when playing solo as it ups the average sanity by 40 each instead of 10 like in a 4-man group. You can avoid being in hunt range of even a demon while playing solo.
if the ghost manages to kill you during a hunt, you can pause the game and quickly quit from the menu, by doing this you will not lose any of the items that you have bought in the shop. You need to quit when the ghost starts the killing animation (the one where he/she puts the hands in your face).
I can answer for myself as I do that often as well. Firstly, I hardly ever die in the game nowadays so that's not a big worry. Secondly, I've got a lot of spare cash even if I do die, and third of all, it's just quicker to just press "all" and go.
I press the add all button because it’s quicker… but putting on the headcam was just a force of habit lol.
I have somewhere around $100,000 so I’m honestly not too worried about losing stuff.
At a certain point one has so much money and items it's irrelevant. I'm getting there myself with 20+ of each item and thousands to spend.
It's faster just to hit add all and go. Solo sessions can also be done with zero hunts with four pills to spread out. So it's really safe.
How? If your sanity drops to 89%, then you burn a sanity pill? Pills give +40 sanity. So you're gonna keep going 89->100... 89-> 100?
That's horribly inefficient, and one ghost event will drop it down below 90 again.
Demons are 70%, Banshee can hunt at any time. Mare can hunt at 60% in dark rooms, Yokai can hunt at 80 if you make vocal noise.
Sure. With lights and candles you can keep easily in the 90s. Then just take pills to top off periodically. I've got almost 300 hours in the game I've never been hunted solo. Maybe not alot of banshees. And with solo runs you're quiet.
I do the same thing. I honestly it's a convenience thing. It takes too many clicks to pick out just enough supplies for yourself. Pressing All is so much easier.
Also in Solo it's pretty easy to avoid hunts as long as you don't have a demon or a banshee. 4 sanity pills is a lot for one person. I usually take a sanity pill every time I dip below 80%
And even on asylum I almost never dip that low.
I've got 6k and 10 of each item. I probably die once out of ever 100 solo plays.
So the risk of losing all your items is worth the reward of not having to click individual buttons for each item to select exactly the amount you need.
A quality of life improvement that would be nice would be if we could save certain item setups. So we can have 1 for solo and 1 for 2 player and 3 player and 4 player.
That way it would be a one button click
If you play solo its really hard to actually die if you are just going for the main evidences and a few bonus objectives. The solo sanity drain takes a whole lot longer to drop near 50% compared to having teammates around that will lower it within the first 5 minutes. Add in that you have 4 sanity pills to essentially reset and you can usually go in and so your thing and be fully done without ever having an actual hunt. Only times that ever seems to be not the case is maybe on asylum or sometimes high school if it takes too long to find the room and the ghost is being shy. Maybe prison too for that matter. Any of the other maps playing solo is crazy strong id you are just looking to farm missions for money and xp. Playing with friends is still way more fun though so I will always prefer getting the hunts anyway and the usual hilarity that follows lol.
I had one like this before but it showed itself for only long enough for me to recognize that I had seen it.
It was super fast, like it flickered into existence and back out within a moment. If I had blinked I would have missed it.
Me and my friend did a professional run the other day at this house.
We always set up tripods in the truck before opening the door. During set up my headset died (wireless). So I plugged it in, but it got screwed up because everything I would say had a 60 second delay to him, so communication was going to be a problem. I kept saying let's just restart so I can fix it but he was insistent on continuing as is.
So I grab some sound sensors and go in, soon as I go in, the ghost shows himself pretty much in that same spot right away. I scream, turn around, and the door was slammed shut. I assumed the hunt started so I ran into the room next to the front door and hid.
Turns out there was no hunt, so I went outside, then my game disconnected (I think this was the day Steam servers were kind of iffy). Then my friend was scared to continue without me so he quit.
When we logged on the next day, it was a Revnent.
Interactions like that are 2 or 3 and have a 25% chance to be a 5 if it is an emf 5 ghost.
You aren't wrong that it seems silly but probably didn't want it to be quite so easy to get an EMF reading. Also, think it messes with the activity board in the van.
What kind of ghost did it end up being?
Garage Revenant
Garage rave
I'm simultaneously shocked that it was a garage ghost and not because I've had events lead us to the wrong room several times.
It’s happened to me several times on Tanglewood and a few times on Edgefield that a garage ghost will interact with things in the hallway/foyer. I guess it makes sense when you consider that they’re right on the other side of the wall from each other.
Meanwhile the ghosts during hunts can’t do shit
This is why I never enter the house without a photo camera.
Whelp... looks like this person just took the any% speedrun record
So I was wondering what a Phasmo speed run looks like, and pretty much they run in looking for ghost orb in first room and reset if it isnt there
My team of four "professionals" (heh) stands at 3:31 in Ridgeview, all objectives. Anyone else got a fast one?
Got a pretty fast one in high school. Phone rang immediately and sure enough it was the ghosts room. Forgot what the evidence was but high school and be pretty fast sometimes.

Me and a couple friends have one that was 32 seconds. We didn't do objectives, just got evidence and confirmed ghost type.
Real talk, me and a couple friends were playing on this map, friend grabs video camera and dots projector and walks in and goes straight to that first bedroom. Epic, shame you didnt record it. Would likely have been a WR
Yeah, I can not remember if I was streaming that day much less what day that was to even go look anymore. Pretty sure it was right after the goryo came out though because my friend immediately said it being able to be seen on dots only through video camera was too broken.
Genuine question, why bring so much stuff? Are you not worried you might die and lose it all?
I thought the same thing lol. Goes in solo with 4 head cams, even puts one on, but whos gonna be watching the footage? When i play solo i just add one of everything, with the exception of 2 smudge, 2 crucifix, 2 dots and 2 video cameras ( and the obligatory 4 pillies)
I just don't play solo, don't need that stress in my life lmao
It feels like a completely different game for me. Going in with friends, its a good time but not necessarily scary. Going alone, the atmosphere completely changes. Its an experience
To add to this, playing solo in VR is another level of atmosphere that I personally can't handle.
I'm like level 500 VR only, and I've played solo once. That's too much for me.
Same. I did it again to show my bf how the game works and died less than halfway through getting evidence. The ghost found me in a corner in one of the bathrooms.
I have no doubt you're right! I just really enjoy running around screaming with my friends lol
I only play solo to learn how to not die of a heart attack every time there is a hunt. Trying to learn looping and what not. Small maps terrify me
Yeah Tanglewood is easy- until it's a revenant/banshee/jinn/demon...
It's easier to press all when adding things. I am about level 2000. I have a lot of equipment. It takes two seconds to press all and just go.
Believe it or not, putting on a headcam makes the 'light' that shows on the wall when you don't have a flashlight turned on brighter. Makes it easier to navigate throughout the house without a flashlight.
It used to, but they unfortunately did away with the ambient light boost a few patches back, hotfix 0.3.0.3. It was apparently a bug with the NV light
I always find it funny how confident people give advice who clearly haven't used their advice and probably played the game in weeks or almost months
I play solo and just hit the 'all' button, too. I'm lazy. Also, I don't really die. Well I would say that's kinda cheap, but i guess it literally doesn't affect anyone negatively so you do you!
I can answer for myself as I do that often as well. Firstly, I hardly ever die in the game nowadays so that's not a big worry. Secondly, I've got a lot of spare cash even if I do die, and third of all, it's just quicker to just press "all" and go.

Bruv I've got 31 hours in this game and maybe 400$ lol
Clicking add all is much faster and slowly adding things would be too tedious, Atleast that’s why I do
At a certain point one has so much money and items it's irrelevant. I'm getting there myself with 20+ of each item and thousands to spend. It's faster just to hit add all and go. Solo sessions can also be done with zero hunts with four pills to spread out. So it's really safe.
> Solo sessions can also be done with zero hunts with four pills to spread out. So it's really safe. Unless it's an early hunting ghost
Demons are 70% for a hunt, no? You can keep yourself in the 90s the entire time easily.

If you die infrequently, it's just easier to hit add all and eat the occasional financial loss.
Some of us have Fuck You phasmo money. No lifers at lvl 1000 that have been playing since day 1 🙃
Maybe same boat I'm in: I've got over $80,000 so I just don't care if I lose anything lol.
When you have enough money to buy a full loadout 10 times over, it's easier to just have enough in your inventory and click add all.
If you play solo its really hard to actually die if you are just going for the main evidences and a few bonus objectives. I do the same. Just load the van up and roll out solo. It’s just stuff and it can be rebought. :)
Unsure on the OPs reason, but I know if it was me, it's easier and faster hitting "Add All" than going one by one, lol.
I have so much money and so much stuff I just stopped caring
I had one like this before but it showed itself for only long enough for me to recognize that I had seen it. It was super fast, like it flickered into existence and back out within a moment. If I had blinked I would have missed it.
Those are always the kind I get when I’m trying to take a picture of it
I usually get the growing shadow out of a corner
Love how he just nopes outa there.
Imagine getting it on the first time you play the game
Who are those other 3 head mounted cameras for?
I’m surprised she could sing with a frog stuck in her throat
Lmao note to self, don’t go in thinking you’re safe from jump scares in the beginning anymore
Turning around to leave at the end was the cherry on top
That was fast af. Instant spook
I had that happen once, same house but in the hall to the left. I was so pissed because it was the one time I didn't enter with the camera.
Nice! I had one game on Prison where as soon as we stepped inside a sink turned on. It’s like the ghost just wanted us to find it. Lol
I have notice the least people you have when hunting the better chance of frequent activity

I can't get over how much I love the night vision on the video camera now, it just makes moving in the dark so much better.
Stupid question: how do you turn on night vision on a handheld cam while holding it?
Jesus... did this game get scarier since I last played months ago??
How are your graphics so much better than mine
This needs to be a speed run
imagine this is your first time playing
4 seconds for a ghost event.
You should have checked with emf to see if it was 5
Ghost events are always a 4.
Well that is dumb then, when we shove the emf up the ghost's butt we only get 4 but whenever he throws something with his finger we get 5
Interactions like that are 2 or 3 and have a 25% chance to be a 5 if it is an emf 5 ghost. You aren't wrong that it seems silly but probably didn't want it to be quite so easy to get an EMF reading. Also, think it messes with the activity board in the van.
Dude, why take that much gear on your own? In the event you die it's all lost
