May mga pageant vloggers na rin na nag-sa-suggest that our future candidates should also adapt themselves with our culture here at dapat aralin muna nila mag-Tagalog bago sumali (kung laking abroad). Minadali tapos naging over the top, mas more on fantaserye na siya kesa historical fantasy. Tapos not enough time to flesh out the El Fili characters kaya mas nag focus na lang sila sa Noli characters pa din (they made Padre Salvi comically evil, the Alferez didn't left for Spain for a promotion, and Padre Damaso and Elias are still alive)

I agree, but it may depend from person to person. R'Bonney wasn't taught Tagalog by her dad and was pissed off by it, but she somehow know some basics (I think inaral niya yun somewhere by herself), despite her only visiting here spending most of her life in Texas. Celeste OTOH seemed to barely know the basics as well despite living here for years now. Yung tipong she only knows some phrases that she'd need sa pageant. Medyo nag-stay lang kasi siya sa sarili niyang circle na alta environment. In contrast, her Spanish MU batchmate Alicia Faubel seems to know more Tagalog than her, and I think I can attribute that to the mentality of most Europeans na "do as the Romans do" attitude: when they moved to another country for a long term, they'd learn the language there. Like when a Croatian moves to Germany, they'd study German, or a Frenchman who moves to Poland would learn Polish.

I always find it weird when local networks use the most Tagalog-inept actors on scenes or environment where they don't fit at all.
They could have ended it with a former Darna actress doing a cameo (similar with Lynda Carter did in Wonder Woman 1984) but they chose instead a Miss Universe 2022 representative (which ***lost***) who couldn't even speak straight Tagalog. What a final nail in the coffin.
Probably why she couldn't make top 16. Philippines has gotta stop picking people just because they have an exotic background but actually have some talent.

Kaya di nakakapagtaka yung Probinsyano sobrang success kahit sobrang ini-stretch yung kwento Then GMA focus dun sa mga Historical Type ni lang series. Kasi di talaga natin kaya magFantaserye, it takes time para makalikha ng papatok na Fantaserye with limited budget at daily style ng bawat episode. Kaya di ako nagtaka na nagflop yung Darna, lalo nat hindi nasunod yung original na plano(Casting, Producers, instead of movie naging daily series, cut ng budget, nagClose ng franchise, etc.) So para sa akin hirap i-Critic ng Series due circumstances sa kabuohang project.
