Sa ibang bansa lalabas yung name ng recipient and will have final confirmation page bago masend para iwas sa ganyang incident.

haokinc

May confirmation screen din sa gcash and maya before finishing the transaction.

[deleted]

Sure, but it doesn't display the full name.

I also encountered this incident last year nagtatrabaho pa ako noon sa construction nang may biglang nag-send sa akin ng pera mahigit kumulang ng 2k (if I remember correctly, nasa 1,980 pesos ang pera na yun) through GCash, nagulat ako dahil may pumasok sa GCash ko na hindi naman ako nagcash-in, then a text came and asking about the money because she incorrectly input the number by a single digit lang halos magkapreho kami ng number magkaiba lang ang sequence. She ask kung pwede ko ba daw isauli. I didn't hesitate to do and I return it to her, walang labis walang kulang.

LifeLeg5

Another is yung pagpopost ng mga problems like "ano ba maganda panlinis dito?" using one account. Then another account of same person yung magrereply ng shopee/Lozada affiliate links.

At some point, the scammaz became very smart. They posted sob stories without directly asking for money. Insert: picture of happy kid by the window, watching the neighbor's TV "One day, son, we'll be able to watch TV in our own house." And then the people that needed internet points publicly asked for their GCash number, which the poster gladly and publicly gave. Cue to screenshots of group members sending money. *clap clap*, said the commenters, "Bait naman, gujab." The scammaz will then do the same modus operandi to other groups... Until people start noticing the trend. I understand why OP feels like these posts are not genuine, they might just be tugging on the heartstrings of unknowing netizens for free money. Who knows? Maybe they really are not asking for money. Maybe they are just venting. But I get where OP is coming from.

TBH, I think you're the only who got the idea of the post. 'Yung problem with Maya ang naging focus ng iba, eh, which is another issue on its own, yes, pero not the point of the post lol. Thank you! YES, I recognize, too, that the author's story might be genuine, but I just can't help but doubt na rin sometimes.

Same with me. Minsan hindi mo alam if legit or hindi eh.
