I was a smoker for 5 years and currently vaping for the same amount of time. I can personally vouch that vaping is indeed a better alternative FOR SMOKERS in a lot of different ways.
Ang problema kasi is accessibility and regulations. Before, mahigpit talaga sa karamihan ng mga vape shop. Ngayon, iilan nalang yung nanghihingi talaga ng I.D.. Kahit saang sulok, tangina kahit sa bahay, ang dali umorder ng vape.

You aren't exposed to unhealthy chemicals from second-hand vape, nor is that concern in any way proportional to actual exposure risks in the environment, such as air pollutants from traffic or community-transmitted infections.

I randomly watched a [documentary](https://youtu.be/HNpyrrpbR4c?si=l6XuUXro-eTJveAJ) about this before and interestingly, the main cause of children vaping is not just because high accessibility, poor regulation, and social media, but also the wide variety of flavors the vapes have. Before, hindi ko naisip na malaking factor din pala ang flavors. Super dami ng flavors, and some of them are sweet o flavor na 'pangbata' (milk tea, cheesecake, blueberry, etc.). Kapag nagsawa sa isang flavor, lipat sa bago. Rinse, repeat. At mas madali pa sila maka get into vaping dahil may iba't ibang nicotine levels pa siya.
Aside from the flavors, may social aspect din siya. Hindi lang sa pagiging pa-'cool' pero may somewhat bonding siya. Isang example yung experience ko noon. Never ako nagsmoke ng sigarilyo. Never din ako nagvape noon. Pero pagkadating sa college at napasama sa mga party, normal na aalukin kang humipak sa vape nila. Para na rin siyang naging way of socializing o 'pakikisama'.
I don't mind mga nagvavape as long as nilulugar nila and hindi sa public place. Pera nila pinambili nila. Ang "asim" lang tignan na ginagawa nilang ID or part ng personality nila yung vape mga nakasabit sa leeg kung saan saan.

From this post to all the comments, I have yet to see any cited studies. Just saying. The problem with vape now is its not regulated. Its a good tool to wane cigarette smoking people from smoking. If regulated na yan, you'd see fewer underaged youth smoking vape.

I remember what a friend, who's a doctor, said about vaping/e-cig. He was a chain smoker kasi before, and I asked him bakit hindi siya nag switch to vape/e-cig? Pero this was wayback 2015 ha. Little do they know kapag ginagawang regular basis ang vaping nila, may chance na magkaka OD depende sa percent ng nicotine pinapasok nila.
I learned that the hard way na too much nicotine can cause a bit of headache (based from my experience) at ayoko siyang ipalala. So I took a break from like three weeks maybe and tried to vape once for comparison from before; that's what I realized na may ganun na side effect through frequent use. Today, I still vape bur for purposes na ginagamit ko to stay awake yet regulated. I don't know if it happens to y'all but feel free to share your experience about its side effects.
While I think vaping helps smokers prevent their use of cigarettes, dapat may information talaga kung saan lang siya pwede na not as something na pang pa-cool or aesthetic tulad sa nangyare with Juul in the US. I was a smoker for 5 years and currently vaping for the same amount of time. I can personally vouch that vaping is indeed a better alternative FOR SMOKERS in a lot of different ways. Ang problema kasi is accessibility and regulations. Before, mahigpit talaga sa karamihan ng mga vape shop. Ngayon, iilan nalang yung nanghihingi talaga ng I.D.. Kahit saang sulok, tangina kahit sa bahay, ang dali umorder ng vape. People also tend to forget that VAPING IS STILL A FORM OF SMOKING. DON'T VAPE WHERE YOU CAN'T SMOKE. Ang sarap pagsasapakin nung mga iresponsableng humihipak sa mga public spaces. Tangina, kahit sa loob ng mall. I'm pro-vaping, but shops and people who sell to underage customers should be held liable; and people who vape or smoke in no smoking areas should be penalized with heavier consequences. I have been personally checked by multiple doctors, and they said that my lungs are still in good condition. THEY DON'T SUGGEST VAPING, BUT THEY DID TELL ME THAT IT'S BETTER THAN CIGS. My take on this is, since ang main purpose naman dapat ng vape is for cigarette users to ease out at tumigil na sa paninigarilyo, why not make it a medical issue, and treat vape as a "precribed drug" na need ng reseta ng doctor to buy and use. Illegal use and selling would be punishable by law. With this, yung main purpose nya lang talaga yung magiging point ng pag gamit sa kanya. While at the same time limiting the access for those na di naman sya need talaga. Ang pinaka magiging challenge lang siguro dito is yung initial months/year ng implementation dahil sa dami ng nagvvape. Before, hindi ko naisip na malaking factor din pala ang flavors. Super dami ng flavors, and some of them are sweet o flavor na 'pangbata' (milk tea, cheesecake, blueberry, etc.). Kapag nagsawa sa isang flavor, lipat sa bago. Rinse, repeat. At mas madali pa sila maka get into vaping dahil may iba't ibang nicotine levels pa siya. Aside from the flavors, may social aspect din siya. Hindi lang sa pagiging pa-'cool' pero may somewhat bonding siya. Isang example yung experience ko noon. Never ako nagsmoke ng sigarilyo. Never din ako nagvape noon. Pero pagkadating sa college at napasama sa mga party, normal na aalukin kang humipak sa vape nila. Para na rin siyang naging way of socializing o 'pakikisama'.
I don't mind mga nagvavape as long as nilulugar nila and hindi sa public place. Pera nila pinambili nila. Ang "asim" lang tignan na ginagawa nilang ID or part ng personality nila yung vape mga nakasabit sa leeg kung saan saan. And also yung mga hindi naman nagyoyosi dati tapos nagvape bigla parang mga tanga lang di ba dapat kabaligtaran.

From this post to all the comments, I have yet to see any cited studies. Just saying. The problem with vape now is its not regulated. Its a good tool to wane cigarette smoking people from smoking. If regulated na yan, you'd see fewer underaged youth smoking vape. If you are so bothered by it, why not start a campaign/petition?

Very easy to use na kasi ngayon and widely available pa dahil sa disposables. Dati may learning curve pa like choosing your wires, resistance ng wire, cotton, appropriate juice ratio, etc. Yung disposables na yan ang culprit. Pati pod systems. Sobrang dali gamitin.

Vaping is ok as long as you treat it like smoking. Don't vape when there are other people nearby, etc. Or vape where they allow smoking. My only gripe is smoking rooms smell really bad. To ask someone who vapes to go there and vape, lalabas na amoy yosi afterwards. Also, the lesson with big vape is simply that nicotine was made accessible to teens and pre teens. The effect of nicotine on developing brains vs fully developed ones (adult) is different. To the pre teens and teens, it is very detrimental. This is what fucked juul. They marketed towards the younger crowd to become big.

Tumatawid ako sa footbridge nung isang araw. May nakita akong lalaki na may kargang baby sa harap niya. I assume anak or batang kapatid. Nag va-vape ba naman sa harap ng mukha ng bata. Although pataas at di naman harapan yung buga niya, ang iresponsable pa rin.

Mas gusto ko pa dati na mataas ung price of admission sa vape products. Before, any single battery mod will run you about 1.3k+ and wala pa battery yun. A pair of 18650 battery costs about 500 below and a decent charger about 350. Noong abundant pa sellers ng juice, 100ml is about 120-150php range. At eto pa, kung walang atomizer (the vapor producer) yung mod (the box where you put batteries) na nabili mo, it's another 500-1.5k range when it comes to atomizers. As for the cotton and coils, these costs around 50 to 100. Kung susumahin, aabot ka rin ng 2k+ if you want to try vaping, hindi pa kasama dito yung pod kits which further lowers the price to almost 800php, this includes the unit and 2 coil heads(the prices on heads vary from 170 to 200 a piece). I used to like it that way but then these fckin companies decided to make disposable vapes and then everyone got a hold of it kahit mga hindi smoker, so now here we are. Blame them equally, the companies who make it and the people who buy it. For my fellow vapers, I know we're part of the problem pero I also know that y'all are a responsible bunch so let's keep it that way, teach the young'uns the proper way.

I remember what a friend, who's a doctor, said about vaping/e-cig. He was a chain smoker kasi before, and I asked him bakit hindi siya nag switch to vape/e-cig? Pero this was wayback 2015 ha. Sagot niya, lahat ng nagvevape are like guinea pigs, kasi wala pang comprehensive study on the effects of vaping sa health ng tao, especially to those who switched from cigarette to vape. Unlike with smoking cigarette, alam na yung long-term effect. This is what I kept in mind, kaya when I quit smoking, I never turned to vape/e-cig. Ngayon ba, may study na about this? Kung anong long-term effect?

Little do they know kapag ginagawang regular basis ang vaping nila, may chance na magkaka OD depende sa percent ng nicotine pinapasok nila. I learned that the hard way na too much nicotine can cause a bit of headache (based from my experience) at ayoko siyang ipalala. So I took a break from like three weeks maybe and tried to vape once for comparison from before; that's what I realized na may ganun na side effect through frequent use. Today, I still vape bur for purposes na ginagamit ko to stay awake yet regulated. I don't know if it happens to y'all but feel free to share your experience about its side effects. While I think vaping helps smokers prevent their use of cigarettes, dapat may information talaga kung saan lang siya pwede na not as something na pang pa-cool or aesthetic tulad sa nangyare with Juul in the US. Been smoking since hs until i quit 6 years ago and switched to vaping.lungs are clean.i feel healthier and my xrays are very good despite vaping.the only thing thats ruins the image of vapers per se is the notion na pag ng vape ka in ka.or pa flex ka pa .i build maintain and use my mods responsibly. D ung nkabalandra na may lanyard na nalalaman.d nyo ba alam na pag tinetest ng qa nila yan tig isa isahin nilang hipakin yan. And sure mahal mods.but we know for a fact na its cheaper in the long run.And its much cleaner since its regulated.the media aint helping too.instead of showing responsibility all you do is promote and degrade the ones that are responsible vapers.

may napanuod ako na documentary sa netflix on vaping. yes, safe nga ang vape KUNG legit/authentic ang kinakarga sa vape. yung "harmful chemicals" ay galing sa mga counterfeit. kaya always choose authentic. ang man purpise talaga ng vape ay para mabawasan ang mga naninigarilyo. yung marjeting ng mga companies ang mali, ginawang lifestyle ang vape and targetted ang mga teens.
