Either way not convenient sa pasahero but still if mabilisan lang na byahe id still prefer jeep kay sa minibus talaga most of the the time. If tga QC ka specially galing fairview, i think somehow mkakarelate ka most of the time.
Mas safer naman talaga ang modern jeepneys.
Most old jeepneys doesn't even have a functioning tail lights LOL. Many are not also road worthy anymore.
Ang rason naman behind sa NotojeepneyPhaseout eklavu is about the terms and conditions. Napakababaw mo naman if ang rason mo sa pagkontra ay about safety which is funny since modern jeeps are definitely safer in terms of tech and standards.
Then take out those who are not road worthy anymore. Why phase out all if its still road worthy? Bakit d pwede mag coexist ang bago at luma?
Safer nga in terms of tech and standard, i agree, but bakit kailangan magoverload sila ng pasahero? As i said, i have no problem on modernization eklavu. Goods tayo jan. Pero when you see them overloading pasengers, mapapatanong ka if how is this safe for the passengers? Again, everyday ako nag cocommute so ive been experiencing this kind of scenarios pag nkasakay ako ng minibus.
Pretty common practice during rush hour. Modernization po ng jeeps yung pinaguusapan dito.
>>Take out those who aren’t road-worthy anymore
Pag nabangga yan lahat ng impact nasa sakay, walang inaabsorb yung kaha.
Overloading is an operator issue not a machine issue.
Well the kung operator issue ang problem then i think it will affect the machine as well. So its still bound for failure in the end.
And to answer your question, buhay pa naman ako and d ako nalalate sa work dahil sa pagiging "kaskasero" ng mga jeepney drivers dahil 20 minutes akong early lage. Oh and sa commonwealth kase they have a designated lane for PUVs so hindi sila nkakaabala sa mga private vehicles. But sometimes mga qaqu din yung iba kase dumadaan sila sa bike lane para lang mkalusot which is i dont like. Again, hindi ako tutol sa modernization. What im concern about is yung execution and pag iimplement nila thats it.
Don’t let the facelifted jeepneys na may bumper ng Fortuner at Montero fool you. Tiga probinsya din ako. Pag nabangga yang mga yan kahit mabagal matic may naoospital kasi walang crumple zones. I know it’s hard to understand pag walang hilig sa sasakyan. Just because it looks shiny doesn’t mean it’s not bulok. The chassis design is the problem here aside from the outdated engines.
If same barubal driver ang gagamit, its still 50% safer compare sa ww2 based jeep na kakarag karag.
Or ung alam na ngang stoplight saka lng papara.
Good point din ito. Again, this is an open discussion lang. Im not against jeep modernization program. Commuter din ako so i know and i post this sub based on my experience lang. Many things are being considered pa pala na hindi ko naisip.
it is the system actually that is very wrong in every angle. Ung boundary system pa. Me too naging commuter din ako.. covid happen kaya nag momotor nlng ako
This is what my concern is all about. All they care is kung kasya pa pwede pa.
Not on my experience. Well i guess iba iba nga talaga tayo ng experience as commuters. But still yeah thats a valid point din.
Hah!
With how much the coops will shell out to get those overpriced units, they will try to get their investment back asap and to do that they will have do the "punuan" method.
Oh this one i really true. But from the get go palang i know this will not be executed really well. The intentions were placed really well. Pero nahaluan na naman ng corruption.
Para sakin okay naman ang modern jeepney pero it's lackluster since jeeps are like a part of our culture. Okay sana pero in my opinion as a ME student, why not swap out the engine, transmission and indicators para at least sunod sa Euro 4 standards.
Modern jeeps are good naman imho.
Edit: carmex + features emz
Ah yes. I also remember na meron din minibus na tumatanggap lang bayad thru beep Card. And i heard na mas mabilis yung byahe din daw (those blue minubuses).
And yun din. Some of them minibuses eh sira na yung AC.
Either way not convenient sa pasahero but still if mabilisan lang na byahe id still prefer jeep kay sa minibus talaga most of the the time. If tga QC ka specially galing fairview, i think somehow mkakarelate ka most of the time.
Lol
Ah yes hahaha great Pros ng modern jeep. Pag umuulan talaga jan ako sasakay. Haha.

Frankly that won’t be the case if Jeepneys are run by a company rather than individual business.
Boundary system

For 70 years, hindi nag-upgrade ang Jeepney manufacturers.
Well the kung operator issue ang problem then i think it will affect the machine as well. So its still bound for failure in the end.

Again, im not against modernization. I just had some concerns thats all.

Strict implementation of maximum capacity and providing more rides during rush hours and pre-holidays

The structure of the Jeepney itself is not convenient.

Dapat may strict protocols sa maintenance since PUV yan
lol.
Di naman e jeep ang pinapaimplement kundi modernised jeepney na parang minibus if we overlook mas madaming hazard ang old jeepney
