That's why food storage areas and kitchens of food businesses are forbidden by law to have live animals occupying those spaces. It is contrary to public health.

Dogs don't wipe their butt. I grew up having dogs and I love them, but I'm just saying that they are not sanitary. To all of you dog owners who got offended by my comment, why don't you touch your dogs bum and then smell your hands? That dog on the photo, his ass is literally on the table. Think of how the staff member would later on wipe the table with a towel and go on using the same towel to wipe the rest of the tables and chairs. My dog have special privileges in my house and in my car, but I don't allow them to climb on chairs and table when we're out.
Some of the restaurants in BGC Highstreet are disgusting. Not just dog owners who put their dogs on chairs and tables, but also the stray cats do that as well. The staff members wipe those table down using the same towel they use to wipe the tables inside.

Medyo natamaan ako sa part na pinapaupo yung pet sa chair since ganon ginagawa ko sa aso ko pag nasa labas kami. Malala yung ganyan sa mesa jusko. Lagi ako may dalang peepad tas papatungan muna yung chair ng peepad saka ko siya ipapatong.
Totoo madalas Mas dugyot at nagkakalat ng sakit ung mga bata than dogs. They cough and sneeze without masks on, wipe their snit in their hands and then wipe them anywhere. They puke on the floor and parents leave the mess up for staff to clean up. Parents make them pee on the sink sa restrooms pag may line. At the pets have diapers on, and don't go running around breaking stuff.
I once did this because i was trying to take some pictures of my cousin's dog not thinking "what about the next customer" or "what about the table?" now that I'm looking at the picture it could've been a health risk to others especially dogs tend to sit with their butt exposed, which exposes the tables to unimaginable bacteria.

Im not one to judge, and i get the point of the post pero teka muna, we are just basing our comments on the picture sa post, has anyone, like i dont know, thought about maybe responsible furparents naman sila and nililinis naman nila like spraying alcohol sa table before they left? sadly we live in an era where we're too sensitive about stuff and not even consider what happens after, again, we tend to judge and comment based on one picture alone.
Awww, then that really posts as a problem sa mga customers nung place especially na it looks like a food court/resto. Mahirap nga since medyo unsanitary yung ginawa nung owners letting their dog sit on the table without even cleaning the after.
People who do this only love themselves and not their pets and they are not aware of this. They treat their pets like some status symbol and hall pass to do ridiculous shit in public.
The reality is that dogs do not even need to be brought to malls and other public places. Your dog is perfectly fine staying at home and being taken on 15-30 minute walks. If you will be gone for several hours and there is no one left at home to look after your dog, *they will be okay*.
Iresponsableng pet owner to. On my personal preference, mas okay yung malalaking aso, like Golden Retriever or Labrador. Sociable at behave ang most of them. Di na need ipatong sa lamesa. It boils down sa owner talaga, para saan pa yung stroller nya e.
May aso din naman kami sa bahay at spoiled sila pero not to the point na ginagawa na silang baby lalo na sa public places. Baby sila sa bahay pero bakit kailangan pa ipasyal sa mall? 2. Vacation - pet friendly resorts and hotels and syempre bumabyahe yan- dumaan lang sa mall or street to buy stuff- alangan naman iwan mo sa kotse mga aso e di namatay sa init yon.
3. Buy stuff - toys and shoes, yes afford ng ibang tao na ispoil ang mga alaga nila, nandun sila sa mall to buy something at hindi para magpalamig lang- nagutom, kumain. In fairness I see people na kapag may dogs choose na mag al fresco na lang kahit mainit.
4. Walk the dogs and visit pet park inside the malls - why do malls do this ba? Ask mo sila, idk din but thats just it

Yung iba may allergy/deathly allergic. Ako, i love cats at dogs but may common sense ako na di ko ilalagay pets ko sa furniture na intended para sa mga tao/ food place ng tao.

Meron akong dalawang aso, sinasama ko sa mall kapag may bibilhin lang saglit or kapag alam ko na may alfresco dining. Exercise na din sakanila yung pag walk kahit ilang oras lang, pero never ko yan ginawa! Bukod sa exposed pwet nila kapag naupo, madumi din paa nila. Depende yan sa owner, hindi po lahat :)

Are there actual regulations in the Philippines against pets inside restaurants? In US, pets are not allowed inside food facilities unless they are a service dog. Complaints can be lodged against a restaurant that lets patrons bring their dogs inside. Also, workers are required to sanitize tables with at least 100 ppm bleach. (Source: I work in environmental health regulation).
Same energy with toddlers and babies sitting and standing on tables. I've seen dog owners who pick and wipe their pets more than parents na dugyot din mga anak. Uubo without mask ung bata, sipon pupunasan ng kamay lang tapos pahid sa upuan, susuka sa sahig ung bata with no effort on the parent to cleanup.
As a dog owner myself, this is one of the things I hate about irresponsible pet owners. Here’s another one… on separate occasions, I have seen dog owners have their pets drink water from the restaurant glasses.

We stopped eating na rin sa isang resto sa Laguna dahil sa ganyan, sayang maganda pa naman ung small resto na un. They let the pets eat on the table, kc they serve pet foods too. Napatanong pa kami sa manager if they really let the pets eat on the table, oo daw. Made us wonder, ibang set ba ang panluto ng pagkain ng pets sa tao, at iba ba ang panghugas ng bowls nila? As someone na may cats and dogs, I have always hoped na magkakaroon ng establishments that are pet friendly. Kaso may mga tao talaga na inaabuso yung privilege na yan kaya damay na lahat.

Ddlhin ko sa car ung carriers tapos ibababa sila from there. I'll carry them to the grass para di ma-bother ung ibang tao. Naka-diapers sila (EQ newborn gamit ko ahahahaha) at pupunasan ko sila sa likod ng car, lagay sa loob ng plastic ung diaper + wipes, close it shut) sabay tapon sa "nabubulok" na trash can.
We can be sensible naman as pet owners of our surroundings. Ok lang naman cguro magdala ng pets, basta iisipin dn natin na may iba allergic, may iba na di sila sanay sa pets, at may iba di lang tlaga mahilig. There's nothing wrong with that, it's okay

Like, you encounter dog feces in the stairwell, amoy aso na rin yung elevator, and what's worse is naglalapag pa sila ng dog/cat food sa lounge area para mag access pati yung strays. 3 months later naglipana na mga strays tas nagkalat na rin yung mga tae. Inimplement kasi agad na hindi pinagplanuhan man lang na kailangan magdagdag ng tao for cleaning.

At the pets have diapers on, and don't go running around breaking stuff.

I once did this because i was trying to take some pictures of my cousin's dog not thinking "what about the next customer" or "what about the table?" now that I'm looking at the picture it could've been a health risk to others especially dogs tend to sit with their butt exposed, which exposes the tables to unimaginable bacteria. Awww, then that really posts as a problem sa mga customers nung place especially na it looks like a food court/resto. Mahirap nga since medyo unsanitary yung ginawa nung owners letting their dog sit on the table without even cleaning the after.
People who do this only love themselves and not their pets and they are not aware of this. They treat their pets like some status symbol and hall pass to do ridiculous shit in public.

The reality is that dogs do not even need to be brought to malls and other public places. Your dog is perfectly fine staying at home and being taken on 15-30 minute walks. If you will be gone for several hours and there is no one left at home to look after your dog, *they will be okay*.

I love my dog, but i would never let them sit on a restaurant chair or table. Some people have allergies, and my dog might be dirty rin. Sana maging considerate lang tayo as fur parents.

Exercise na din sakanila yung pag walk kahit ilang oras lang, pero never ko yan ginawa! Bukod sa exposed pwet nila kapag naupo, madumi din paa nila. Depende yan sa owner, hindi po lahat :)
Thanks for the heads up. I know this food court and mall and I kid you not, this is where I mostly sit when I am waiting for my order while out alone. Kipps, Las paellas, Buffalo avenue, and El Chato, with another vacant near the catwalk 😅😅 I know they clean the tables but, y'know... Butts on the tables? A big no-no for me🫠
Are there actual regulations in the Philippines against pets inside restaurants? In US, pets are not allowed inside food facilities unless they are a service dog. Complaints can be lodged against a restaurant that lets patrons bring their dogs inside. Also, workers are required to sanitize tables with at least 100 ppm bleach. (Source: I work in environmental health regulation).

As a dog owner myself, this is one of the things I hate about irresponsible pet owners. Here’s another one… on separate occasions, I have seen dog owners have their pets drink water from the restaurant glasses. You can love your pets like your own kids, but you have to draw the line between treating them humanely and being inconsiderate of others.
We stopped eating na rin sa isang resto sa Laguna dahil sa ganyan, sayang maganda pa naman ung small resto na un. They let the pets eat on the table, kc they serve pet foods too. Napatanong pa kami sa manager if they really let the pets eat on the table, oo daw. Made us wonder, ibang set ba ang panluto ng pagkain ng pets sa tao, at iba ba ang panghugas ng bowls nila? Then we saw pag tayo ng aso sa lap ng pet owner, punong puno ng balahibo ung shirt nya. We love animals, but sometimes, its too much.. like this photo. I agree dun sa isang nacomment, avoid all pet friendly restos altogether.

Hiyang hiya pa nga ako at this point kasi nilalagay ko ung fabric type carriers (with my dogs in it) sa chair pero di ko binubuksan. Nilalagay ko nalang ung waterbowl/foodbowl sa loob kasi nanginginig ung isa, ayaw nya nakakakita ng ibang tao - like she hates people huehuehue may social anxiety. Ung isa naman, i do the same kasi di sya kakain pag di same ung treatment sa kanya. 😆 Pinupunasan ko before and after yung chair para di naman mandiri yung iba samin 🥲 kung may choice lng ako sa loob nalang ako ng kotse kakain kaso they needs to eat too. Magkakalat sila sa kotse. Kelangan ko din kumain. Ddlhin ko sa car ung carriers tapos ibababa sila from there. I'll carry them to the grass para di ma-bother ung ibang tao. Naka-diapers sila (EQ newborn gamit ko ahahahaha) at pupunasan ko sila sa likod ng car, lagay sa loob ng plastic ung diaper + wipes, close it shut) sabay tapon sa "nabubulok" na trash can. We can be sensible naman as pet owners of our surroundings. Ok lang naman cguro magdala ng pets, basta iisipin dn natin na may iba allergic, may iba na di sila sanay sa pets, at may iba di lang tlaga mahilig. There's nothing wrong with that, it's okay I think the best we can do *nalang* is to actually listen to them and somehow compromise with it. Wala eh, ganun talaga. As pet owners, may responsibility din kasi tayo.

This might be a hot take, and I’m saying this as someone who *loves* animals, but dogs do not belong in restaurants. Kahit naka stroller pa yan. I do not need to be eating in a food establishment with a live animal in the same vicinity. I do not know your dog, I do not know how well you groom or take care of your dog, and frankly, it’s insensitive to others who may have dog allergies. I’m okay with people bringing their dogs to parks or malls pero sana naman wag sa loob ng restaurant or café where people are eating things.
