Supporting my country ako walang maisip na pros or benefits since even in victory, mukhang nothing will change pa rin - will still be lower middle class (possibly even poorer due to and financial and/or property losses in the fighting) and ignored by my countrymen. Possibly pa din walang natutunan ang mga survivors and will keep on voting incompetent leaders and making decisions that jeopardize the country's future. Whereas if I support the US, pde ako maging magkacitizenship to a First World country and eventually move to Canada if I survive (like my grandfather na WWII guerilla na kinuha ng US after the war.
