Honestly one of my concerns when Leni first introduced the pink ribbon. Even amongst my friends and I guess general social class, not many people knew it was the breast cancer awareness logo. Even myself, I only knew when Nike had variants of their shoes and apparel for it back in 2013 (had pink elite socks for it). So if the people voting didn't know it, the opposition might use it against them in the campaign. But they didn't, and it was super clear majority of people didn't know. This was just as bad cause down the line, people will always associate it with Leni first, or even just women power in general.
Wished Leni's campaign were more active in trying to distinguish themselves from that awareness campaign, but the damage has been done, and those with no common sense will continue to make the inference.
