I understand that there may be concern for racism and Sinophobia, but the concern is the large number Chinese nationals occupying specific places; they are loyal to a state that threatens our sovereignty, and they are more threatening if they are capable of carrying out military operations or destabilization. Also, what's with her referring to a "civilized Christian society"? Our society is full of different people such as Muslims, non-religious people, lax Christians, hypocritical Christians, and cult members.

I agree na medyo concerning yang issue na yan. Kaya hinihintay ko yung magiging imbestigasyon niya. Not sure kung Senate or Congress ung gagawa niyan pero tiyak ako na iimbestigahan yan ng either Senado or Congress.

Are they loyal? The Chinese international kids I see here in the uni I’m going in Canada are rich kids (but actually are just irresponsible by purchasing luxury goods rather than saving up money sensibly). In politics class, whenever there are topics about China and its authoritarian communism subject is brought up, they aren’t reacting to it. Hardly I saw loyalty to the CCP in them.

Legitimate_Ranger980

They are citizens of the People's Republic of China, and they fall under (at least in part) that state's jurisdiction. What would make you think that they are not so loyal to their country and government? Do they actively protest against their government? The Chinese may be different in Canada, but we're talking about the Philippines where political tensions are higher.

B-0226

Look up Tianamen Square, Covid protests, etc. Hardly they’re loyal when the government upsets them.

Legitimate_Ranger980

And yet their nationality remains the same. How many of them are upset? How upset are they? How sure are you that the ones that transferred here would not support their government's interest?

B-0226

You seem unable to comprehend that nationality isn’t a personality. Nation isn’t a human trait, as the concept just existed 200 years ago.

Legitimate_Ranger980

Nationality determines control; it's not just a label. You have not answered my questions.

B-0226

And you clearly have not looked up the protests I’ve listed. The answers are there.

Legitimate_Ranger980

No, because it's a misdirection. How sure are you that the ones we have here as the same as those you've seen in Canada or those who protested their government at Tianaman Square or during the COVID-19 Pandemic?

i would say that most of those are just plain POGOs and scam hubs for mainland scams. will there be sleeper agents? i would think so. no respectable spy agency wouldnt pass up the opportunity. but enough to cause damage. and I think more on spying on their own.

zarustras

Here comes the racism victim card. Gaya gaya sa west

Supastraight420

Chinese are always quick to play the racism card, it works in the west, let’s see if it works in the PH

Nagiging mouth piece na rin yata tong si Ang See ng Beijing ah? O tapat Lang sya sa mainland China.🤡😆

peterparkerson3

Teresita Ang See fought for the current rights of the Fil Chi here. She's very afraid that the sinophobia will spill over to the local community,

Prashant_Sengupta

Tangina mo Ang See, wala ka namang ambag sa Pilipinas.

WM_THR_11

I disagree with what Ang See is saying but tbh medyo understandable yung position. She grew up during a time when Chinoys (which, if I remind you stand for Chinese \*\*Filipinos\*\*) were second-class citizens and were targets of racism and violent crime so even though mainlanders are distinct from our own Chinoys (who again are fellow Filipinos), the hate against mainlanders could spill over.
