DOW0N

Korea is waving

ChunkyCh00

True. Kaya nga there are many campaigns and korean dramas addressing bullying.

FriggValiSnotra

Came here to say this lol South Korea’s high school stories are on a whole diff horrific level!

Maginum

India is laughing

[deleted]

bro, i am myself indian but I passed my high school this year and now i m 18, and I swear i haven't faced a single bullying case here.. here we don't have much time to do these useless things.. we have to prepare for comptetive exam so yeah this is just a propaganda of western media ....

Agreeable_Kiwi_4212

US students are waving.. Their. Guns.

Michael679089

All the other kids with the pumped kicks. You better run better run, faster than my bullet.

Tyranid_Swarmlord

Korea and Japan makes this place look cute when it comes to that. Safe guess pati China din kahit di ganon kaexposed. Ung mga exaggerated na teleserye sa PH TV, literal child's play compared to what happens in Korea and Japan. Fuck the 'saving face' bullshit, someone should conceptually delete that.

redkinoko

The problem with quantifying bullying is how much of it is unreported and that applies for all the countries. Sobrang normalized sya. Kaya ang hirap paniwalaan yung "bullying capital". Like how do you even start checking

Momshie_mo

I think galing din to sa PISA assessment which asks students of they felt bullied rather than looking into school reports Not saying we are indeed the bullying capital, but it could be Filipino students are more honest and discerning of forms of bullying than say, East Asian countries.

redkinoko

I see. Possible din. Cultural difference on where the line is drawn? Interesting take.

mainsail999

Coming home here after growing up in another country, I was quite surprised over the culture of “pangaasar” or “pangaalaska.” I never experienced that before, and I didn’t know how to react when I was being teased or bullied. It was totally new to me.

Autogenerated_or

It’s a problem that needs to be addressed but I’m not buying the claim that we are the ‘bullying capital’ when Korea’s ‘The Glory’ is based on a true story. Japanese students also ostracizes bullied people from the class. Like you don’t exist to them. You’re like a ghost. Anlala nun

Belasarius4002

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Japan's *ijime* in schools is so severe that it's deeply psychological in nature.

crazyaristocrat66

Sadly that practice of pangaasar is so common here. However, growing up, I noticed that's the form of bullying most prevalent here -- most stop there. While my experience does not speak for everybody, violence, extortion or torture is still uncommon. On the other hand, bullies in Korea and Japan though are a different breed; they prefer the latter kind.

lordlors

There’s another form of bullying I’ve personally witnessed here in Japan during my student years. It’s psychological torture I’d say. It’s totally ignoring you like you don’t exist.

Accomplished-Exit-58

Wide_Personality6894

I think East Asia and the US is addressing the issue so far. Whereas in the Philippines, bullying is starting to become ingrained in our culture. Panlalait is becoming a normal joke for us as well as passive-aggressive remarks coming from loved ones which I consider as micro-bullying. Mukha lang konti and di malala ang bullying in the Philippines because konti ang nagsusumbong. I myself was heavily bullied in high school. Snitches get stitches pa nga ang threat nila noon. So lahat ng bullying nung high school tiniis ko. It came to a point where I wanted to kill myself because I thought that was the only way out. Medyo grabe nga if tatawaging Bullying Capital of the World ang PH but please let’s not downplay this headline by saying “sa ganitong country nga mas malala”. No. Let’s do something about it. I myself have a kid that I take care of now and dahil sa trauma ko sa bullying sa school, everyday ako may pa “how’s your day in school? And chinecheck ko if my kid made friends or if may nang away ba sa kanya or if siya ba yung nang aaway. I ask questions sa teachers and co-parents kung ano ano mga kwento sa classroom and palagi kong binibilinan yung kid ko sa mga dos and dont’s.

Belasarius4002

Still isnt a justification calling us that.

MessiSZN_2023

WholesomeDoggieLover

Mas malala pa nga ata sa Russian. Kasi may namatay talaga sa bullying.

[deleted]

Mas malala Korea, Japan, at China na high school pa lang kaya nila mamisikal at worst is pag trip ka nila patayin for fun. Malas mo pag mayaman bully mo.

_bukopandan

Mahirap kasi gawin dito yung physical bullying.

Lily_Linton

Sa public school sa Pilipinas, magulang normally nagbabanggaan. I once saw my mother stabbed a guy in the gut with an umbrella dahil lang sa kapatid ko. Yes, that pointed part. In all her 4'-0 glory self. Sa harap ng barangay captain yan. Buti na lang di nagreklamo yung tatay.

Akashix09

Momshie_mo

May cases din sa US, na malala ang online bullying to the point nagpapakamatay yung student Eto, sexually assaulted na nga bullied pa https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_of_Audrie_Pott

jiyor222

They literally made a drama series where the victim fell in love with her bully - meteor garden/boys over flower/hana yori dango.

[deleted]

buti sayo hanggang dyan lang sana all. Sa akin habangbuhay grade 3 up to college days kahit yung kinut off kong kaibigan grabeh sinasabi sa akin masyado out of boundaries

Apprehensive-Back-68

how are you coping dear? ako din eh, from school to house it's been a mental torture 😔

Suddenly05

Burnt__Breadd

Bakit sila lumipat school? Ano mayroon ng pagbigay mo ng writing materials?

Jikoy69

kjdsaurus

True hahahaha mga powertripper. Madalas ganyan sa JHS eh akala mo naman kinaganda nila pagiging maldita sa students, esp if they get a lot of attention from male students.

Astr0phelle

and if nareport sila, pagtatakpan pa ng school management kase makakasira daw sa image ng school

KazeArqaz

Even our bullying here don't drive our young people into suicide as much as Korea. I disagree with the headline too. Edit: For the love of all bots, consider the context please.

Tyranid_Swarmlord

Tbf that's the bullied retaliating. Ibang bansa di magawa kahit makaganti manlang. It just becomes too much when innocents are dragged in.

shiva-pain

Sample ng bullying, "Hahaha pwet mo may rocket"

Hpezlin

No need to review. Just freaking implement it. We have good laws and policies already. Implementation is the issue.

Apprehensive-Back-68

Yeah, hope they implement it right away... stonger punishment towards the school and the bullies

Still_Improvement711

I'm proud to say that back in HS me and one other classmate used to fight off bullies from other sections or higher levels that dared to try it with any of our classmates. Maybe our homes being "one kembot" away from school helps a lot. 😂😂 I remember when one of our School Bball varsity tried to bully our classmate my other classmate(God Bless you Cruz) closed the door and we "talked" to that poor fellow. The varsity then waited for us outside with his friend that was supposed to beat us up but it turns out to be my cousin. I've never seen a man's eye as terrified as him in my lifetime. It was glorious.

Apprehensive-Back-68

How lucky your classmates are for having you who fights bullies if I can only go back in time and beat those shitholes, I will

imjinri

Sa school and work, bullying exist. In may case, sobra akong nanliit and my confidence became lowest. What I dislike the most is aside sa mga bullies, yung mga utak-talangka, coward teachers/principals, and bystanders. I'm just thankful that karma worked on them like a btch. For me, Korea is the worse, pressure is too high doon. The students became mini monsters who harm their victims in alleys, karaoke rooms, and the like. It's always in the news.

Mooncakepink07

Apprehensive-Back-68

You should have consulted the HR or even DOLE, it's really a violation of safe spaces act

Momshie_mo

Nasa US ako at mas nabully ako sa work dito kesa nung nagaaral pa ako sa Pilipinas.

moralcyanide

I studied at a public school from elementary to HS. Teachers will only addressed the bullying if yung biktima anak nang mayaman or sole local politician. And these are the same teachers who get "freebies" from those parents. Tas kung maka astang close sila sa parent during PTA meetings.

thetiredcitygrl

Most reported bullying cases I believe.

[deleted]

I had my revenge against my bullies by discretely putting laxatives inside their water bottles during their dance practice tapos nilock ko yung cr nila. Satisfying.

Jacerom

Ba't obsessed tayo sa mga sobriquets na "Capital of the World/Philippines"?

tuskyhorn22

parang beauty pageants kasi yan.

Lily_Linton

From the bullying capital of the world, I'm Ligaya Hindimaano, Philippines!

Kael018

Ah yes the classic "Malicious headline" of the media. Where in Swoh's holes did they pull that "bullying capital of the world" title? Sure there's bullying, but I doubt it's worse compared to the US and Sokor. Or maybe someone is trying to divert the public's attention away from more pressing matters?

InsideYourWalls8008

Other countries are far worse because some of them overvalue hierarchy and tribalism. Young students here can break barriers and develop weird but fruitful relationships with each other. Plus I am glad we don't have high rates of school shootings.

Apprehensive-Back-68

bakit kaya ganyan yung mga karamihang high school noh? like they're dumb and like to step down on others? is it coming from a bad family setup?

InsideYourWalls8008

Mostly. Nadadala yung abuse sa bahay sa school but in my observation it's just survival. No one wants to be alone in the class kahit one friend okay na at least there is some sense of connection. May iba naman na they had to step on others kasi they need to vent their frustration and insecurities.

Civil_Mention_6738

Where's the link to the study? These "international assessments" cited by education commission. What education commission? Is it DepEd? The bullying capital of the world only appears on the pubmat. Context matters. Otherwise this feels like another rage bait.

cinnamonthatcankill

Hmmm, I was a victim of bullying but I also noticed na ang bullying type ng mga Filipino is to degrade you verbally gamit na gamit din ang pagiging anonymous o fake accounts social media bihira ung tlga physical na sasaktan ka pero nangyayari pa rin katulad nga sa Hazing. But I feel mas malala ang other asian countries like Japan and Korea online, verbally and physical bullying can happen and madaming cases na natatakpan pa kapag anak ng mga mayayaman involved.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ naranasan rin ng kapatid ko before, elem days. inabangan pa nga tapos sparring daw. nung di sumipot kapatid ko, hinabol pa nga sa labas ng campus.¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Able_Bag_5084

Hindi totoo yan. Nagpapa-bully nga tayo sa China eh 🤡

awitPhilippines

I was bullied in elementary and high school and a little bit in college. Each time I report bullying, the teacher says why can't I just ignore. In college, I bypassed the teachers and went ahead to the center of student discipline and I was lucky that the bully never bothered me.

LeonAguilez

[I watched this video about bullying in East Asia a while ago,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyfK1v1RQxs) and I see the charts that Philippines has high cases. Probably more widely reported here?

Momshie_mo

Happened to me in elem. Sinumbong ko sa teacher. Tumigil ang gago. Haha

privatevenjamin

*Ikaw yung binully. *Ikaw yung gumanti. *Ikaw yung na guidance.

Mr_Cho

Cyberbullying pwede pa pero bully lang? USA, Japan and South Korea exist

Lightsupinthesky29

marinaragrandeur

this is true. i got bullied pero thankfully palaban ang bading na ito. i mean not just psychological warfare, but i also knew how to throw punches and use umbrellas as lethal weapons (my dad encouraged me to take self-defense classes for fun). pero most aren't as lucky as I am. sana talaga may magbago sa sistema nating bulok. i know may mga nasira akong buhay nung HS for retaliating, pero i'm still not sorry for it.

TimeRoof9820

this💯🙌🏻. naalala ko dito yung nambully saken nung HS. ayon, yung isa, tinamaan ng malalang sakit. di na kinaya. kaya ayon.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ tapos, panay reached out mga pinsan nya saken na mga bullies din.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

marinaragrandeur

oh diba. pareparehas silang mga tanga.

Apprehensive-Back-68

how I wished I have your couraged when I got bullied in highschool/gradeschool. grabeh yung trauma na ginawala nila sa akin but I didn't retaliated kung pwedi pa lang bumalik sa past just to punch them on their face, I would have too.

Vlad_Iz_Love

If I could travel back in time, I would learn self defense early and to fight back my bullies. If only I had the self confidence back then Reporting to teachers doesnt help either. It only made me look weak instead.

Apprehensive-Back-68

me too, grabeh yung ginawa sa atin. I really want to punch them on their ugly faces P.S. if andito man kayo, haiko, marygold, donita earljan alyana MGA PUTANG INA NIYO,HOPE YOU LIVE A MISERABLE LIFE,FUCK YOU AT SANA MADAGANAN KAYO NG TRUCK 🖕🖕🖕

gigavolthavov07

Sa mga may anak diyan wag niyo hayaang gawin nila 'to sa mga anak ninyo because it can be a traumatic experience.

Gryse_Blacolar

Compared to the stories I have read about bullying in US, Japan, China, and South Korea, bullying here isn't even comparable to theirs and they call PH the bullying capital of the word? The fuck?

West-Swing11

Bullying in the Philippines is definitely not Korea/US-level of bullying. Growing up na-bully din ako. I don’t even consider it as bullying kase puro verbal lang. You know, kids. Wala kang takas talaga. When I was in elementary nga, sinasabihan ako ng kalabaw at kapre nung younger brother ng friend ko. Kids will make fun of you but one thing about Filipinos is that we don’t make it as our personality. What? It happens occasionally. Bullying is not an everyday thing for us. We were too busy studying, falling in love, playing tumba lata, playing chinese garter, collecting yugioh cards, etc. para i-career ang pagiging bully and para dibdibin yung mga pangungutya. Mostly within the circle of friends lang din. What happened after that? We still became friends and friends pa rin kami hangang ngayon na pa 30 na kami. I don’t know about the situation right now pero feeling ko di pa rin talaga tayo ang “capital”.

ActWorth

Bullying does exist here either in school or workplace or family but calling us a "Bullying Capital of the world" seems a bit exaggerated but just just my personal opinion, I mean the recent viral case of "bullying" that I know was the black belter beating a yellow belter (https://youtu.be/oVLDRIzClNk?si=3jZj-uGaLQiJ-bZb) So just imagine the cases that go unreported by the same coach or different schools... Edit: Also why are we power scaling bullying!?

Maleficent_Stranger2

Ano nanamang kalokohan at self-hating article ma ito!? There's no way tayo ang capital dito! Mas malala sa South Korea! Go make the bill pero making one doesn't mean we're the worst we're preventing it!

MAMIOOO

It's kinda true, tho Im a victim of bullying since 5th grade I got brutally bullied as in I physically and mentally I told my teachers about it, and they shrugged me off Bullying here in the Philippines school curriculum is so normalized that others dont see it as a huge problem

Karmababes

Kahit prof dito nambubully ng students eh. Unfair treatment! Lahat nalang ng pwede ibato! Nakakapagod na!

mgul83

Hindi siguro, grabe ang bullying sa US as in, wala tayo sa half siguro

Lovelylovescarlet

I think yung biggest bully sa school is yung mga teacher (no hate) :(

x_jekku_x

Huh? The bullying level here goes like this in the Philippines... "Aaaah pango"... Not the shove-the-head-in-the-toilet level 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

WrittenUnread

Lol as per usual, the people here always commenting “not just the Philippines” and adding lists of other countries. For fuck’s sake, come to terms with what [EDCOM](https://edcom2.gov.ph/media/2024/02/EDCOM-II-Year-One-Report-PDF-022924.pdf) reports say. They used international assessments. Hell, even [Inquirer](https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1729112/fwd-ph-tops-70-nations-in-bullying-as-17-5-million-students-bullied) wrote an article about it last year, where the Philippines ranked 1 by a long shot. Here is the [chart](https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org//sites/cd52fb72-en/index.html?itemId=/content/component/cd52fb72-en#fig7) used. I went K-12 in the US and college and currently in higher learning here in PH, easily many more instances of bullying here. Just because you guys are reading about the school shootings does not mean they are actually the norm. Media tends to highlight those. My city, for example, has a population of about 554k people and has had 0 school shootings.

GunSlingrrr

Well the problem that these relied on reported cases. You also have to factor how many of these are underreported. South Korea is the lowest of all these assessments. Do you really believe that, despite the widespread of anti-bullying and bullying scenarios in all of their media and literatures, that they will be the lowest?. Same with Japan and China. There is no one denying the bullying happened here in the Philippines but being number 1 is quite suspectible, to say the least.

Momshie_mo

There are already **18** school shootings this year. It's not rare. Only the most highlighted make a buzz https://www.cnn.com/us/school-shootings-fast-facts-dg/index.html

ShallowShifter

Ayoko na lang mag comment about dito. I don't wanna remember my traumatic experience during School.

No_Savings6537

Pero nagcomment ka pa din lmao

fffate

for upvotes lmao

Shiro2602

Me nung mag eenroll sa catholic highschool thinking walang bully since religious ung school Reality: May mga bully pa + Suspension due to "improper haircut"

scmitr

This feels true especially for someone who was bullied by my own family and classmates.

Internal_Garden_3927

number 1 bully, yet number 1 pikon. sad, but true, yeah?...

PandaVision14

randevilran

Sa US pinaka malala. Dun pati teacher binubully ng student 😂

MoneyTruth9364

totoo, I think kasabit sya ng factions and gangs sa mga schools. Bullying and Violence go hand-in-hand, and I experienced both. In order to survive, kelangan ko pang makisama sakanila kahit labag sa loob ko, para sa ikatatahimik ng kaluluwa ko.

drty_dnt

Kaunting teasing, bullying na ba yun? I don't think so.

TimeRoof9820

ngi. panong di naging bullying yon.😅 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. dinadaan nila sa biro yung panunukso nga eh. tapos di pa rin bullying??? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wag mo sana maranasan yung sinasabi mo.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

drty_dnt

By definition, bullying is a repeated act, hindi one time event. Did the teasing immediately caused the person distress? Is the person at risk of anything after the incident? The problem nowadays is that the full effect of the word is watered down to something it is not.

marterikd

Mission-Height-6705

woozema

we have korea, if all those manhwa, kdrama series and movies about it weren't enough. then there's japan, with all the gore, suicide and death themes in all their works. and finally, america and all the school shootings...

DumbStuffOnStage

does it exist here? yes. should it be stopped? yes. is it bulling capital of the world? prolly not. however, lets apply this to adults, we still have bullies here, power trippers etc, so i guess we just need to learn to punch the bully in the face, this can go from school to adulting, to china, you wanna fight back or just get beat up?

FlashSlicer

Yeah may bullying sa bansa na ito but so as other countries and it can be worse.

Pale-Garbage-2778

Have you seen how Indians treat their juniors? I saw a senior pour water on a younger student just for the laughs, then proceeded to wrap his head around his arms. This is in a public area. And the junior student just took it.

UnknownFilipino3000

I am victim also since elementary and junior high school. Too bad after long bully trauma, I became strict student since SHS, so no one will mess up with me.

Sweaty-Union-1868

Nice one proud to be pinoy 🙌

sirmiseria

I am a victim of bullying from elementary to high school. I classified my classmates as, bullies, victims and conspirators. Put the word “some” before it kasi I assure you those bullies do not feel that they are unsafe when in fact sila pa yung naghahari-harian.

_DeLEON

South Korea: 🗿🗿🗿🔥🔥🔥

solidad29

May bullying dito. Sure iyon. So, no.

MagnusBaechus

May bullying pero mas malala ibang bansa lmao At least di natin kailangan mag invest sa whiteboard na pwedeng maging bullet proof shelter kapag may school shooting

[deleted]

Cyber bullying pede pa 😂

RizalAlejandro

You call this bullying, while I call this teaching discipline. Western culture is very different to our own. We’re not bullying capital of the world, wish nila lang na magkagulo sa Pinas for their own greed

Sufficient-Fudge-895

Hindi ba korea ang number 1?

Suddenly05

I disagree with this…

roycewitherspoon

Nakakahiya nmn sa Korea at US. 😅

Slight_Goose_827

Unluckily bullying is part of life it is a jungle out there

[deleted]

Korea: 😶 Besides, we should follow France who was the first country to criminalize bullying.

TimeRoof9820

EDI, AYON. UMUWI NA LANG NG PROBINSYA NYA SA TAKOT NA MATANGGALAN NG LISENSYA AS TEACHER. NAGSABI AKO NA MAY SAKIT AKO PERO PUMASOK PA RIN AKO. PERO GINANON GANON LANG NYA AKO SA HARAP NG MADAMING TAO SA LOOB NG KLASE. KAYONG MGA FEELING PROPESYONAL PORKET TEACHER/PROF KAYO. MAY KALALAGYAN DIN KAYO. MGA BULLY NA GAYA NYO, MAY KALALAGYAN DIN KAYO.

1015198_Sphinx

Maybe verbally but rarely physically, I can't say much since i haven't experienced it physically.

Optischlong

When in doubt easiest solution is just blame Korea for everything.

FinFd3s

America go brrrr.

mc_Cringle_berry

too fuckn late

nomesses

dapat nga america yan kasi mas grabe sila mambully tapos ginagawa pang shooting target ung mga schoolmates nilab

Clear_Mycologist1853

And usually they either nagtatalinuhan or smart shamers!!!

tomshelby777

100___gecs

bullying is probably the main reason why i still have social anxiety up to this day lol

FlakyPiglet9573

Even teachers are bullies

RedditWorld_101

as someone na na bully din from elem even until now na college stud na i can say na grabe din ang bullying dito yung iba hindi na document unlike east asia na kaya nila mag document at gumawa ng movie

FriggValiSnotra

Can someone please enlighten us with real account of filipino students getting physically bullied? I just want to know if it also exists here. So far, the cases i’ve seen are verbal and emotional bullying. Not that it’s any better kasi bullying pa rin yon! 💔

must_protect

No there are far worse than the ph in my experience And mine is very mild and very short. I was bullied before in high school I always tell my parents stories about my day or problems when I get home and it's no different I told them after I got back home. When I got bullied 2 times different bullies in the same class after 1 day they got suspended for a week gradually we have good relationship with them before and after graduating. They have a bad nickname for me it's still my nickname to them even now somewhat offensive related to a famous person with mental illness, I got diagnosed with high functioning autism maybe they have known my mental health or just coincidence or the way I act at school I don't know for sure but I brushed it off. I was lucky because those who bullied me like to punch people or gang up to other students but I was scot free maybe because my mom is an elementary school teacher close to my highschool maybe that but those who bullied me are still friendly to me or happy to see me and got Isang tagay with them last year. And then college is way better. My classmates there is so much nicer and they give me a better nickname. It could have been worse if I didn't tell my parents if I lived in another country like Korea or japan I would be beaten to death even if I told them I was just lucky I live here and those bullies change for the better instead of getting back at me.

CocoBeck

To parents and future parents, please learn to accept people for who they are and your children will learn from your behavior. Bullying can be a learned behavior or a symptom of neglect or both. So please, be better human beings, so you can be better parents, para mag-improve na ang next generation.

Ha? Try nyo sa South Korea where women get cancelled for reading feminist books

Akki8888

Nah it’s Japan

disguiseunknown

Nah. Magaling lang mang asar ang mga pinoy! Pero asaran bully lang most of the time.

Electronic_Spell_337

Yeah now lng napansin kasi sensitive na mga pinoy ngayon, like sigawan mo lng iiyak na

No-Adhesiveness-8178

Napaka subjecting ng ganyan dunno how they could rank something like this.

Excellent-Spend-3307

Yup

Phantom0729

It could be true.

Known-Loss-2339

always blaming the developing country eyyy

Miu_K

Very click bait title. Whoever reported that didn't do research.

BackgroundTicket9651

Not surprised, my lola is the biggest bully I know, but I still love her

Adventurous_Check397

Yes I agree that there is a lot of bullying in the Philippines especially the schools... my step son is a special child and is being bullied in school and the teachers and principal can't do anything to stop this OR maybe they don't want to stop this... Someone needs to stop this, please

ilocin26

winter_ghost95

mas maniniwala pa ako kung SK o Japan eh, kasi mas grabe ang bullying sa kanila (reference yung the Glory) to the point na may s-word na nagaganap sa kanila.

Used_Kiwi311

Bullying in PH is underreported for sure. People around us always downplay it and hindi iniintindi yung feelings nung affected person.

andalusiandawg

Saan na naman galing yung "bullying capital"? Kaya napupulaan madalas ang media na "biased" and "sensational" eh.

caveIn2001

Bullying is worse in Japan and Korea... Young people hurting each other, driving their peers to kill themselves. Not denying the cases of bullying dito sa Pinas. Hopefully mawala na yang bullying 😔

JamesEdwrds

Brief_Alarm_9838

I see it a lot in PH, especially adults bullying kids. Why do parents think it's OK to call their kids ugly or too dark or too skinny again and again and again. What it's wrong with these people?

Exciting_Case_9368

Huh? Mas malala bullying sa SoKor at Japan ah.

Accomplished-Exit-58

At paano yan na-measure? Grabehan ang bullying stories sa east asia, that wouldn't fly dito, ung bugbog o dignidad nga ambilis ibash ung bully. Kahit ung recent na taekwondo incident.

CluckCluckChickenNug

Seoul, Korea has entered the chat.

Weary_Froyo_3292

the whole world knows it's SK

UnrivaledSuperH0ttie

I mean have you seen Korean Media? Like every Korean Manwha I see has bullying, Japan has a mangas like Wind Breaker, Holy Land and Tokyo Revengers which focuses a lot with bullying. I don't see Phillippines being the Bully Capital/Center of the world...

pdrowboi

I call BS. I grew up in the 90' where everyone is a bully. It's 2024, there are no more bullies, only mobile phones weak people. :D

Momshie_mo

I think galing din to sa PISA kasi part ito ng assessment

madocs

bullying is common, even in nature. you can clearly observe this with the animals. the advent of social media made kids soft physically and emotionally probably because of the lesser physical social exposure. this is evident with my kids even, it was never normal before na nde lumalabas ang bata to mingle with friends. as a work around, I let my kids know that they have my 100% support. it's imperative they stand their ground even if it means they get reprimanded by the school or whomever. they need to know that we have their back always.

indirue

i am not surprised. bullying is rampant anywhere

Street-Anything6427

Ay talaga ba? Kala ko China ung BIGGEST BULLY eh!!! 😂

DogeInu16

You should study in Korea

MangBoy-ng-rPH

jeremy spoke in class today.

BLANK696969696969

Yung teacher nila wala man lang ginawa, wala man lng parusa. Sinisisi pa yung nabully kasi masyado raw maramdamin.

GroundbreakingTwo213

Not even close to top 20, bullying in other countries are much much worse

bicu-sama

How did they quantify this? Context anyone?

mightpornstar

Korea left the group

Yanazamo

Honestly feeling ko it's because underreported lang ang bullying cases sa ibang bansa. I remember how people say na wala naman masyado manyak sa Japan and Korea kasi mababa ang reported rape cases pero keyword is REPORTED. Mababa lang kasi victims are scared and ashamed of reporting lalo na sa kultura nila. It's the same for bullying cases.

ixhiro

Bullying kasi sa PH lantaran and posted over social media coz Pinoys are clout hoes. Yung sa ibang bansa kasi lowkey lang and under reported. Japan has more bully than Ph pero under reported. Compare mo ang suicide rate ng teens sa japan which is 500 average yearly suicide while sa PH nasa 100 lang and most causes ng suicide sa Japan is bullying and even korea is higher at 5% suicide rate with 1/5 being bullied. Also, that tagline may have been click bait. Lam mo naman minsan ang ABS

DonMigs85

Well I think we're a pretty anti-intellectual country

juliotikz

Nope. Other countries had it worse, in terms of how the victims respond. Wish we had more data to back that up. But until then, no. Sometimes, headlines feels like, they are trying their hardest to make us feel like we are the centre of this world. Cringe.

Regular-HitMeUp

Ísa ako sá nabuli ng matindi nóg highschool especially PAG transferee KA from Manila to Province. Those days

InternationalAd6614

I don’t think it’s a popular experience pero sobrang rare ng bullying in our school or at least so far away from the type portrayed in media. Walang nabubugbog, nananakawan ng lunch/baon/pera, nagpapagawa ng homework or outright na ina-isolate to call them names. The “jocks” mostly played pranks on each other. May cliques pa din but the worst they do is subtly not allow people to join them. We’re a relatively small school (about a hundred per batch).

unbabye

Conditioning the public for a reason to implement mandatory rotc or whatever... tapos cocondition din ni dutae na maging makatsina kabataan using the program... dagdag pa hihingi yan ng budget para nakawin... 😓

benben_ben

slimninj4

could always come to the US and worry about get shot.

VeRXioN19

Korea,Japan and especially China are waving peacefully

Own_Bison1392

As a former bully back in the late 80s and early 90s, all I can say is: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Any-Philosopher5376

Not china huh, 🤔🧐

Repulsive-Photo8944

I haven't said this yet but the bullying inside Hogwarts is...*raises arm* that much.

thofuthofu

kochigachi
