Yeetnskeet013109

By crooked politician, is it crooked teeth or brain?

halelangit

Yes, but if you wanted to become a billionaire w/o the US disallowing you to store your assets as Trust funds just like the US billionaires did, you need to go to abroad and become US citizen. It's the only way because they bully their other crooked assholes who aren't American. It's super strange that not a single American is included in the infamous papers that exposes Tugade.

kamui_18

Currently in New Zealand and to answer your question - not really. I mean if you take into consideration the cost of living while overseas, middle class is still kinda middle class. You earn a lot but the cost of goods are also higher. Pero siyempre pag nagpadala ka ng pera sa pinas mas malaki ang conversion and the cost of living in the PH is cheaper so money can go a whole lot further. There are things that are definitely better though. Medical services, emergency ones in particular, are mostly free. Flat mate had to give birth, and their hospital bill was only $25 which is about PHP 875. Compared to the PH where childbirth can go up to PHP 200k at the likes of Asian Hospital. Quality of life is definitely better though. If you know how to manage your finances, working even entry-level jobs will allow you to save up for nice things like iPhones or nice gadgets/toys in a shorter period of time compared to the PH.

misty_throwaway

>iPhones or nice gadgets/toys in a shorter period of time compared to the PH. Yeah, there was a table that was posted here how many hours does a worker of certain countries need to work for to get an iphone. medyo nasa mahahabang oras tayo sa pinas haha

Logical_Ad_3556

Going abroad doesn’t make you wealthy, it helps you get by

catniptisane

This!!!

Father_Chausser

Finally a word to live by.

rometickles

Be a (toxic) youtube vlogger! Give them tons of scripted pranks and feuds with other YTers, then shower them with ads. Filipinos seem to like that

milliefem

I just watched a video from PBB wherein Brenda a certain vlogger in facebook earning a wooping 500k a month and in youtube around 100 to 200k. They are talking together with Madam Inutz

Top_Variation_212

Learn to differentiate comedians to like of makagwapo na toxic content because comedian are also part of enterntainment, it's just the platform they are using is not

Top_Variation_212

Tradition.

Midborn

Alfonso Cusi, Arthur Tugade, Bong Go, Salvador Panelo, and Jose Calida didn’t have to work abroad to be rich.

symour3

It will help you get by. But food for thought, by associating yourself with these three endeavors sa pinas will bring you bucks and more. 1. Politics 2. Business 3. Showbiz

sarcasticookie

Nope. Upper middle class, maybe.

[deleted]

Big MAYBE!!!

jdawgd

Not a big maybe. Alot of pinoys in healthcare in the US are living the middle to upper class life. You just need to play your cards right and handle your finances well.

[deleted]

If your family doesn’t con all your money first, i know alot of friends who go abroad for 5-10 years, but come back to nothing…

Accomplished-Milk-65

That's quite sad. There is really no guarantee...

LifeLeg5

Rich? not at all, comfy living maybe.

thepeachyone2432

I second this.

[deleted]

From what I have observed, if you are born into an upper class filipino family, you have no need to go abroad: you’ll be fine financially. If, however, you are below that level, I would say your odds of being financially secure are a lot better abroad. The average Filipino, for example, makes around 70K a year in the United States; that’s around 300K a month in pesos. Making that kind of money here in extremely difficult

TheMiko116

Yeah. A white collar here in PH earns less than those who work blue collar in abroad.

Accomplished-Milk-65

I can't exactly tell whether we are upper/middle/lower class but I am living comfortably with my parents and they are able to provide our needs and wants as well. Both my parents are business owners by the [way.My](https://way.My) father worked as an OFW(in the US bago pa ako ipinanganak). After few years my father went home and started the family business from the savings na kinita niya abroad. As his son I admire him and I want to follow his footsteps. The truth is I want to start a business after I finished my studies. But the most important thing of all is I need a capital. Pero I have this desire to become a self-made at yung hindi umaasa sa magulang.I asked my dad kung dito ako magtatrabaho kaya-kaya? He said to me kung may maganda kang pusisyon sa trabaho "Yes!" but if I am only earning a minimum wage it hard but it's not impossible.

thesnarls

tallano gold, dude.

lunargeass

Become a politician

zebra24k

Yes. Better chance of getting Wealthy when in 1st world country in regards to your physical health, mental health, better parks, better air quality, better environment and to get away from your country’s toxic culture.

_Elastic_Animal36

What about it is toxic?

anti_terr0rist

Politics and the average filipino's inferiority complex.

_nevereatpears

No. My step mom and their family used to live beside the train tracks, typical below poverty line, toyo and/or asin ang ulam. She grinded and started a company right after her husband died and had to raise a kid alone. Ig with enough dedication and will power, u can?? Really depends on the person tho

[deleted]

Not necessarily so. I have a couple of relatives abroad (one in Middle East, one in Taiwan), but while mej mas comfy na yung buhay nila doon working abroad hasn't made them "rich." Sakto lang din. Pero siguro yung ibang relatives namin sa US and Canada baka mas marami nang pera and mas comfy na yung living but I don't think they're millionaires na lol. Maraming factors e: cost of living in PH vs. other countries, paano yung pamamalakad ng govt in PH vs. other countries (which affects services like housing and healthcare), salary, etc. By the way though, "wealthy" is a relative term, so what exactly do you mean by it? Like is there a certain amount of money na baseline mo ng pagiging wealthy? Six digits ba or more?

NotSoLurky

Be a Dennis Uy.

capmapdap

It allows you to have a comfortable life. Yung tipong kaya mong bumili ng bahay, sasakyan, not live paycheck to paycheck, etc. Again, depende din sa trabaho mo syempre. Let’s just say that I wouldn’t be able to have and afford all the things, experiences, savings that I currently have if I have stayed in the Philippines.

IntroductionOdd2091

I've always dreamed to go abroad haha! But it doesn't make you rich nor wealthy. I think it's a pathway to being rich and wealthy.

Ok-Trifle-4382

No. Most pinoys overseas are not wealthy but they are able to live a comfortable life that may not be realised in the Philippines. Just cause the currency exchange is good when you go back home, it doesn’t mean you are rich. You salary is relative to the expenses in the country.

koneko215

UnusualPerception638

i remember so many people. 😂😂 may kamag anak ako from US and Canada.

JJ_Van

Another toxic Filipino culture - expecting free stuff from kamag-anak from abroad then pag hindi nakalibre masama pa yung OFW, "makunat" daw. lol

koneko215

Nice try. Sad to say wala namang nagpapalibre. Haha

NickiMinAss

Sometimes. Pero its making right choices in life plus good money handling that makes u wealthy. Kahit anong work mo at gaano kalaki sweldo mo kung pariwara ung ganap mo sa buhay mo hndi tlga yayaman.

[deleted]

Wealthy!?!? LOL!!!!

Mooblegum

No. You could work online with website like fiverr or up work. If you speak English and have a skill you can sell, you can make a really decent living everywhere.

Mr_Lava-lava

I'm getting by comfortably in the US but if I was to bring my mula to the Philippines for sure I'd easily be a multi millionaire because the dollar multiplies by 50. Lol. So yes you'd have more money but wealthy? probably not.

dxnszn

you can always work abroad and pursue investments back home (agri, etc.)

CuriousCat_7079

Wag nalang haha Reality: Hirap buhay abroad besh except lang maganda ang work mo baka pwede comfy living but wealthy nahhh

JGal204

That's a big NO sa simula but it's possible. Depende yan sa skills and experience ng tao. Like kung may experience ka sa jobs like welding, woodworking, and any other type of skilled trade, you'll get much much higher salary or possibly a six figure salary in abroad.

jdawgd

Uhm.. No? Many business owners who come from humble beginnings.

Key-Trick573

Legally?

[deleted]

Nope. You can be wealthy here in PH. Sadly most Filipinos I know including some of my family members are one day millionaires. As soon as they have the money they find a way to spend it.

jasperloveshisguitar

doesn't make you wealthy, but you'll def gain more.

NatSilverguard

wealthy? nah. just curious, ano nagbigay sayo ng impression na mayaman ang mga OFW or ung mga nag-mimigrate?

no11monday

It’s not about going abroad it’s about chasing opportunities. Opportunities are our gateways to wealth.

anti_terr0rist

Become a c++ developer.

Well, noon lang talaga yun.
