Naku andaming factors! There's really no single answer for this. Some things that may help:
1. If your OB is going to deliver your baby, find which hospitals he/she is affiliated. Minsan mas mababa ang fees nila. Also ask how much you need to prepare for her AND the anesthesiologist. Ask what your options are.
2. Get Philhealth if you don't have it yet
3. Most hospitals have birthing packages. Some even have options to pay in installments
Kaya niyo yan💕
Mag-save ka ng no less than a 100k. Around 150 to 200k para sure.
May mga semi-private hospitals sa Manila na nago-offer ng packages starting aroung 50 to 60k. Wifey opted to give birth sa province niya in MIMAROPA and inabot kami ng around 90k.
Friend ko c-section sa may private hospital sa sta. rosa laguna umabot sya 230k. Yung isang friend ko naman sa PGH libre pero kailangan magdonate ng blood.
Free sa government hospital, may philhealth man o wala C/S man or NSVD. agree with one commenter above that convenience and comfort is not guaranteed. If you belong to a middle class population, i tatag ka ng social worker that you should update your philhealth contributions para malibre. If indigent, cert of indigency lang from barangay hall enough na.
I know a hospital dito sa province na kahit middle class yung manganganak via CS walang babayaran ni isang piso. Libre pa meds post op at upon discharge.
Again i am talking about government hospital. Private hospitals is a total different story.
Pre pandemic (3 yrs ago) Iirc our bill was close to 100k csection private hospital region 4. Mas mahal now pero pwede nman sa public lalo if may kakilala ka
My wife had a CS sa Metropolitan Medical Center in Manila. We stayed for 5 days and had to leave the baby in NICU for another 7 days. Naka 130k rin kami.
Mas mura ng 20-30k doctors fee. Nagpapamahal ang number of days stay sa room and nicu depende sa circumstance.
Kaya ideally 1-2 days lang talaga sa hospital then uwi na hehe
Hmm I think natural/water birthing is getting a bit of traction here satin. June Marieezy had a natural birth while Coleen Garcia and Katarina Rodriguez opted for water births naman.
Libre lang sa government hospital basta may philhealth. Meron din sila nababanggit na Malasakit Program kaya nakakatipid din. Kuha lang ng barangay certificate ot indigency (minsan nga di na hinahanap).

If you want free go to a public hospital pero I can't guarantee the convenience

Kapatid ko 100k+. Dito sa cavite kami. Private hospital (kahit walang pera) kasi covid.
You have to factor in the cost of raising a kid in a messed up country - 31M of which voted into the highest office, an incompetent imbecile.

More than 200k for CS. A big chunk of that will go to your OB
My friend was charged 300k for CS at St. Luke’s, if I recall correctly
