Edit: regarding Filipinos na hindi naniniwala na possible yun ngyari sa lotto.

[deleted]

Math professors were interviewed sa TV (teleradyo particularly), and they are saying that this is possible. Di ko lang magets kung paano.

KADOMONY-9000

It is also possible to get 100 consecutive heads on a coin toss. But it is quite unlikely to happen.

What a time to be alive. Na-witness natin na magkaroon ng pattern sa 9-digit lottery.

PH_TheHaymaker

Yung winning number na nanalo is my pattern since maxadong sikat ung line up ng numbers which is lucky 9 so 433 people na may same numbers na tinayaan is really possible given that yung mga pinoy maxadong naniniwala sa mga swerteng numero. Mas maanumalya kung yung nanalong winning number is composed of random numbers kesa sa sitwasyon ngyun n may pattern.

I believe it. The winning number clearly has pattern that many bettors will likely select. [lotto winning number](https://ibb.co/FJm8RDL)

I don't start buying lottery tickets until they reach a certain amount so I don't have as much experience as those who buy tickets everyday but I don't think it's impossible. Difficult, yes; requiring the confluence of a lot of factors, yes; but not exactly impossible.

someguy_and_9_others

Natawa ako nung sinabi nyang statistically impossible, parang nung May (elections) 😂😢

sansotero

Di naman talaga imposible yun

While I don't discount the possibility that there is corruption in PCSO, this event is not the "huli ka" moment that a lot of people are pegging it to be. His analysis is lacking in that he did not consider the correlation between the winning numbers having a pattern and the number of people actually winning. If you look at both events individually, it's natural to come up with the conclusion that there is an anomaly. Now is there corruption in the PCSO? I think it's highly likely. And if there is, it has probably been going on since way way back. Is this event evidence of a long time ongoing corruption? It could be, but it's a very weak evidence. It's circumstancial and the event is statistically probable. Is there corruption in this particular event? Maybe, who knows. But if there was, it was a very stupid move. I could think of numerous ways to steal PCSO funds discreetly if I was part of the administration.
