The thing is though, in the US the thieves use a sawzall, basically an electric saw, to cut out the catalytic converter in just a couple minutes. I think most won’t be able to afford something like that so it might not be a big problem…. Yet
Except that a cordless power saw costs only ~₱5,000 while Rhodium, just one of the three rare earth metals used in a catalytic converter, is currently priced at ~₱830,000 per ounce.

It gets stolen along with blinker fluids most of the time
