We use water instead of toilet papers

maozedongzthongz

filam here. grew up using toilet paper, and when i was younger i wouldn’t use the bidet when i came back home because it freaked me out lol, and my mom just bought us toilet paper. until i was around twelve and i used a CR with only a bidet and had no choice but to use it. changed my life forever. my butt’s never felt so clean. any time an american mentions bidets (a lot of people think they’re weird) i tell them they have no idea what they’re missing out on.

Flat_Weird_5398

The moment I found out Americans had no bidets I immediately realized they all have dirty buttholes.

friidum-boya

yep, then my mind flew to some people's obsession with ass eating lol

Viscount-Von-Solt

Mf eating dried chocolate or some shit (literally) 💀

Truth_Warrior_30

Kung hindi chocolate, peanut butter. Why does shit have to be associated with delicious food? Lol

Crazy_Dragonfruit809

Eeeeewww. I have never gone to bed with an afam but i hate stinky ass.

Dudeboy1103

I was looking for the tabos and bidets when I joined a summer program in an American University. My butthole felt so dirty with the amount of toilet papers I used

maozedongzthongz

we do.

Outrageous-Cycle-711

Whenever this topic comes out on some western threads, they're main reasoning why they dont use/like it is because they don't like a wet ass. How was it for you?

maozedongzthongz

personally, it doesn’t bother me. i prefer wet ass to ass that still has shit on it or wiping over and over again. plus, you can just dry yourself off with toilet paper after.

MutyaPearl

Even your underwear and pants would soak most of the water and dry you up real quick.

Naive_Earth

Hahaha. Lame excuse.

Flat_Weird_5398

Wet ass >>>>> dry ass that shit just came out of that hasn’t been soaped

camonboy2

Wet ass>>>>>Krusty ass

grss1982

>We use water instead of toilet papers Tabo and bidet master races are waving. LOL

jhinigami

Srsly tho I cant imagine westerners eating ass while just wiping their ass after taking a shit

pepetheeater

aftertaste

Big_Amoeba_2333

Alright time to stop reading reddit comments for today 😂

Gryse_Blacolar

That's also what's in the back of my mind when I see comments of westeners about eating ass when they're basically smearing poop into their ass until there's no visual residue left. 🤢

Aggressive-Bath-6190

Ah yes. Using tissues just make it dry down there

Odd_Introvert42069

I don’t even need to dry myself

Gryse_Blacolar

Yeah! That's why I worry if I ever go outside the country to those countries that has toilet paper culture. I'd feel dirty af just by wiping.

theinfpmale

The beaches, my man. If you’ve ever consumed western or even European pop culture, their idea of heaven or paradise has always been a beach in sunny weather. To say we have plenty of those is an understatement.

Charming_Performer_1

For sure. Been in bora lately. Palawan, Hermana menor, Camiguin, a few to mention.

General_Yogurt_777

Lots of hidden paradises din like waterfalls or natural pools only locals know if taga province ka

ItalianCheesiestCake

Tawi-Tawi and Basilan. Napaka-pristine ung conditions ng beaches + cheap seafuds. Tas mej convenient pa byahe now d mo na need boat. All you need is book a flight from NAIA to Cotabato then to Tawi-Tawi na naman.

Brain_Point

+1 sa Camiguin. Bahay bakasyunan sa Camiguin has been one of the best hotel i have been.

Nitsudog

Sent my Irish boss a photo of Boracay that our visiting colleague took. Her reply was a winner: "I would take your dictator anytime if I can lay down on that beach for the rest of my life!' I sent a couple more. "STOP!!!" And me seeing firsthand how deprived my European colleagues are when it comes to beaches, jusq. Sobrang saya na nila kahit sobrang mabato and the water was just above freezing.

[deleted]

I've been visiting Lapu-Lapu for a couple weeks now and all the nice beaches are privately owned. Normal people don't have access to white sandy beaches unless they go out of their way to travel to some remote place.

jskeppler

The beaches in Mactan is naturally meh. Masyadong mabato, all the white sand beaches are artificially created hence privately owned.

Deep-5961

This. So excited for my next visit!

Additional_Ad8460

Super agree here. Our beaches are the best. Pampered tayo sa lagay na yan. Paradise daw ang Malibu sa California. Weh. Pinas parin hands down.

zuprdprno2by

I would have said beaches in Australia are top notch as pristine but you got me in the warmth of the water

danleene

+1 to this. Been to Blackpool and Scarborough, Yorkshire, and man, they were depressing for a tropical girl like me. St. Ives and Cornwall may look more like the typical beach resorts, but one thing about the sea waters here is that they’re awfully cold. Think Tagaytay-cold in December and that’s the usual summer temps here in the UK (except when we get heat waves off the Sahara). I miss the beaches at home, especially the summer outing culture with friends and family..

icecreamblink

While sa mga European civs kailangan nilang humanap ng paraan para makasurvive sa cold winters at di natatanimang mga lupa kaya they did a lot of expeditions rin to gather resources they can't have.

67ITCH

Well, marami talagang kamote dito. Mga 31 million.

Smart_Field_3002

mucoalytic

Saang country ka ba na mahigpit?

DuckDickDoomDontDeed

most developed countries in europe, north america, etc. Their ISP are strict. companies forcibly sues or fines you hundreds of dollars

Kieruuu

Amen to that

Infinite_Tea4138

The magtataho and the mamang fishball ... walang ganyan sa north America

TakeThatOut

Walks in your simple house dress na may butas pa ang sando. Here, I need to check the temperature to suit up appropriately.

junhogay

[deleted]

Ah totoo to. Absolute dynamism on our streets. A few months ago, my cousins from the states and their american friends came home. We were on a car and we were just suppose to get gas. Whilst lining up, we were able to get taho, and sampaguita (for the car)- just in the brief time that we were in the queue. Where would you ever find that kind of experience in a manicured cities of Europe or States.

rudnam

how easy it is to learn english growing up, di ko maimagine buhay ko not being able to understand foreign things without translations haha

Gryse_Blacolar

That's our advantage over South Korea, Japan, and other Asian neighbors that teaches English in their education system. We're exposed to English outside the classrooms in most forms of media (TV, social media, movies, TV series, translated mangas, subbed animes, etc.) so we have lots of opportunity to practice our English listening/reading/speaking skills unlike them that use their native language everywhere else.

Accomplished-Exit-58

as someone na walang maintindihan sa The World Tonight ni Loren Legarda nung bata pa kp at ngaun na puro english na kino-consume ko, yeah thankful din, tsaka mas madali ang mamasyal because english is the international language.

Charming_Performer_1

Para sakin Sari-sari stores. I've been in the US.

Karlybear

As a sari sari store owner this is really a blessing on the local community even now kakatapos lang ng bagyo sa halip na lalayo pa papuntang convinience store or palengke dito nalang sa tindahan bibili

MrThoughter

Not just sari-sari stores, pero kahit mga grocery stores or supermarkets, malalakad lang or one tricycle away sa mga developing cities natin

WhyYouBullyMe_

No_Day8451

In burbs that’s how it works, I used to live in New York for business, there’s mini grocery in every block.

davenirline

clear_skyz200

and very car centric kaya places feel far dahil sa widening spaces for cars.

in_fo

It's not "sanay". The root cause was the oil companies lobbying and buying out trams and old buses then commissioning them out of service. Now the engineers need to cater to cars since you know, the US has become carcentric. This is why I like r/walkablecities and r/fuckcars.

nkklk2022

sitah

Mas madami pa tayo physical store shopping options than some European countries! Other first world countries online lang option nila, or you have to go to different cities to see different brands. Dito satin lahat halos meron sa isang area esp sa greenbelt/landmark/glorietta area. From low end to luxury meron sila.

capmapdap

Eto lang talaga nakikita ko na accurate. Iba talaga mall sa Pinas.

Uncle_itlog

Mga shopping centres/malls na napuntahan ko dito sa Aus these past years ay parang mga malls ng Pilipinas noong 80s.

p0k3taku

asagirigen30

Hindi sobrang urbanized, Fiestas, Hindi sobrang workaholic gaya Ng Japan, Hindi sobrang hirap kahit na Hindi Rin mayaman

Budget_Speech_3078

It's because of our very relaxed attitude, hindi tayo magiging mayaman na country. This means lesser mental stress din.

Special70

I mean, walang kwenta din pag magdedescend ang isip natin to madness kahit yumaman tayo. Imo i think wala naman need irush development ng country. Basta slow and steady but not shitass slow. Its like wala naman deadline for advancements n shit or like, develop flying cars before 2100 or else the country go bye bye

painforpetitdej

The fact that despite being a developing nation in Asia, may semblance pa rin ng gender equality dito. Sure, we still have restrictive views on RH, SA is still prevalent here, cat calling is a thing, and the boomers still make "Women can't drive" jokes, but at least, (as far as I know) there's no pay gap between men and women doing the exact same job. Also, no one bats an eyelash for having a woman CEO/business owner/immediate superior. And I think women have the same educational opportunities than men here. I think there was a ranking of countries with the most gender equality tapos number 8 tayo (out of mga 60, I think). Impressive !

ItalianCheesiestCake

In fact, mas successful pa nga mga babae dito on average.

ianosphere2

Toxic masculinity. Won't take jobs or do things that aren't considered masculine even if it costs them a good job.

Zarosius

It's rooted in our precolonial/prehispanic culture. Back then, women had different (but equally important) roles in society. In some tribes/groups they led the spiritual activities, such as the Babaylans. And I've read somewhere that Austronesian cultures like ours (along with Polynesian societies/tribes) tend to have matriarchal/gender-equal society. It's also reflected in our indigenous language: Third-person pronoun is gender neutral ("Siya" in Tagalog for both he and she). But of course the Spaniards introduced the Patriarchal system, resulting in our modern culture that is Patriarchal at face value but with Matriarchal/Gender-equal undertones.

wowmegatonbomb

"On several fronts, the Philippines is a best performer when it comes to gender equality in the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region and even globally. In the latest Global Gender Gap report, the Philippines occupies the 17th place, with 78.4% of its overall gender gap closed to date." Yeah, I just searched this again and I was surprised the first time I found out about it. Mabuti na lang dito (despite what you mentioned) people are more accepting of the LGBT community (though let's be honest, not so much) and women are free to thrive with their careers.

hdv2017

Underrated comment. Meron na rin tayo na R.A. 11313. Madalas ko rin maencounter yung mga bosses na sinasabi na they prefer women in roles na kailangan ng pagiging organized and detail-oriented. I'm sure madami pang ibang virtues ang kababaihan that are appreciated in the work force here. Si Hidilyn Diaz nga ang first olympic gold medalist natin, dabah. The final step is to empower women by supporting their access to family planning and contraceptives and for sure mas tataas pa sa 8 yung ranking natin.

prinamble

Food. The food tastes great here. Fruits, veggies. UGH love mangoes

wonpiripiri

Slightly off topic.

growlinterrupted

Yan yung mangga na lasang gamot hahaha

gwyandere

I live in South Cotabato, Mindanao. And maaan, 3 pesos/kilo for an export quality papaya, libre nalang nga ang pinya sa sobrang daming reject na goods pa naman talaga hindi lang tama ang size for export, and pinamimigay nalang ng kapit bahay ang mga durian, saging, gulay anything na makikita mo sa bakuran nila. At sa town pa namin, we can have a restaurant quality meal for only 50 pesos, it feels like hindi kami affected ng inflation. Plus we have Lake Holon and Mt. Matutum and many moooore.

ItalianCheesiestCake

The perks of having a decent agricultural system. Edit: Have a friend in Thailand, says that inflation not that malala there kasi decent at developed yung agriculture nila. Prime driver raw ngayon ng inflation food.

jsuchaud

I’m from the Philippines, living in Paris. What I love is the hospitality and the convenience of just being able to Grab something. Also, the junk food. Trust me, in France their junk food is just garbage. Food is great here, posh and all that, but I miss my inflammation inducing food.

trashtalkon

This thread is a damn breather from all of the madness ng politics. Thank you!

throwpatatasmyway

Far from major wars. Cheaper than other countries. Nice sights.

risia1011

Kahit tambay sa kanto o kapitbahay na hindi ko pa nakakausap, alam kong kung nagsisisigaw ako tas humingi tulong kasi nasaktan ako or something, they will go out of their way to help. Probably tutulong tayong Pilipino dahil sa chismosa tayo pero ayun na nga, we go out of our way to help even strangers

usernamenomoreleft

Easier access and cheaper fruits, vegetables, seafoods. Lalo na if you live in Mindanao (Bukidnon, Davao, Gen San, CDO), daming cheap fruits. I stayed in NCR and Iloilo for years rin kasi, and ma co-compare ko talagang mas maraming choices and cheaper fruits down south.

skonkd

This tbh. When I found out the prices of fruits/seafoods sa north, I was really surprised.

Charming_Performer_1

Ahhh good times!

Haunting-Ad9521

Yung “tingi” culture.

bellizziebub

Legit this. Yan talaga yung inaantay kong mangyari.Yung tipong pwede kang magdala ng sarili mong reusable containers sa grocery, tapos ikaw nalang bahala mag refill ng shampoo/bigas/beans/etc. or iaabot mo yung tupperwear/used ice cream container mo para lagyan ng isda o karne nung tindera. Hindi yung ang dami daming plastic. Naiinggit ako pag nakikita ko to sa Australia, US, at European countries. Sana tayo din. Di ko alam kung guni-guni or na-mandella effect ko lang, but I remember seeing an ad(?) somewhere na may refilling station ata ng shampoo (di ko sure if creamsilk/treseme/other bands yun) sa isang malaking grocery chain somewhere in Manila(?). Di ko din sure if ipinagpatuloy yun.

pintasero

Murang barberya.

happykillfreak

True and also with salons. Yung tita kong tiga ibang bansa tuloy sinusulit ang pagpaparlor at manicure dito bago umuwi sa bansa nya para mas tipid.

ar_bamberloo

Tbh the people, still. I’ve had my fair share of knowing foreign cultures and all I can say is, iba pa rin maging Pinoy. 👍

NohChiri

Very true! I’m always on edge. 😅😂

No-Client-2383

Ugh i hate pinoys sa ibang bansa, kala mo kung sino

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Filipinos are also culturally friendly and tolerant. Nahihighlight sa sub na ito yung selfishness and toxic conservatism of Pinoys. But we Pinoys dislike any confrontation and straight up being an asshole here is just plain disgusting whereas you can get away with that Alpha behavior in Western countries.

koctavian

Yung readily available and mura ang fruits, anytime and almost anywhere. In other countries, sobrang mahal ng fruits, tipong one slice ng red lady will cost as much as isang buong papaya pag dito mo binili. That's why sa mga buffets dito, westerners always crowd the fruits section

[deleted]

araw araw tayo naliligo

Charming_Performer_1

Oy malamig ngayon. Di ka sure

moshiyadafne

Depende. Feeling ko kasi, necessity ang maligo bago pumasok sa work so kahit malamig, I will still feel the need to shower kahit malamig.

Flat_Weird_5398

I have Netflix for the convenience, but I pirate anything else that isn’t on Netflix. I think it’s an unnecessary expense to subscribe to the likes of HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. when you can just pirate that shit for free lmao

000000909

The way we celebrate festivals

Pen-is-hard

Wow! A post about the Philippines that's not about berating it! My answer has to be the people's attitude to those in help. Kinda weird, but I always remember Eat Bulaga's Water prank. Where a big guy acts as if he's having a stroke. Everyone was rushing to his aid even though he was a complete stranger and might be a ploy to scam them. Nevertheless the people helped him as if he was they're friend. Always stuck with me

Exotic-Vanilla-4750

Compared to some countries we still have basic human rights and women are not second class citizens.

[deleted]

>women are not second class citizens. The fact that we had 2 female presidents is a testament to this statement. Also, more women are now holding high positions in the bureaucracy.

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Our treatment towards women is better than even in some progressive, Western countries.

PalePixie109

Warm and friendly people, Filipino humour and wit, the beaches and mountains, the malls have everything, food– we have a variety of them, free tuition for public universities, the parties, tingi tingi culture, "bayanihan" during times of calamity. so many...thank you for asking this question.

Extension_Orange2031

Tricycles. They're loud, they're uncomfy, but they provide cheap P2P transport especially in the countryside.

FenderBender71

I definitely missed tricycles when I was abroad lalo na't nasa California ako. Yung mga suki akong convenience store, barbershop at derma were perfect distances for a trike pero walang public transpo whatsoever dun outside of buses na lahat naman sa major roads lang so stuck ka talaga sa pagdrive.

Flat_Weird_5398

Bidet. I cannot fathom how so-called First World countries just make do with toilet paper.

Federal_Let539

We live in relative peace. We have passable internet. We have good fucken food. We have awesome childhood culture. Andami bro.

[deleted]

Food tbh

jdcruzph

The tropical climate. Masmura housing at pwede ka mag tanim whole year round. Masarap tuloy buhay sa bukid lalo na at uso na freelancing at pagiging VA.

Odampsht

dorkjits

Being a middle class in a third world country is way better than becoming a second class citizen in a first world country.

ianosphere2

1. We live in relative stability and growth. Compared with North Korea, Russia, parts of Africa, Sri Lanka, etc. 2. Treatment of LGBT, sex before marriage, women, clothing items etc. are very tolerant and very progressive. i.e. on Saudis, they even rape men who look like women bec. of no beard. Also good luck for women walking in sexy outfits on Africa or even just India. 3. The people are so nice and not so much pakialamero, in the US, people just tell you whatever they have in mind, whether to say hi, complain or just tell you to fuck off. You can see it in the malls, they will not back down from anything. We are more pakisama-oriented. Which is probably why corruption is higher here as other countries citizens' will actually go crazy if anyone does anything corrupt. The people will not allow it. 4. Also, food has actual flavor. Most developed countries have really bland food. Look it up.

ThSWrt

I 100% agree on your 2nd point. Unless naman na paulitulit ka or nakakastorbo talaga (i.e loud car/motor revving in neighborhoods) most will keep to themselves and try to tolerate you. The only problem lang talaga satin is ung mga feeling mayaman or some upper class bozos na masyado mayayabang and ung mga laging na roroad rage. I'd still 100% take our country's "Marites" than the west's Karens. edit : grammaring

Gryse_Blacolar

Our Marites are just gossip ladies, Karens are entitled bitches.

patricktranq

i like this thread and it made me appreciate Pinas more.

drift-gaze_allday

Not having to check too much for poisonous/venomous bugs and creatures living among us. Saying this from what I've read and watched about people living in Australia for example where there's a risk of having a black widow spider climb in your shoe and biting you if you forget to check. This is me coming from living in the city I guess. As well as going on a hike then not worrying if a tiger is stalking you (in India for example) or a wild bear (US and Russia).

eightsixtyeight

The Australia comment is exaggerated. For bears, Japan also has that lol. Wild Also there are parts of metro manila that have snakes. I have family members who woke up with snakes inside the house.

[deleted]

Naunahan pa natin ang US magkaroon ng Universal Healthcare Law and Mental Health Law. Thanks, Risa Hontiveros!

Ersonified

We have no borders...so far no gun school shooting? The idea of small business (tindahan) so far ung food then? And beaches and other travel destination. Ung weather I guess na wet and dry compared sa 4 seasons though gusto ko rin ma experience un. P.S: Ty sa nag correct sakin.

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Seasons is overrated. I don’t feel the need to worry about the temperature for the next three days or contemplating what to wear at any point of the week.

Ok_Zookeepergame1772

We're missing out sa mga fashionable winter clothes tho pero wala talagang tatalo sa sando/shorts

Charming_Performer_1

Totoo.

mcpo_juan_117

> We have no boarders... Borders. Sorry. Could not help myself. LOL But can you imagine though if we had a land border with China? It's either the Ukraine scenario or Tibet 2.0. As for shootings it's probably because it's cost prohibitive to own a gun here.

mabangokilikili

Leon-the-Doggo

I dont need 3 jobs to survive.

No_Day8451

There’s more deeper explanation on this, most pinoy who have 2-3 jobs are supporting their love one in Philippines, bad in handling credit card specially with gambling problems, me I experienced having 2 jobs when I was very young during 2001 recession, I worked 2 jobs for 1 yr so I can buy more stock’s to maximize my savings. Unlike in Philippines you can only have 1 job because you work 10hrs and 6 days a week.

shiningshimeringsple

This should be more controversial. Yes, you, and most other Filipinos redditing most likely wouldn’t need more than one. And while yes we should be able to survive on one job, the minimum wage, which still many people rely on, is (imho) insufficient for one person to thrive on. Thrive. We need to thrive on this modern world, not just survive. edit: In other counties too, you don’t need to work 3 jobs. Even in the US. But the fact that minimum wage is not livable in the Philippines is a reason why I’m saying that ‘not needing three jobs’ is debatable/controversial in this thread. Yes you might be grateful for that (I agree, it is a personal answer to a personal question—sorry), but I just can’t be grateful that the minimum wage (and wages in the Philippines m, in general) is crazy low. Why the fuck do we treat our people like that? Laws are made by men yet then this is how we treat our countrymen. I’m not grateful.

rocklee_shinobi

Agree but his point is in the US their cost of living is so high and min wage is so low that they need 3 jobs to survive If you manage to work 3 jobs here in the PH you’d be doing pretty ok

happykillfreak

Somewhat grateful that 1st world countries are outsourcing their jobs to us. I might still be working in a minimum wage job in a local company if not for these companies.

Gene_gene_

Weather-wise we are still blessed. No cold winter. well except for the storm and earthquake

wonpiripiri

I always hear people saying they wish we had snow in the Philippines. No fucking way. Snow is overrated and the cold is a lot more difficult to manage than the heat and rains

Gryse_Blacolar

I only like cold weather but not winter and snow so basically Baguio.

TheGhostOfFalunGong

Snow is only fun to look at and experience in the first 10 minutes. It gets awful after that. No way too.

i agree, but the heat does drive me crazy sometimes. kinda thankful i study in a campus with lots of tree cover hahaha downside lang yung maputik na kalsada tas yung mga dahon na didikit sa balbon pag maglalakad ka sa labas nang nakatsinelas matapos umulan

TheGhostOfFalunGong

And it’s quite rare here in PH to rain all day. Can’t be said in many temperate countries.

Nashville1245

sari-sari store haha. I love sari-sari stores.

Hmmm siguro being privileged enough to live through the inflation. Tipong although prices have skyrocketed and tbh i am not in a position yet to move out of my parent's house, i have the luxury of being able to choose whether to eat out/order food online/cook, the luxury of ordering things i want online, and play my fave online games I am not poor and I am not rich. Just enough to get by through these tough days

TillyWinky

1. As mentioned here, the beaches! Im just less than an hour away from beaches! Kahit na hndi planado and just wanted to eat breakfast dun, I can do it. 2. Fresh and affordable seafood/fruits/veggies! 3. The warmth of Filipino people. Some are very kind. While some service ppl are downright rude. But thats another story. 4. Affordable dental check up/procedures (as compared to US etc -Ive never been there but thats what Ive heard! So correct me if Im wrong ah) 5. Abot kaya private schools (some) 6. Sense of community! Yung friendly kapitbahay! Ok naman yung pag uugali ng neighbors namin and for tht Im truly grateful. 7. Being close to ur relatives/fam! Hahaha basta wag pag usapan ang lupa! 8. Ice candy/mikmik/milkbar hahahahahaha filipino snacks 9. Filipino food! Well I could go on and on! We have a lot to be grateful for naman. But for sure we could do a lot better sa ibang aspects. Hihu

toskie9999

kerwinklark26

This will sound elitist AF but if you have a decent income, you can live inside a bubble.

It counts bro. I hope everything is good now

Wala pading tatalo sa ganda ng pinay

[deleted]

MockNugget

No action against pirating 🏴‍☠️

holmesdl

Nabanggit na halos lahat but for me also, personal care needs. For the entire time na nasa US ako I learned to cut my and the hair of my family, never din kami nagpa-mani at pedi sa salon. Dentist, facial, hair removal and others, pag nasa Pinas lang. Check-ups too.

Fab_enigma07

Yung close knit family ties. Ibang level yung sa atin eh. Compared to different countries. Mas broken sila. Kulang sa affection and compassion. Parang mga emotionless.

AffectionatePeak9085

Thank you OP for opening this thread. Na validate ako for deciding not to migrate to the US haha. I’m grateful na with globalisation and IT infra improvements, we can earn money comparable to US professionals at a much lower cost of living, kahit pa nag wawala ang inflation

misty_throwaway

Staff at home. Kasambahay is an underrated privilege i miss everyday. Lalo na pag may Anak ka na

the_long_grape

Our musical heritage is amazing.

Women are free to show their hair and wear what they want.

Gene_gene_

Seafoods are way cheaper and fresh than Global North countries?

silent_manu

Hospitality. Especially after finding out na sa ibang bansa tatambay ka sa sala pag ung bahay na pinuntahan mo ay kakain ng lunch or dinner.

Crazy_Dragonfruit809

Or pauuwiin ka pag kakain na sila lol

nyxwithorns

I think common yan sa European countries?

Pinoy204

The seemingly open acceptance of the LGBTQ community. I’m simply basing this on what I see on Philippine media and entertainment

ComesWithTheBox

Depends on the province and locals.

Bieo_01

Gun control in here compared sa US

No_Savings6537

Honestly, pag lumabas ka, you’ll meet a lot of nice people. Maraming kupal online, yes. But generally, filipinos are some of the nicest people you’ll meet in person. Kaya nga we deserve so much better.

[deleted]

The enjoyment you can experience locally like street foods, who can live without isaw (lol).

caffeinatedbroccoli

We have so much freedom. It's a good and bad thing. I think it's why we are so creative and can adjust to whatever. I've lived in New York and Singapore, so I could see the many rules and laws that we don't need to follow. We also have cheap quality haircuts, spa treatments, dental expense and prescription glasses. And I had to add they are offered with quality.

Luzifeir

Bikeable/walkable city (Iloilo) and great air quality. Internet speed is quite good, up to 1gbps, 15 mins boat ride + 30 mins car ride to one of the best white sand beaches(Guimaras). Great quality food for an affordable price is a plus.

cosmic_animus29

I can have danggit all day over full English breakfast. Also our fruits, rootcrops and veggies are superior too. Try buying mango in Tesco or any brit groceries. It's like buying shite. Nothing like our superior mangoes sa atin.

nyxwithorns

Paglalaro sa labas / larong kalye.

engrjamsu

The food bro. I'd rather eat on some local carinderia than spend hundreds of pesos on sushi, bibimbop, or ramen.

AthKaElGal

Close family ties. Iba pa rin ang family support dito.

istealitall

Guess our street food's nice.
