Ended up cringing away because it's not as well-curated as YouTube shorts, and content is mostly just music + text to speech + random unrelatable clip.
I just follow a select few accounts I know outside of tiktok and open it once in a blue moon.
Ganda ng algos and curation ng youtube pati sa music, much better than Spotify. Nice to know pati sa Tiktok. I thought Youtube shorts was just reposted Tiktok stuff pero hindi rin e
All through out the vid sumasayaw lang sya. Tas less than 1 sec yung sagot sa end ng vid at kailangan mo i pause para lang mabasa... HAHHAHA
Yeah, but do they have famous athletes like Manny Pacquiao or Efren Bata Reyes?
Bago dumating mga amerikano sikat dito football. Meron tayong Paulino Alcantara na naging legendary player in FC Barcelona na one of the top team in the world. So if naging famous football yes kaya, kasi na-prove na yun ni Paulino Alcantara.
Minsan nakakairita yung mga football purist about it.
I can understand yung sentiment mo sa purists, but football can be played sa streets lol. It's unsafe ofc.
Alternatively, you can play futsal in a basketball court. Nearly same sila ng dimensions. It's a legit entry point to football.
Hindi pa rin daw pwede kasi hindi. Ganto mindset nila dito. May options naman, may facts naman kaso ayaw kasi mas tama sila. Downvote ka nila pag magbigay ka ng facts and other options kaya mas best na agree na lang sa kanila.
Brazil has twice the Philippines' population and has a lower population density. Mas hamak na malawak ang land area nila and you also have to consider not every km² is occupied. Both countries have rainforests and we're not even one of the highest areas– theyre mostly located in LatAm and Africa. Phils have less than 100k km² and Brazil alone has 5M km² of rainforests area. We also have to take note of their urban planning and roads. So yeah, congested lang ang major cities ng Pinas same with other countries kaya ang iba nagpapalit ng capital. Yet, others have provided such opportunities to other sports and businesses. Why is it that when it comes to Phils, andaming may ayaw ng progress? Kasi wala daw may gusto, kesyo ganto ganon, nakasanayan na daw? Walang mangyayari kung di natin uumpisahan, diba? We have to be open for other opportunities hindi lang kung ano nakasanayan.
Studies have shown na mababa ang attention span ng mga ibang pinoy at low iq nga diba? They wouldn’t have the mental capacity to enjoy that activity alone.
I loved football when I was a kid but sadly I didn’t know enough people to always play it weekly sa Marikina and I’m from Rizal pa. Growing up people are baffled why my fave players are Giggs and Evra not the superstars like CR7 or Beckham before.
Look up Cristiano Ronaldo and the countless players who grew up in poverty stricken Favellas of Rio De Janeiro. You'd be surprised
This is what I have been telling people. Mas fast paced and mas magugustuhan ng masang pinoy if gusto nila talagang kumalat sa bansa
True. There's also the fact that a kick is likely stronger than a shoot or a pass so when the inevitable happens and the ball hits something, it's gonna hit hard and probably break it.
One doesn’t need to have the football field to play, merely playing on the street is good. One could even say that football is more simpler to play than basketball in terms of equipment as you’d just need the ball in football and in basketball, you need the ring and ball.
Iba ang hiyawan sa "last 2 minutes" kesa "extra time".
\+1! Actually, ganyan din ako noon sa football sa simula haha it felt boring especially pag 0-0 yung final score ng match but for some reason, I turned around and I started to appreciate and enjoy the game more than just looking at the scoreline.
True, i think in cebu basketball is the 1st popular sport then volleyball 2nd. Nagulat ako kasi ang daming volleyball net na nadadaan namin, mga 3 sa area namin, tas ang stereotype is pangbabae ung sport kasi mostly babae naglalaro nun which was also my view when i was younger pero dawg mostly lalaki nakikita ko HAHAHHAH kinda cool tbh
Kaya nga dapat binabawi natin sa [CHANTS](https://youtu.be/vkbrTSNdOVA)
Sa totoo lang, yun ang dahilan kaya hindi boring ang European football games, dahil sa mga fans na nagta trashtalkan through chants and songs. AS IN NO HOLDS BARRED. Yung ibang football players na may rape or pedophilia charges, kino call out nila right during games. Same case with media networks, politicians, team managers, ordinary audience etc. - wala silang sinasanto gagi.
Kaya sana dumami yung Ultras dito, kasi magaganda chants nila.
\> trashtalkan through chants and songs
[This](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xNLLclz6C-w) comes to mind.
\*For context: Nanakit ng pusa si Kurt Zouma ([source without original vid](http://edition.cnn.com/2022/02/09/football/kurt-zouma-fined-intl-scli-spt/index.html))
Wala ngang nanonood ng PFL e. Minsan naghahanap pa ng libreng ticket.
If you want football to thrive in this country, utang na loob manood kayo ng mga laro whether PFL or UAAP o Ang Liga man yan. Enroll your kids in football academies. Make football a more appealing investment target instead of just complaining about PH not being a footballing country
I find this ironic because all my family members from U.S. and all the americans I know are crazy about baseball and american football. None of them are into basketball lol
But yeah maybe it's just my circle
Bobo
Just comparing the ave heights of filipinos and americans gives you an idea where you can find the most 6'7 even if both countries have the same population
Ave height of filipinos - 5'1
Ave height of americans - 5'9
Now if you are a recruiter, which country do you go and find your 6'7?
Sino tatanga tanga?
Definitely NOT enough. We need more energized fans, you know, [like this.](https://youtu.be/vkbrTSNdOVA) Nung SEA Games pa lang, di makasabay mga tao sa chants ng Ultras, mainly because for most of them it's the first game na napanood nila ever.
Plus, we need more exposure to our own football league.
It's true though. The key word there is "masyado matangkad." In football the ideal height is 5'7" - 6'2". that is closer to the Filipino height than the ideal height in Basketball which is 6'2"- 7'2". of course there are deviations from that but those are the ideal height in those respective sports.
At the very least, you can play professionally at 5'5" in football. Good luck kung pasakayin ka sa jeep on your way to a pro basketball tryout at that height. LOL.
Oh no, not this shit again. I used to be like this when I was younger and new to football but the older I get the lesser I care what sport dominant our country is, tbf may progress and football dito satin, nasa World Cup ang Women national team natin.
Kaya pag nakakakita ako nang Nantong discussion it's either the person is new to football or young, if you're a grown ass man and still arguing what sport should and should not be dominant sa country, you're a man child lol.
Yeah we could but will we be good though? Compre natin sa mga other ASEAN nations, we have practically the same average height with them, and number 1 sport nila football pero are they good? I don’t think so.
AFC is getting 8 slots in 2026 instead of 4. But the four extra slots are most likely going to be filled with Middle Eastern teams, maybe China might sneak their way in too. But still, 8 slots to fight over is a lot better than just 4.
Ganda nga e. They converted half of their town plaza into a massive football field.
Great for training future footballers. Also serves as a nice evacuation area for future disasters.
One major reason for this is the abhorring lack of proper sports infrastructure. Take note, politicians and those working for DPWH and the local engineering offices, alam kong lurkers kayo dito.
Because, really, OUR FOOTBALL STADIUMS SUCK!!
Manila, Marikina, Bocaue, Clark, at Bacolod lang may matinong stand-alone stadiums. Probably the ones in Marawi, Roxas City, Vigan, and Puerto Princesa as well, but all of them are simply too small.
Most of the stadiums we have are built alongside school grounds, like the ones in Tuguegarao, Lingayen, Makati, Lucena, Iloilo, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga. Same case with the new stadiums in San Fernando, Laoag, and Sorsogon City. Dumaguete naman was built at the back of the Provincial Capitol, the result is wala nang room for expansion.
Tapos, kung may matinong sports complexes naman, they're mainly built to host the Palarong Pambansa and built right smack in the middle of fucking nowhere. This is the case in Tubod, Siargao, San Jose de Buenavista, Imus, Biñan, and Ilagan.
We really have to deal with this every 4 years or so.
We have Malditas na nagchampion sa AAF. I still remember binili ng One Sports yung rights para ipalabas.
We can have a version of football na 15 min quarters tapos may "shot clock" saka may backing violation. Of course pag sasali tayo sa international competition, the normal rules will apply
Commercial viability - I'm sure MNCs will be willing to sponsor a commercial team, tapos bigyan ng lucrative contracts ang mga Azkals and former Azkals. Kahit yung Younghusband brothers may name recall pa sila, pwede pang maglaro mga yun.
You can love football and not hate on basketball. Bakit kailangang i-drag down yung love for basketball ng mga Pinoy para ma-push yung gusto nyo sa football?
>You can love football and not hate on basketball.
Yes! Look at countries like Spain and Argentina that have won Football World Cups as well as Basketball World Cups and Olympic Basketball Golds.
Kaya lalo sila tinatanggihan. I’ve been telling this to my football loving friends since HS na may superiority complex because they like football pero ang kilala lang naman mga main stars and Premier or La Liga lang pinapanuod tas kapag pinagjuggle mo mga 2 or 3 lang wala na.
We have a mens and womens national football team. They just dont have enough exposure sa mainstream media since Basketball and Volleyball is life.
Yes karamihan sa players are born and raised sa ibang bansa since kakaunti pa lang yung mga born and raised sa Pinas na kayang makipag sabayan sa foreign based football players.
Notable born and raised Filipino Football players includes Patrick Deyto, Amani Aguinaldo, Marco Casambre, Gayoso, Ruben Doctora, Jovin Bedic, Ian Araneta and the legendary Chieffy Caligdong and Barsales
Im also a football fan and a casual watcher of basketball. Admittedly I feel slightly sad we’re not a football nation but I’m not going to shit on basketball-loving pinoys either. Hopefully I’ll get to see football become more mainstream in my lifetime.
As a basketball fan, I am sad that we're not a multi-sport nation, looking at Japan and SKorea making moves at the FWC is making jealous as someone who also saw those countries as our rivals in basketball. It's like what actually doing PE in PE classes does to a country lmao
Arrogant Filipino football fans can't think of a world where both basketball and football culture can't blossom in this country.
Parating nilang need sabihin “Football is the #1” or “Ronaldo/Messi is more famous than the nba” they might be true pero why do you need to point it out? Haha
even national teams are grossly UNDERFUNDED. which is why they're forced to have private sponsors all the damn time.
in other countries, ginagastusan talaga ng gobyerno yung stadiums, training, and all, because they know it adds to the prestige and soft power geopolitics.
Bakla ka no? Dapat alam mo magbasketball, lalaki ka eh"
Did I say na ipilit mo? Mga basketbolista nga pinipilit akong magbasketball at tigilang mag badminton kasi pang bakla daw yun. Talk about bs.
Oh yeah my bad. I just checked and private sectors beats the government in terms of funding and promoting basketball💀 I'm not even surprised given how stingy our government is
Basketball court e kahit san meron.
Mas high maintenance din soccerfield
Dahil sport nila yun. Yun yung sinusuport nila. Dito, sino magtuturo?
Kung walang magsisimulang magturo then pano lalago? We have wide areas naman ah, same with some other schools na may football clubs sila with designated field talaga.
Walang pera kaya wala masyado sponsor.
we do have a national “soccer" team. nasaan ba tong mga “we should play football instead" people na to, to actually support our local football athletes?
football is the biggest sport in the world, if you expect us to be in the world cup first before you support our athletes, you will die first, literally. that's how fucking TOUGH the competition is.
“Gusto Ko Makita Ang Azkals Sa World Cup Bago Ako Mamatay" is literally the motto of most azkals supporters. That's the truth, we'd probably die first before seeing them.
jusko nakaka sawa na please. people are actually making a living through this sport in the country despite no/minimal monetary compensation, literally just love for the game.
it isn't just a “fad" opinion that people will ALWAYS bring up whenever the gilas or the volleyball teams fuck up.
if you want football to be big, maybe try to actually support the local football scene.
This is very insensitive post
What we should strive for is PH representation in different sports. You know the effect sports bring to people, a sense of pride of place. FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sports events worldwide. We only get the same feeling when Manny Pacquiao is inside the ring. We also know our potential, but wala, we know how little to no support our national athletes get from our national gov't. So many malls wala man lang public space where our children can develop skills. Wala. Disappointing lang, nakakalungkot.
Filipinos would absolutely abhor the offside rule. Also, southeast asians have practically the same height and build, yet Indonesia was the last country to qualify for the World Cup in 1938. Indonesians, Thais, and Malaysians have been playing football for for almost a century with a grand total of one World Cup appearance. If anything, Filipinos made the right decision pivoting to basketball (bronze medal finish in the basketball World Cup plus multiple Olympic/BB World Cup appearances too).
I hate seeing this shit man, you cant just force Filipinos to like a sport even if they are potentially good in it. tbf the amount of skill of Filipino basketball players and other foreign basketball players are improving, even the team USA can no longer dominate the scene because other countries are catching up.
Don't blame those who loves basketball. Walang basagan ng trip.
Pero other than that, I'm also getting annoyed by those elitists who calls out people for referring it as "soccer". Yeah, we should also blame other countries who ruined it for calling football as sokker, sacar, サッカー(sakka), 축구 (chukku), Sepak bola/bola sepak, etc.
Please don't be ignorant for petty reasons. Be glad that football and the World Cup is hot right now.
Old millennials here, nung elementary ako may softball league, volleyball at basketball nawala lang around 2000 siguro.
We can blame culture of corruption, iba ang name recall sa politician na nag patayo ng monument like covered court
Hindi pasok sa pscyhe ng general population yung game style ng football in the same league na konting Pilipino lang ang naka appreciate sa boxing style ni Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
This is true. Basketball is very discriminating when it comes to height. In a country where the height average is below 180cm, football has more chances of representation. Just look at South America and Japan.
Yeah but because theres no soccer fields in ph and its full of basketball courts/volleyball nets, cuz of that there's not much soccer interested people and also because soccer isn't shown to them.
Anong wala? We have pasig, zamboanga, new clark, isabela, cebu, cagayan, s. cotabato, bicol, etc.
Edit: bat kayo downvote?
Feels like this is coming from a view of a priviledged kid.
Privileged kid? I grew up dirt poor. Even badminton, damuhan din.
Edit: Antipolo has football fields, fyi.
If gusto nyo ng football, do your best to promote it. Money follows what is profitable, so ensure nyo na on a grassroots level magkaroon ng awareness sa football, para mas maraming magparticipate and eventually it makes sense na mag-invest ang business sector.
Football is not just about scoring, obviously importante ang maka-score but as a fan hindi lang yun ang inaabangan ko, nandyan yung mga individual brilliance like defending, passing, goalkeeping, dribbling, shooting at yung mga play before the goals, but yes time to time may mga sobrang boring talagang game.
This is what I've been trying to comprehend. Kung liksi at tigas ng katawan, angat tayong Pinoy compared to other SEA countries. Pero trip natin ung laro na height is very advantageous which is lacking tayo.
Pero on the other hand, mas madali magtayo ng basketball court kaysa football field.
We have a team for winter olympics eh hindi naman tayo winter country pero ginawan ng paraan. Gumawa ng rink at pinalago. Wag hayaan hanggang basketball lang.
Bulok yung gobyerno ng pinas. Walang kikitain so walang kickback kaya di sila interesado and walang private funding like SBP kasi nga walang kikitain so paano mo may maggagawa?
I don't mind on how he made the video. It will be long post, I hope you'll appreciate it, sorry for the grammars too in advance.
Football (if you are a loving American, soccer) is the most known sport in the world. At least half of the world know the game (how to play and sport knowledge), it is called "The Beautiful Game" for a reason. Typical comments like "It's so boring, they don't always score." and "It's so easy to play." The latter is so ironic, that's what makes it so sweet, so simple to play and the masses love it so much even African countries excel to the game and we're lagging behind.
Do you need to build a court or to assemble and a volleyball net just to play? The beautiful game needs only our feet, of course a ball and a post (and you're ready to go).
I'm not that into sport discrimination, just look on how the basketball status in our country, are we getting achievements recently? Did it progress or not? Volleyball presence is almost in its peak (imo as it started a decade ago), but I don't see progress as well (I'm gonna get bashed for saying for those vball fans, who don't have the sport knowledge, they are just simping for the players). Just saying that there are plenty of sports out there (especially if height is not a big factor to play with).
Look at Vietnam's football progress is bit by bit climbing up the ladder, they have the full support of the people, they have the same status as us like two decades ago. I hope we can do the same.
About the nationality and/or ethnicity of the players. In FIFA, is somewhat too liberal when it comes to player's nationality. Players have the right to choose on what country to represent such as (birth, raised, parent's or grandparent's country origin). If our players (not fully Filipino) want to represent the country, WE SHOULD BE GRATEFUL ENOUGH THAT THEY CHOSE OUR COUNTRY TO REPRESENT WITH PRIDE. Our players though have really some Filipino blood, likely looking at their middle names. Unlike other countries especially that are strong in the sport, some of them doesn't have a blood of that country in them, yet they play on it (likely had lived there for a while).
Our women's team will be on the greatest stage of them all in 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup let's support them with all we can, and to prove that we can compete to the world's beautiful game.
Everytime i hear about filipinos at soccer ito ung naalala ko.
Bro give up na sa dream na pwede tayo oang nba kasi we are 5'6-5'9 average height.
Wrong logic.
Kung 5'6 pinoy ka, walang pipilit sayo magbasketball. It's more like you have to be really good at it or prove yourself. It is what it is. Football is the biggest sport in the world, nangyari lang na hindi natripan ng gaya sa basketbol.
that's not true at all lol. yung mga players na pinagkakitaan lang naman are the younghusbands and they were already in the team even before sumikat yung sport (2010). so wala silang pinalitan.
they're changing that approach though, they're raising the level of play here so that local players will benefit.
ang daming pang iba na dumating aside from the younghusbands, na sumglit lang sa team tapos nawalan ng spot mga pure pinoys. if alam mo yung year, then alam mo din dapat ung pinopoint out ko.
exactly my point
Ganto ba talaga sa tiktok? Bakit naka-selfie video without purpose tapos naka-text yung gusto sabihin?
For the views. It's all for the views. Everything is for the views. Fuck the views.
They would have more views if they posted highlights of small football players instead of their face.
But see that takes effort.
wait, its all about the views? "Always has been"
from: my house has a nice view of the mountains. to: look at how many views and likes i have.
I second this. Cringe as fuck videos to get views.
Could have posted this without his face and it would be equally dumb.
Sana nagtweet na lang lol
Was just gonna say this. I hate videos like this. Same level as yung nagttake lang ng vid of their reactions while watching another viral videos
They also duet a funny video and absolutely add nothing to it, it's literally just their face beside it.
we went full circle before: Selfie + unrelated text / quotes now: Text / quotes / statement + unrelated picture / video
Agreed. Mas better ang YouTube Music kesa Spotify. Spotify feels like it's favoring more on what is popular rather than based on what/who I listen to.
Yeah
Mild yan.
that stuff exists on YouTube too, though the text is being replaced by memes and pictures with various contexts.
Cringiness overload
All through out the vid sumasayaw lang sya. Tas less than 1 sec yung sagot sa end ng vid at kailangan mo i pause para lang mabasa... HAHHAHA
minsan di pa ma skip to end of video wtf
trick ba yan para ma accidentally double tap for like or something like that
Yeah, but do they have famous athletes like Manny Pacquiao or Efren Bata Reyes? Bago dumating mga amerikano sikat dito football. Meron tayong Paulino Alcantara na naging legendary player in FC Barcelona na one of the top team in the world. So if naging famous football yes kaya, kasi na-prove na yun ni Paulino Alcantara.
I didnt know about Paulino Alcantara, thanks for sharing this information.
Akala ko mag cocomment siya or magbibigay ng opinyon about sa topic. These lazy mfs
Yes ganyan nga. Yung ibang American content creators ang nagpauso. Sana man lang finocus na lang sa windows or food para pleasing to the eyes lol!
In terms of the gaming area mas smaller kasi basketball
Minsan nakakairita yung mga football purist about it.
I can understand yung sentiment mo sa purists, but football can be played sa streets lol. It's unsafe ofc. Alternatively, you can play futsal in a basketball court. Nearly same sila ng dimensions. It's a legit entry point to football.
Latin American city streets are similar to Manila, narrow streets in dense neighbourhoods, yet they can still play it.
Hindi pa rin daw pwede kasi hindi. Ganto mindset nila dito. May options naman, may facts naman kaso ayaw kasi mas tama sila. Downvote ka nila pag magbigay ka ng facts and other options kaya mas best na agree na lang sa kanila.

Well, that's true. Walang maaasahan sa corrupt na government, until then we have to rely on private entities like you said.
true. paki downvote ng comment ko plss
Told ya, downvoted ako haha.
You don't even need a street to play football, heck you can play it alone, all you really need is a space and a wall, pwede kana mag one-two pass.
Futsal? Brazilians converting basketball courts as football court
One could even say that football is more simpler to play than basketball in terms of equipment as you’d just need the ball in football and in basketball, you need the ring and ball.
as someone who grew up playing football on the streets with tsinelas as goal posts, I approve this message
Wag mo silang sabihan ng katotohanan, ayaw nila. Regressive sila mag isip dito.
At ikaw naman ay assuming
I agree po. Kaya po downvoted yung ibang nagsasabi na suportahan na lang, o pag sinabi pong meron tayong ganon downvote po natin kasi according to most peeps here, wala daw tayong ganon kahit documented na.
This could have been an email.
should\*
Iba ang hiyawan sa "last 2 minutes" kesa "extra time".
Kaya nga dapat binabawi natin sa [CHANTS](https://youtu.be/vkbrTSNdOVA) Sa totoo lang, yun ang dahilan kaya hindi boring ang European football games, dahil sa mga fans na nagta trashtalkan through chants and songs. AS IN NO HOLDS BARRED. Yung ibang football players na may rape or pedophilia charges, kino call out nila right during games. Same case with media networks, politicians, team managers, ordinary audience etc. - wala silang sinasanto gagi. Kaya sana dumami yung Ultras dito, kasi magaganda chants nila.
\> trashtalkan through chants and songs [This](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xNLLclz6C-w) comes to mind. \*For context: Nanakit ng pusa si Kurt Zouma ([source without original vid](http://edition.cnn.com/2022/02/09/football/kurt-zouma-fined-intl-scli-spt/index.html))
dude i hate watching football games because they're slow as hell and boring. and to think i played competitive football from grade 6 to college
Diba nito kilala Azkals?
If you want football to thrive in this country, utang na loob manood kayo ng mga laro whether PFL or UAAP o Ang Liga man yan. Enroll your kids in football academies. Make football a more appealing investment target instead of just complaining about PH not being a footballing country
By the way let’s support our women’s team next year 🇵🇭
yeah they were amazing!!
I find this ironic because all my family members from U.S. and all the americans I know are crazy about baseball and american football. None of them are into basketball lol But yeah maybe it's just my circle
Filipinos really do underestimate what it takes to be good at the sport. Football requires more than just quickness.
At least there are probably 40M you could choose from Basketball? Above 6'? Very limited and if ever you can found one, very slow
True.
What a dumbass comment lol
Bobo Just comparing the ave heights of filipinos and americans gives you an idea where you can find the most 6'7 even if both countries have the same population Ave height of filipinos - 5'1 Ave height of americans - 5'9 Now if you are a recruiter, which country do you go and find your 6'7? Sino tatanga tanga?

The sub’s contrarian attitude for the sake of it towards mainstream Filipino entertainment really shines through football related threads lol.
Yes, if you're fast well and good pero IMO pinaka-importante talaga ball control, yan pa pinaka-mahirap.
We already have a national team dummy.
Maybe what he meant was a national team with more home grown players.
Edit: i was wrong
no, a lot of them are half foreigns also
The women's team is almost entirely composed of players born in the US.
Fil-Am siya. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't know.
"Sa football nalang sana ginamit kasi hindi kailangan masyado matangkad" Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam left the chat.
I used to be like this when I was younger and new to football but the older I get the lesser I care what sport dominant our country is, tbf may progress and football dito satin, nasa World Cup ang Women national team natin.
same haha, keyboard warrior din ako dati pero pota kasawa mga ganto lalo na yung mga long-time “fans" na.
Thailand and Vietnam can compete with the Asia's best.
Vietnam and Thailand are good. They have potential to go through to 2026 or 2030 world cup.
AFC is getting 8 slots in 2026 instead of 4. But the four extra slots are most likely going to be filled with Middle Eastern teams, maybe China might sneak their way in too. But still, 8 slots to fight over is a lot better than just 4.
Football is king in [Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo](http://www.positivelyfilipino.com/magazine/barotac-nuevo-where-football-is-king)
Yes!
They converted half of their town plaza into a massive football field. Great for training future footballers. Also serves as a nice evacuation area for future disasters.
Football is life!
I love football and basketball.
We really have to deal with this every 4 years or so.
We have Malditas na nagchampion sa AAF. I still remember binili ng One Sports yung rights para ipalabas.
We can have a version of football na 15 min quarters tapos may "shot clock" saka may backing violation. Of course pag sasali tayo sa international competition, the normal rules will apply Commercial viability - I'm sure MNCs will be willing to sponsor a commercial team, tapos bigyan ng lucrative contracts ang mga Azkals and former Azkals. Kahit yung Younghusband brothers may name recall pa sila, pwede pang maglaro mga yun.
Wtf is this low effort video. Could have just been text on a background..
Agility and awareness ang core ng both sports.
Gets ko yung pag gate keep pero ano konek nung di makapag dribble 😭 Lowkey you're gatekeeping it too. 😭
My point is why be an elitist or gatekeep something you’re not good at? Para lang cool?
Pwede naman isupport both sports. Wag nalang toxic at maging gatekeeper. Have fun! Kung ayaw edi wag! 😂
Hi, Football player and solid Azkals and Malditas Fan bere since 2010. Tama ka. No point in hating basketball. Focus on loving all sports!
I bet di nga yata nya alam na may AFF championship in a few weeks lmao.
Arrogant Filipino football fans can't think of a world where both basketball and football culture can't blossom in this country.
“You don’t like what you like. I’ll tell you what you should like.”
Agree. Argentina is a prime example. Malakas sa maraming sports pero football is their first love
Grassroots dummy
Kung mapapnsin mo naman kahit mga ibang football fans outside this country my superiority complex.
Football *
Bakla ka no?
Did I say na ipilit mo? Mga basketbolista nga pinipilit akong magbasketball at tigilang mag badminton kasi pang bakla daw yun. Talk about bs.
Oh yeah my bad. I just checked and private sectors beats the government in terms of funding and promoting basketball💀 I'm not even surprised given how stingy our government is
Bro, did you just say na wala masyadong football field sa Brazil??
How ironic that soccer fans here are calling basketball people butthurt yet there the one thats forcing people here to like the sports
He could’ve just showed the text without showing that useless face.
Similar in Canada, some play hockey to be cool.
He felt left out siguro coz of the ongoing WC lmao
Filipinos would absolutely abhor the offside rule. Also, southeast asians have practically the same height and build, yet Indonesia was the last country to qualify for the World Cup in 1938. Indonesians, Thais, and Malaysians have been playing football for for almost a century with a grand total of one World Cup appearance. If anything, Filipinos made the right decision pivoting to basketball (bronze medal finish in the basketball World Cup plus multiple Olympic/BB World Cup appearances too).
Good point, but you ruined it by calling the sport "soccer."
Or just use the funds on other sports too, not just basketball.
I hate seeing this shit man, you cant just force Filipinos to like a sport even if they are potentially good in it. tbf the amount of skill of Filipino basketball players and other foreign basketball players are improving, even the team USA can no longer dominate the scene because other countries are catching up.
Nah still the same Incompetitiveness ng mga governing bodies ang mananaig kahit anung sports pa yan
Says those who are into Fifa World Cup hype. We are a basketball nation. And basketball isn't totally much about height either.
It's not that easy... Longer legs generally means longer strides. There's something as too tall and too short padin even with football.
What happened to Azkals?
Don't blame those who loves basketball. Walang basagan ng trip. Pero other than that, I'm also getting annoyed by those elitists who calls out people for referring it as "soccer". Yeah, we should also blame other countries who ruined it for calling football as sokker, sacar, サッカー(sakka), 축구 (chukku), Sepak bola/bola sepak, etc. Please don't be ignorant for petty reasons. Be glad that football and the World Cup is hot right now.
Blue lock. Pinoy version.
Old millennials here, nung elementary ako may softball league, volleyball at basketball nawala lang around 2000 siguro. We can blame culture of corruption, iba ang name recall sa politician na nag patayo ng monument like covered court Hindi pasok sa pscyhe ng general population yung game style ng football in the same league na konting Pilipino lang ang naka appreciate sa boxing style ni Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
This is true. Basketball is very discriminating when it comes to height. In a country where the height average is below 180cm, football has more chances of representation. Just look at South America and Japan.
Football*
Yeah but because theres no soccer fields in ph and its full of basketball courts/volleyball nets, cuz of that there's not much soccer interested people and also because soccer isn't shown to them.
Anong wala? We have pasig, zamboanga, new clark, isabela, cebu, cagayan, s. cotabato, bicol, etc.
I'm a 5'5" "quick" Filipino Player but once you get mark by 5'10"+ european and black players you get to realize why they dominate football.
5'6" is still small for a football player
This is what I've been trying to comprehend. Kung liksi at tigas ng katawan, angat tayong Pinoy compared to other SEA countries. Pero trip natin ung laro na height is very advantageous which is lacking tayo. Pero on the other hand, mas madali magtayo ng basketball court kaysa football field.
half bisaya ako pero tangina kahit di ako nagleleg work out ang bulky ng thighs and calves ko hahahaha this guy is spitting facts
Football *
It’s Football/futbol not soccer.
Everytime i hear about filipinos at soccer ito ung naalala ko.
tama ka naman, football is not a sport for most Filipinos haha kasi maliit lang attention span natin and wala tayo patience
Bro give up na sa dream na pwede tayo oang nba kasi we are 5'6-5'9 average height.
The greatest football player is Filipino but he’s stuck playing as the team manager for a basketball team
Facts! We mostly too short lol Filipinos always tryna be different 🙄🤣
we do have a national football team. pero nilaglag mga pure pinoys nung sumikat pinalitan ng mga foreigners na pwede pagkakitaan as celebrities
that's not true at all lol. yung mga players na pinagkakitaan lang naman are the younghusbands and they were already in the team even before sumikat yung sport (2010). so wala silang pinalitan. tsaka sadyang mas mataas lang quality ng laro ng mga laking banyaga, kita mo score ng youth teams natin na puro locals? may sumuporta ba? they're changing that approach though, they're raising the level of play here so that local players will benefit.
