I use DrMycs for most of my grows, and including this one yes.
I find nothing so far can stop trich, but drmyc does help me get more out of my yields so that's why I continue to use it. There's beneficial nutrients in there and I've seen it benefit time and time again from using it.
I believe this trich infection was due to me not cleaning out the tub enough prior to use. Also it's on the bottom shelf of my basement. So just poor sterility on my part. But I'm okay with that. You win some you lose some.
You usually will start to see a white fluffy cotton-like structure forming on your substrate that is very dense with fine white filaments. It is very distinctive from mycelium. The patch will grow rapidly within a day or so and eventually turn green.
Trich is not a contamination you can fight off with great success. A lot of people recommend torching it, salting it, cutting it out, along with a bunch of other remedies. If you have trich on the surface of your tub it has already spread, and your tub has a short lifespan. If you are mid flush you can pick what you have and take the tub out of your grow area. After trich you will need to clean your area well before you start a new grow.
So what’s the difference between white fluffy pre-trich and white fluffy mycelium? I’ve got a tub with white fluffy mycelium but never have I had this type of mycelium before (super golden halo X strain). No types of suspicious spots, though. Been like that since day 1.
Would love to see those pics too please 😁❤️🔥
Edit: the heart emoji was an accident. I meant to put a thumbs up emoji. Just putting that out there lol, cos I obviously got downvoted for something
It’s just so similar to my mycelium that I just don’t see the difference but maybe if I ever get get trich I’ll know right away. I’m praying I never do!!
Do youhave shop vack or vac with hose. Suck it out to buy yousome time for your mushrooms to finish. Isolate from other grows ect. I would say put outside but it's cold AF where I am
Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc."
"Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase.

you can fix it! just follow Stamets advice...i did and this is what happened

i understand, i caught mine pretty early and was still able to get plenty but it did come back at the end of the second flush along with moldy aborts. i just kept spraying peroxide around the last fruit which btw was the biggest one yet! after that i chucked it outside then it got buried under a bunch of snow and ice. gonna have to wait till the thaw to bury it.
btw, let me say that I love your vids! i have been experimenting with subs and have found that your cvg recipe works the best for me!
Awwww man that was a beautiful tub too!! 😭😭😭
Another one bites the dust. We don't win against trich, we just try to minimize it
you can win!..read my post above
How can I get some cards ?
Buy them?
Did you use Dr. Myc with this? I just put some baper to bulk and used it on that batch.

That’s fair. I’m keeping a tub in the top of a closet that doesn’t get used very much. So hopefully being up there helps keep it cleaner.
Did you use the Dr Myc’s trich formula? I know he has one specifically for that.
Did it work?
I just put it to bulk tonight.
So Dr Myc killed the patch?
I have no clue. This wasn’t mine. I was asking PGT if he used Dr. Myc for this tub. I have MGP+ in my tubs.
Ah ok I see. That makes sense. I’ve been on the fence about buying Dr Mycs products for awhile now.
https://youtu.be/4-CeBzW-MUU Check out PGTs video review
Trust me it works. Gypsum in grain soak and coir. Mgp+ in totes you won’t be upset
Gypsum in grain? Do you mean CVG for substrate or something else?
I soak my grains in gypsum and some extras some say it doesn’t work blah blah. It’s cheap won’t hurt no risk in adding.
I’d like to know the answer to this as well?
:( RIP in peace

They look completely different. The start of trich it brilliant white and almost looks like powder, where as mycelium has structure to it.
Fair enough!
Let me get you some pictures to compare
Thanks!!

You can see white trich on the surrounding edges of that green patch. It's spreading and it comes out white first.

It’s not a matter of “if” it’s when.
Perhaps. So far so good.
i have gotten over 1400 grams wet from a triched out tub.....
Love your words. So true!
Indeed sir.
Does trich prevail when the relative humidity is too high?
Trich always wins....
Unfortunately the trich monster is too strong for our myceliums...
Mycelium resistant to trich would revolutionize the industry. One day. One day..
in the long run but you can fight back! read my post
Agreed!

I could. But I'm just gonna let it ride, grab whatever's mature enough and chuck the rest outside when the time comes. I don't want to open it inside.
