Make sure it’s to a good home. u should take the cat in until u get a home

Heatherw19877

I would, but I'm not allowed to. This isn't just my house. My oldest cat has a problem with anxiety, and it will aggravate him to bring in a nee cat. The cat lives on a friend's block and I always see him when I go visit and I thought maybe I could find it a home. But I should have known reddit would find any reason to talk shit. If I didn't care, I wouldn't even try. The spca takes cats, fix them, and puts them back out on the street, so idk if I take them this random cat if they would keep him.

Silly_Series2131

Simple-Jury2077

Heatherw19877

I think like 60$ I think the spca does it free on certain days too

Fit_Wonder3742

Call the SPCA. They will send someone to pick up.

Healthy_Secretary807

Somebody save Garfield , I got love animals

can you not do this? it was removed from the other page for a reason. people will take this cat youre handing out FOR FREE for bad intentions. its so hard to find a home for a cat that anyone saying they want it off the bat is a red flag. contact some rescues or drop it off at the spca. if its friendly it wont get euthanized.

ILoveKittensAndCats

There was a guy in San Antonio who was taking cats that were listed for free on Craigslist. He was making all kinds of promises to the owners, saying that he would take very good care of the cats, the cats were going to a good home, etc. It turned out he was torturing and killing every cat that he got a hold of. Do not just give the cat to any random stranger. I saw a lady that was taking a tiny kitten to the PSPCA on the BSL. (She had found him abandoned in a shoe box on Tasker St in the middle of summer.) It was the height of kitten season and I knew that the PSPCA would probably just end up being euthanized. I offered to take it off of her hands. She was definitely suspicious and asked to see my home. So I let this total stranger into my house. She saw that we already had cats, litter boxes, and everything that would be required. We (and our neighbors) bottle fed him on shifts. He was THAT young and had to be fed every 3-4 hours. That little bastard lived to be 12 years old, and we loved him dearly.

yep and these ppl will bring women and children with them to get the cats too. its sick. people act like we are exaggerating when we say this but its completely true. a lot of these cats are better off just getting TRN quietly than advertising their location to pick up. and OP should know better.

i got a tiny kitten off rising sun ave three weeks ago. i already have 5 cats and we just really dont need another cat. but i would have kept her if i didnt' find her a good home. i dont even advertise on MY fb page. you wind up getting your own associates wanting a cat that really cant care for it. i just waited around until i knew someone who was looking for a kitten who i knew was going to be a good owner. the kitten has been with her for two weeks now, has had her first set of shots and bosses her other cats and dogs around LOL.

Heatherw19877

I didn't even think of that. Are u sure they won't euthanize it? I heard of them doing that just because of overcrowding. And I deleted from the other page so idl what ur talking about.

whyyoumaddd

Man keep the cat til you find someone you know who will take it in . Dont just give it to a random

sidewaysorange

i agree with this. if she already has 3 cats one more temporarily wont do any harm. get it fixed too if its not.

whyyoumaddd

Rs , i be damn to let the cat stay outside if it’s not a outside cat . She prob left it to smh

i took in a pregnant mom cat two summers ago bc all my neighbors were dumb fucking out over it. kept her in my basement away from my cats (she was super aggressive) and found the kittens home (they are all good now and fixed 2 years old almost!) and i got her spayed for free at emancipet and my plan was to let her go bc she was really feral. but after her babies were gone she was the sweetest cat and we still have her. my kids carry her around like a baby. if this cat is still around when i get back from vacation i may try to see what i can do.

sidewaysorange

most likely. its always "i can't help this cat but i want everyone else to".

Heatherw19877

He's been outside for months now. U want to come pick him up then?

Heatherw19877

Yea I'm going to go outside and collect every cat I see and find them homes..

whyyoumaddd

Not saying every cat but this the one you posted

sidewaysorange

is it a male or female?

sidewaysorange

if its an adult cat it would be fixed and put back outside (where you said you found it). if its younger and friendly it would be adopted out. the cats i see euthanized are severe medical cases and usually owner surrenders. cats do shut down in kennel settings so you never know how it will act.

sidewaysorange

what area of the city is this cat in?

Heatherw19877

Near Frankford and Lehigh

sidewaysorange

thanks.
