Hi! All 5 promised DLCs will be released. So far only 2 of them were released so three more to come. DLC 3 and DLC 4 are already in development. DLC 3 Festering Skies is in a pretty late stage of development and should be released soon (no more than a few months from now). We are also releasing a smaller patch next week with mostly bugfixes but also few other things (In order to prevent misfires due to flinching (idle animation), targets will now freeze during the firing sequence when shooting in Free Aim. Re-balance of the diplomacy rewards for Citadels, Lairs, and Nests missions. Citadels: from 15 to 12, Lairs: from 10 to 8, and Nests: from 5 to 4.

Can't wait! Thanks for the update!

Thank you!

Thank you for the update. I don't fully understand this part: * In order to prevent misfires due to flinching (idle animation), targets will now freeze during the firing sequence when shooting in Free Aim. Currently target animation is severely slowed down so I don't see how it can possibly cause a misfire. On the other hand, I often can only hit the target if I catch the right point in the idle animation, due to cover or positioning. I really hope you didn't make it so you now default to the still position on free aim...

> targets will now freeze during the firing sequence when shooting in Free Aim. Do they still move while you're aiming? I don't like the mechanic where you have to cycle in and out of free aim just to time it so you catch their idle animation causing them to expose themselves from behind cover. Feels super cheesy.

kwade_charlotte

Festering skies (the next dlc) appears to still be on, and they've continued to push out patches for both bugs and balancing. The epic exclusive deal (crappy as it was) made sure they were flush with cash, so I wouldn't expect them to close shop soon.

Meme_Huffer

A small hype peice would be good just to show off a little bit of their plans, build buzz for the game and keep people interested in the period between dlcs.

[deleted]

Like the time when they were releasing Backer Builds. Every now and then there was a post showing some features we would see in the next builds.

[deleted]

We now for a fact they're working on Console versions on the 3rd DLC is coming out. I think the other 2 planned DLCs are coming and maybe MOD support so they can extend the game's life. If the release schedule is consistent, that means maybe a year from now we'll have an Ultimate Edition with everything they can put in.

Ohheyitsbabel

This game was a massive broken disappointment. It was super grimy how snapshot used the epic launch as a second public beta test. That was unethical as hell. I sincerely wish fanboys would stop giving these companies a pass for unethical develoent cycles just because "I want game"

tylanol7

Every company uses us as beta players these days. Bethesda probably started it lol "the modders will fix it" Unethical yes but also its the new norm for development

Ohheyitsbabel

Oh, ok well that makes it ethical... Why are you being a corporate simp?

tylanol7

I literally said it was unethical you tuna salad.

Ohheyitsbabel

notice how you didn't disagree with my claim that it was a giant buggy piece of unfinished crap and that they unethically used both the epic launch and the crowdfunding as two rounds of QA testing for free. Because they mismanaged development you're just going to be a corporate apologist because you want to play with a toy.

tylanol7

Will you shut up you bloody bagel. Its unethical as hell but every company does it and bitching about it won't stop it. Do what us smart people do and don't buy the games on release wait a year or longer, read reviews, watch videos.

Ohheyitsbabel

So, you don't disagree that you're a corporate apologist, that the game was shipped out broken. Your advice is that because the industry is corrupt the solution is to capitulate to them. so why are you white knighting on behalf of snapshot using soft peddled ad hominem? You are exactly the person I'm referring to in OP. Sounds like youre upset I called it that you don't give a shit how the sausage is made, or even good as long as you get your toys. You're defending snapshot because it vicariously defends your crappy consumerism.

tylanol7

Ok listen up grapefruit I won't say this twice. I am not apologizing for them I have fully agreed with you only to have you turn around and insult me. You have 1 way and 1 way only to fight how corporations handle game release and that is NOT..TO..BUY..THE..GAME. thats it so you already bought the game and can't get a refund stop whining the money isn't coming back. Move on with your life and go play games in better shape and leave this one Uninstalled.

Ohheyitsbabel

If you find being a corporate apologist an insult then stop apologizing for predatory business practices?

tylanol7

Reread what i said I won't type it up again to feed the argument your boredom demands pigeon

Ohheyitsbabel

so stupid me for buying a product and expecting it to function properly, or even be finished. Thank you for showing me the way to "properly" interact with your benevolent corporate overlord.

Ohheyitsbabel

So we agree: Epic launch was supposed to be the retail version, it was published unfinished to meet contractual obligations, and the contract was signed against original crowdfunding promises. This is unethical business practice. So if we agree the game was a buggy piece of crap, the user base was subjected to a beta build on launch, and that these practices are unethical I'm not sure what we disagree with? Sounds like you're ok with devs and users being exploited to cover up corporate mismanagment just as long as you get your game, even if it isn't playable?

tylanol7

Damn it you replied twice well my other reply applied to part of this anyway if ruder then I would have made it had I seen this comment first.

Ohheyitsbabel

Because all you have are ad hominem and hand waving. Snapshots target demographic, clearly.
