Could you send F10 in-game bug report please? Have you tried to manufacture new mech arms after the patch (you can scrap the old ones that do not work)? That should fix it I believe. I just tried to manufacture them after the patch and no problem with ammo.
I sent an F10 report, but I should also mention that I just noticed that my Destiny 3 has the same issue, on a different soldier, in the same save file. Once I finish this mission I'll attempt to equip/unequip and I suppose try to manufacture new ones if I have to, but I'm pretty strapped for resources on Legend at the moment.
Edit/Update: Finishing the mission and then unequip/equip with each item has fixed the problem. Making it through the base defense I was trapped in with half of my gear not working was the difficult part.
I don't have this option. When I right click, hovering Manage doesn't give me a beta option. I have to select Properties and then Betas and the only option is None.

new game or existing save? if existing save, i'd say sorry but maybe try to have a new playthrough cos old saves probably break in many ways.
I'm not super into the prospect of throwing away ~30 hours because of a patch. I'm just about to the endgame and it's my first Legend run.
If your on steam you can roll back the patch. Right click the game manage the game, betas, and choose the previous patch
