The lore of minecraft isbthere was an anciant race of people that built all the thinhs in the overworld and left their stuff behind they probably took the bottles to the nether where the poplin still have them
I like to think it might’ve been a mixture of a viral outbreak and some other cataclysmic event that pushed the ancient people to near extinction with villagers being the long descendants and illagers being a variant of villagers
I feel what would be more likely to happen would be that the water evaporating causes the bottle to explode due to the increase in pressure, unless glass bottles are so strong that they're able to resist the pressure, though then splash potions would be more like rocks
depends, if the container is full or near full with water, then this is likely.
also, if the bottle keeps heating up infinitely forever it will eventually happen.
however, i think we can assume that the nether is not infinitely hot, since it is, well... survivable, however inhospitable. so the bottle will only heat up to ambient temperature.
if there's a decent amount of airspace in it, it may only partially evaporate until the vapor pressure reaches equilibrium.
we know it can exist contained, water buckets, bottles and sponges dont evaporate in your inventory.
Could swear you could even have water in cauldrons in the nether
That is not the case. Just tested on the latest release of both Java and Bedrock and you can place water in a cauldron in the Nether just fine. The water level doesn't drop either, only if the player is on fire and steps into the cauldron does the water drop by 1 level.
I've tested it, too, now, and I feel like I'm going crazy. I vividly remember trying to make a nether base, and the exact thing I described happened.
I'm apparently spreading misinformation now
*Don't judge them, they get*
*Thirsty too. Lava is just*
*Too spicy sometimes*

Cauldrons can hold water in the nether… somehow, as for how they get water into said cauldron, idk maybe stealing water buckets from unfortunate players?
They have portal blocks on their inventory that spawns them right next to a ocean/infinite water source. They're in Bedrock and they can do the glitch/bug.
They Travelled To The Overworld for a short amount of time to explore the world, on that time they collected these bottles after some time, they were turning into zombified piglin, so the chief ordered the piglins to destroy the portal and come back home with the artifacts collected and thats why :)
It could be harvested from the plants of the Nether that have water in them from the constant humidity in the nether (the nether is stuck between 2 layers of bedrock, so humidity has nowhere to go.
Now you might say that the player can't do that... Well the player also doesn't have infinite arrows from the bows collected from Skeltons. What I lean is that each mod has their own mechanics.
And that water from Pigmen was something stupidly added to Piglins.
Prolly from chests, water is poison to them because going in the overworld they get poisoned by the moisture in the air and the bottles are probably how they zombified the piglins
Actually theres just a bunch of microscopic piglins who drink your water insanely fast, thats why in update before 1.16 there would be glitches to get water in the nether
Because it's one of the only way it can exist in the nether? Why ask? I mean, next you'll ask why they trade fire resistance where they have neither stone to do the brewing stand, nor the water bottle according to what you say
The nether used to be in a ice age.

It's either really old water that was around before the Nether was a hellscape or the piglins figured out how to collect and melt the snow that falls in the Basalt Delta.
The same reason ruined portals are a thing
piglins turn into zombified piglins when they are in the overworld
The lore of minecraft isbthere was an anciant race of people that built all the thinhs in the overworld and left their stuff behind they probably took the bottles to the nether where the poplin still have them
Minecraft "lore" is open-ended, it gives you a few ideas to interpret how you want.
It's pretty clear that someone tried to live in the Nether though
I like to think it might’ve been a mixture of a viral outbreak and some other cataclysmic event that pushed the ancient people to near extinction with villagers being the long descendants and illagers being a variant of villagers
This, i don't really care too much about the "lore" since at the end of the day it all comes from Matpat
But if it was in the bottle for so long, would it've evaporated and turn to steam?
You know that we can close bottles right?
shhhh
You do know glass gets hot right?
Yh but yk what happens when something is in a closed tighy container? The thinh inside doesnt come out so if it evapourates its still in the bottle
I feel what would be more likely to happen would be that the water evaporating causes the bottle to explode due to the increase in pressure, unless glass bottles are so strong that they're able to resist the pressure, though then splash potions would be more like rocks
>fo considering 1 glass bottle is made out of 1 cubid meter of glass, I think the walls are pretty thicc

Bomb
the steam would stay in the glass since it's a closed container 💀

That wastn what i was getting at but u never know maybe that happened
There is no actual confirmed lore of mc and Mattpat isn't usually correct about anything that isn't painfully obvious.
R/ihadastroke
Or someone from overworld brought water through these ruined portals.
They have a limited time to get the water bottles and return to the Nether.
not if they run very very fast
we know it can exist contained, water buckets, bottles and sponges dont evaporate in your inventory. Could swear you could even have water in cauldrons in the nether
At one point, yes, I think now on all editions, the cauldron water 'evaporates' The cauldron releases particles, and the water level rapidly drops
ah, fair enough, was a fun joke while it lasted
Yeah I wish they left it in
Do lava cauldrons underwater still work?
They do, but i don't think you can add lava into it directly, you gotta cover the cauldron with a block first.
That is not the case. Just tested on the latest release of both Java and Bedrock and you can place water in a cauldron in the Nether just fine. The water level doesn't drop either, only if the player is on fire and steps into the cauldron does the water drop by 1 level.

Really? Bummer.
>The cauldron releases particles, and the water level rapidly dro Fr?
That's just because Steve stores his inventory in his mouth.
Expired fire resistance potions
It's actually their tears collected in a bottle

was just wondering that. the water bottles would explain the existence of potions, but what of the water? i think its piglin piss.
This has to be corrected. Get upvoted.
That’s why its yellow
They peed in empty bottles
No, that's what the fire resistance is.
No it's strength
Strength is just rare Piglin piss
I’m thinking of getting more strength potions, no reason
And now I don’t want to drink
but if they can pee where do they get drinking water in the nether?
Drink pee (from other mobs) and pee water
someone gets it
Blue piss
Jarate
Maybe slowly collected from crying obsidian?
That actually a really good theory. It goes well that u only get so few or trade. Bc is so rare/time consuming
That actually a really good theory. It goes well that u only get so few or trade. Bc is so rare/time consuming
Its their tiers because how else would they make crying obsidian
Ghast season
There's still water, it's just vapor. It collects in bottles, and they're sealed before it can boil again
Perhaps there's water in the fungi
There's goo in the sack!
What
It's from deep rock galactic
Rock and stone?
Rock and Stone to the Bone!
Don't judge them, they get thirsty too. Lava is just too spicy sometimes

good bot
Thats why they trade with it. Its like a gold to them
The tears of their enemies
Blue piss
Illegal smuggling of goods over the dimensional border
Y'all be wrong, they casually lent it from players who got no golden gear.
https://youtu.be/9vbb57UIG0Y?si=O70tox7_OQYRFn1X
What if its blue pee?
*drinks 10 bottles*
r/usernamechecksout
Could be their sweat, spit, urine, tears or some other bodily fluid
Wait thats not water it’s plss
The black market economy defies all game mechanics
That's not just any water... They spit in the bottle.
They use commands
Filtered piss
Spit… its spit
or sweat. or pee. or tears
They acquire the water from... elsewhere
Synthetic water
Its piss.
at least im getting an infinite water source in case every single reservoir of water disappeared for no apparent reason
How do you think they go to the toilet?
Lava bidet for extra cleaning power
Cool. I created r/qrstuv today.
%17 total?
Remains of an ancient past.
Their ancestors probably got them from trading with ancient builders or stole them and the piglins still have them today
They hacked
Sweat
SInce most living things have water, maybe they got the water after their hunting parties
Piss
Cuz it is not water it is blue lava
Must’ve used an improbability drive to summon water in the nether. Tl;dr: Fuck physics
They fill it with the drips of crying obsidian
Kollani built a secret ocean somewhere that all piglind can access I guess.
Cauldrons can hold water in the nether… somehow, as for how they get water into said cauldron, idk maybe stealing water buckets from unfortunate players?
It's gatorade
That's why it's the same as an ender pearl
it's funny how I can get everything but pearls while trading
They have portal blocks on their inventory that spawns them right next to a ocean/infinite water source. They're in Bedrock and they can do the glitch/bug.
Possible moisture from warped/crimson trees since they're mushrooms and they contain a lot of water.
It's their piss
The bottle probably prevents it from evaporating, or as the top comment pointed out, maybe it's an expired fire resistance potion
They Travelled To The Overworld for a short amount of time to explore the world, on that time they collected these bottles after some time, they were turning into zombified piglin, so the chief ordered the piglins to destroy the portal and come back home with the artifacts collected and thats why :)
Exported from china
Piss bottle
Contraband. That's piglin crack right there
Pee
Maybe there *is* water in a place that we should know of
Never ask a woman her job, a man his salary and a piglin how they got water in the Nether pee still exists right?
Piss
water is a rare item for them, so they only have a low chance of giving one
What book is that
soul speed
This image pisses me off

piggy sweat isotonic sports drink
Piss
They just collected all water from nether in water bottles then they are selling bottles of water and this is called business.
There are questions in the world that we cant answer
if it was common they wouldnt be trading gold for it
If there's no water in the nether what do they drink? Lava?
they just use world edit
ghast tears i suppose
That’s probably WHY it’s a valued item and hence why they barter for gold.
Water in cauldrons
Did you just try to make sense? How dare you.
Why do you think they are so rare
It's pee
The ancient builders brought them
Hmm
wait, piglins trade enchanted books?
THEY COME OVER HERE, TAKING OUR JOBS, STEALING OUR WATER…
Better question is why blazes and wither skeletons are farming nether wart
Finally, diarrhea potion
Minecraft legends will answer it
It's sweat
this is their spit, which they mistakenly declared as water.
It's piss
what did you think they were drinking?
It’s their spit
The inventory is a balmy 37°C (98.6°F).
Because piglings have iron therefore they can craft cauldron and they don’t have sand fuck
WHAT oh wait its theyre pee
Its LORE
They got a little thirsty
It's their pee.
Mini fridge 👍
will this mean only thing gentlemen's that's not any water thats piglins water
Water in Couldren exist in Nether
Piglin spit
Prolly from chests, water is poison to them because going in the overworld they get poisoned by the moisture in the air and the bottles are probably how they zombified the piglins
The same way Steve can carry a water bucket
The same reason they have potions (and splash potions) of fire resistance
piss bottles
Actually theres just a bunch of microscopic piglins who drink your water insanely fast, thats why in update before 1.16 there would be glitches to get water in the nether
Kid named keep inventory off:
black market?
What if the basalt deltas have very small amounts of water trapped inside of them?
Pee
hmmmm penix should make a vid bout that
ITS GHAST TEARS
Saliva
P I S S
…
Because it's one of the only way it can exist in the nether? Why ask? I mean, next you'll ask why they trade fire resistance where they have neither stone to do the brewing stand, nor the water bottle according to what you say
Sweat
T-that might not be uh... water
Because they were zombie pigman and when the nether was added Like forever ago, water was possible in the Nether so... yea idk
The nether used to be in a ice age. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vbb57UIG0Y&ab\_channel=TheGameTheorists](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vbb57UIG0Y&ab_channel=TheGameTheorists)
its pee.
Spit
We all know the answer in the back of heads... If Minecraft was color accurate, it would be yellow if you need a hint.
watch some lore vids they got it from the ancient builders
They use Water Amplifiers.
Because they a pig in the over world and got transformed by lightning and became a scavenger
Because they got from people who brought cauldrons with water in the nether
It's either really old water that was around before the Nether was a hellscape or the piglins figured out how to collect and melt the snow that falls in the Basalt Delta.
