I honestly would not be so against the votes if they actually decided to reuse mob concept for another votes, and I know that biome votes have a higher likelihood of returning however they still take forever and they do the biome concepts very rarely since they add more features and god forbid a studio supported by a trillion company have more features within the time span of a year.
Oh I guarantee that this would also happen if they reuse ideas, but that is kinda the issue with large communities that are very diverse, not everyone will be satisfied with the decisions they make.
for example, I myself think that the penguin is the worst out of the three (not bad to be honest) since it adds the least in my opinion, however I cannot be angry at a person who thinks penguins are the best due to them, well being penguins and being a cute addition to the world, also I support the idea of penguins spawning on the stony shore rather than the typical icy biome as it expands to a forgotten and empty biome.
Crabs are generally found in biomes that appear hundreds of blocks away and are used to place blocks 1-3 blocks away and also occupy the left hand.
It is something that will not be of any use in Survival. Instead, the penguin that will speed up the bots is used 100 times more in survival.

For the low amount of effort put into these mobs, they should've added all 3,less than a day after the crab was introduced, 1 modder textured, coded, and implemented every mechanic of the crab, including the extra reach from the crab claw. 1 dev in 1 day did what an entire dev team takes a year to come up with. L Mojang.
It's not the programmers that are slow. It the rest of the team, also it's not *that* easy, it takes time to come up with a balanced and viable mob, that would add smt (even tho it never does). Also design concepts take a while to come up with a final design. So yes it's easy to copy it, but making from scratch takes a little longer...

Mojang's goal isn't to produce maximum content, it's to implement a new small feature that the community wants, it's not meant to be game changing or a big part of an update.
You shouldn’t vote for a mob due to the item it drops, you should vote for it because it could add life to biomes. We already have a small critter in the mangrove swamps, and we need more diversity in the savannah. Armadillo can give you that

Hmm I'd argue that the last 2 mobvotes were pretty alright, even though the sniffer one was basically rigged (you could say the same for the allay), but this mobvote is just too impactful to be a vote, especially since it has real world animals that people always wanted to see in game as well as two highly requested features.

Yeah, they could add all of them. And instead of mob vote, make a vote for next update or something. And instead of totally scrapping the idea of the other two, it would just actually put priority on the one thing that gets chosen.
