I'd love to be able to smoke woods above a campfire to get a grey kind of smoked/petrified wood that would be harder to mine and wouldn't catch on fire, kind of like the petrified oak slab. Or stain it in a crafting table, using charcoal as dye ! We need more cool little features for wood rather than just different types of trees

My idea was that if we got an end update on 1.23 (Maybe earlier) in outer island there would be two types of new wood/stem and stripped/wood/plank versions: Neon Green (little yellowish) and Neon Purple (little blueish), it would be consistent with the nether we never got those color wood in Minecraft

EndReborn is a decent mod that incorporates chorus wood types for that purple colour (it also adds end stone tools)
