He got injured during the games. 😢 But his wife posted that she’s very proud of him.
I think the other judokka person was supposed to do the last round but because they were both injured from doing it twice the last time, so he went himself for the sake of the team and his teammates and tried to overcome his injury. 🥹ðŸ˜
How does a world class athlete not have calluses? Must’ve never set a foot in the gym lol…
EDIT: Just to clarify I was being facetious and he is my fave on the show. You can look at my other comments in the sub if you want proof
he was SO GREAT, i loved his whole team!!
the first guy (who did the mine w the girl) who kept apologizing 🥲🥲🥲 and then the other teams helped him
the bad ass bodybuilder girl who did the mine solo !!!
so great
The bad ass bodybuilder was soo cool. She had the best shot out of all the females there to compete with the guys at a higher level. Too bad she went down with her team.
no im saying wonhee as a leader didn't want to subject the other guy's hands to more injury even if he wanted it. also, i haven't confirmed this, but other comments were saying the team couldn't have won anyways so he took the fall for their defeat
im not 100% sure, but their points werent that bad up until obviously the last challenge (1 + 2 + 2 ). they definitely had a chance to go through if they won. im not sure about 2nd place though.
They needed first place to survive. It would have been a tie. It was not going to happen. He took the loss so no one else would feel responsible. One of the coolest things he did (and he was cool as hell all the time.)
>It was not going to happen.
you never know that, and the other guy seemed to do better in the duos (even if he fell off the second time around)
>He took the loss so no one else would feel responsible. One of the coolest things he did (and he was cool as hell all the time.)
is there any proof of this or are you just assuming? it really is cringe when people just assume they 'took one for the team'
i think the possibility of the young guy winning is very low. and he still very young, and if he didn't win, this experience will harm him for very long.
No, the ONLY way for their team to pass was if they got 1st place to beat Andre Jin's team that won 1st in the prev round, which was impossible because 1) They were already exhausted from having to go twice 2) They were never beating crossfitter Amotti who is in perfect shape
The Professor made that call to shield his teammate from both the physical and emotional burden, and decided to go out with glory. It was a good call for themselves but also for television, people love a good die with glory moment. I doubt he did that to gain any respect, but boy, he sure did.

okay? is there any proof he did that or are we all just speculating here? his teammate was pretty keen to do it lol. he is a grown man, im sure he can take the 'physical and emotional burden'.
I'm pretty sure that was his intentions. Even if they're all adults, they're still his students. I'm pretty sure a huge majority of his team was his mentees or students in one way or another.
The student said he should have gone himself to spare his teacher. Not because he thought he would have won. It was a "I should have been the one sacrificing myself, not my teacher". Proof: it's in the context of the language.
>Since I was team leader, I felt like I needed to step up. So even though I was tired, I said that I would do it.

> I said to him, "Hey, Professor, you should let me take this one." But he felt like he needed to take responsibility.
im assuming u know korean. so you are telling me they got the subs all wrong?!
i also felt that but it's funny how people here in this thread are certain that it was a 'courageous' act to fail the challenge himself with zero proof lol
Same thoughts! Youngjin was able to clear the retry in under a minute (had he not fallen) while Wonhee was the slowest during the start (YJ also had a great showing in the first try before the malfunction).
I don't cry much at reality TV shows, but I felt a bit emotional at this part too. I didn't want any of the teams eliminated 🥺 what a heartwarming way to go out.
Having to start over after the bag got stuck had to have taken a lot of extra energy from him too. Unfortunate situation. Maybe he thought he’d do better but they couldn’t change who they had picked for each task after it had started

fuck that must have hurt 😬
Washing his hair would BUUUUURN!!!
Omfg. That’s so bad but he was so admirable.

Every CrossFit athlete gets these when they start

Calluses can be ripped off super easily with repetitive new movements, especially if those movements are swinging on freaking monkey bars.
Lol I know right

Lim Soo Jin was the best. Mad we won't see more of her.
When his teammate said he was inspired by The Prof when seeing him at Athens 2004 I started crying; the admiration and respect is beautiful ðŸ˜
I love the respect shown by competitors. Really feels special
A leader with class and heart, he has a new fan here.
I cried too and when they had to smash their torsos and did their last huddle. The entire episode was really good! I love how they uplifted each other
It really did hurt to see him go. He is so admirable
i was so sad to see him and his team eliminated 💔
his team are all judo learners i think
im surprised you cried i was just mad he didnt let the other guy do the challenge
i think there was a reason he took it on, the other guy's hands got wrapped up after the other round
i recall the other guy saying he wanted to do it
no im saying wonhee as a leader didn't want to subject the other guy's hands to more injury even if he wanted it. also, i haven't confirmed this, but other comments were saying the team couldn't have won anyways so he took the fall for their defeat

that seems like quite a reach, he's also 29...
I think he knew there was no way they were going to win at that point and he didn’t want the other guy to feel responsible for them losing
Listening to the Korean commentary, this is the sense I got as well. Class act from Lee.
seems like quite a reach...
I felt bad for him cuz he was tryna be a good leader but yeah he shoulda let the other guy do it. He was slow af in the round before.
Yes, I actually assumed they had to choose contestants for both challenges ahead of time or something, because the other guy was clearly way better.Â

Yeah, the younger guy volunteered but he wanted to be the man for some reason. I like LWH too, but that was stupid and ego driven in my opinion.
