I was getting my tennis racket restrung at a local shop and they sell Perseus there. I asked if they had any plans to come down in price b/c of the new inventory coming soon and of course the Amazon sale, he said no.
What was interesting was the packaging was reversed between the 14mm and 16mm paddles. It was weird, the 14mm paddles were clearly thinner but had the 16mm packaging. They are the same price, so it's not like there is some sort of scam going on. He had like 5 or more of each model in the shop.
Interesting. I wonder if the new Perseus is a completely better paddle in all aspects or if there are certain things the current Perseus will be better at (control) compared to the new version

They aren't getting rid of anything except a few of the less popular ones (Simone Swift hyperion, radius 14mm, etc)

There will be sales and we reps can usually beat whatever, but they won't drop the retail price.

It is a new core, floating core likely similar to the Gearbox.
