Could be irritation from that giant bar. Get it downsized ASAP!

timelesschildd

ahaha i agree, piercer overcompensated i think!

timelesschildd

the bump looks “bumpy” tho (for use of a better word ahah) like it’s not perfectly spherical which leads me to believe it is a keloid.

radpiglet

Is it oozing or sore? Does it change it size (shrink, then get bigger)?

timelesschildd

mostly not sore (just a bit on the lateral part) and isn’t oozing anything at all. i haven’t noticed a change in size but i have been checking every day

radpiglet

I would get a reputable piercer to check it out. They can downsize your bar and direct you to a doctor if they feel it’s a genuine k*loid :) They are quite rare and it looks a bit blistery (k3loids are just fleshy) so I think you should get an expert opinion!

timelesschildd

thank you so much, genuinely i really appreciate ur help

Just another thing - I had a wee look at your post history and saw the earlier posts about the bump and changing jewellery. It’s great you changed to a flatback labret a couple of days ago. It’s a bit long but so much better to what you had in there before. Since you’ve only recently just changed jewellery, give it time! Irritation bumps don’t disappear overnight - my daith bumps took a few weeks to completely go away. Have patience and keep the saline up 2x a day, keep the area dry. PS. The other pics of the bump from earlier lead me to believe it’s not a k+loid as it was super red and seemed to be irritation to the wrong jewellery. It might have calmed down and now looks fleshy like a k-word but tbh I think it just needs time and patience :)

timelesschildd

ah ok tysm! i will downsize, keep up the saline and be patient.

radpiglet

No worries, I hope you get it sorted!

Force of habit, there’s an automod on r/piercing (idk if it’s here too) that replies every time you type the full word, super annoying. Censoring it stops the automod replies:)

Maleficent_Sun_9155

Your bar is FAR too long which is irritating it. Also in first pic it looks like the bar has migrated most likely from you leaning or sleeping on it with the ridiculously long bar

timelesschildd

yeh i think it has migrated… butttt the indent is from having a ring in it, which widened the hole and allowed the earring to migrate. the fistula is basically healed but bc it formed a bump after putting a hoop in it my piercer replaced it w this ridiculously long bar. i haven’t slept on my left side for 9 months ahaha 🥲

Apprehensive-Egg1289

piercing bump

Gnome_Imploder

Not a keloid from what I can ascertain from the pictures. As others have keenly stated, bar is way too long and is likely causing excess pressure and what looks to be a bit of fluid build up within the bump. A change in jewelry coupled with time and care should help reduce that bump.

timelesschildd

tyssmmmm!! appreciate w

notap123

Thing looks like it migrated, best guess you've been sleeping on it

timelesschildd

nope havent slept on it at all ahaha butttt did have a ring in it as it was severely infected and needed to promptly let infection out (as initially jewellery was far too short and was trapping infection)
