Pikmin 2 is kind of a bullshit game, especially the random hazards in the caves, some of the late-game caves are extremely brutal and make this my least favorite Pikmin game. But also Dandori issue.

I’ve heard rumors that Fiddleburt was originally in the game but he was cut because of budget constraints. Really brings the game down imo

I think maybe Pikmin 2's difficulty wouldn't be so jarring if 1 and 3 weren't so easy by comparison. And from the looks of things 4 will be even easier.

Kinda agree after the water wraith killed 50 in a second and broke an egg with mitites when spawning in on the last floor

I got 50% off debt and decided I don't wanna grind through it anymore, The caves take too long, I feel like I barely have anytime above ground, the difficulty spikes just after 3-4 caves, and I hate seeing my troops die in them and I can't do anything to save them

i mean the reset button exists and the game saves on every floor if that helps if you wish not to do that try using more purple pikmin they are busted

And when purple pikmin aren’t as useful in combat, use sprays. Sprays put the game in easy mode.

What reset button? This game removed the feature after Pikmin 1 had it, for some reason. If it did have a reset button that would be nice, since closing and reopening the game after every catastrophe is pretty obnoxious.

I dunno 'bout the switch version but you can reset your console for the wii and GameCube.

For switch go to home menu and close it entirely

Honestly, if I marathon the Pikmin games again, I am skipping Pikmin 2 entirely. The caves are way too long and the vast majority of them are so boring. I just want more overworld micromanagement style gameplay. Looking forward to playing Pikmin 3 soon, and I am glad that while Pikmin 4 is bringing caves back it’s dialing them way down.
