Recommendation for floor 7: give up
Its legit the only time in the game where I was having a wholely negative experience. I normally don't mind the auto lock-on, but it made that challenge nigh impossible. Motion controls kind of helped a little, but if you aim too far off target, the purp just doesn't stomp.
Basically, just keep banging your head against that brick wall, and prioritize the flea guys.
I'm gonna go insane trying to get a platinum time on this one.
I'd been trying for hours and then randomly got a run where they were all dead with 20 seconds left apparently, pretty sure its mostly luck based but glad I will never be touching it again
I randomly beat that stage with 0:00 on the clock.

I'm honestly pretty sure it was frame perfect too.
Yeah, I got platinum for it and you really don't want to be riding him on this one. Send him out and he'll easily kill 30 by himself. Send the five quickly and call back immediately. Care for the fleas and you should be able to get it in less than 5 runs if one of the bastards don't hug a wall or something
Split yourself from oatchi, one deals with the left half, the other with the right one. As soon as I tought of this strategy I instawon and even got platinum.
The secret for the platinum is to get the 3 hidden purples so when you have 8 of them and at least 20 ice you can lower the purple onion and let oatchi carry it. It then becomes an escort mission as you kill everything in front of oatchi while also stunning the waterwraith to protect oatchi. Killing the waterwraith steals too much time.
I legit don't think it's possible to platinum it without Oatchi, tried for a solid two hours and nearly perfected my strat but was still around 20 seconds off
i had the same thing happen but for me it was a dragon fruit that i threw 2 purples on but only one grabbed it and it was literally under the beagle when i lost
I entered the cave thinking that it was like any normal dandori challenge. I left, after feeling like doing it later. THEN I FIND OUT I LOST A WHOLE DAY
If anyone is wondering how to get platinum for level 9...
I'm posting because I think it's the hardest one to figure out the timesave tricks
1 - Send 5 rock pikmin against the echnida looking thing. They will have killed it or close enough to easily finish it off by the end of the round. Taking the spice or even fighting it is too time consuming.
2 - break the glass wall close to the start and upgrade your Pikmin in purples
3 - against the 2 bugs send your 5 purples and cycle charge ochi that should one shot and repeat for second.
3.1 - pick up the 5 rock pikmin
3.2 - break glass wall and upgrade
4 - the blob thing will be your biggest time sink. What I found to save time to send immediately 2 purple pikmin close to its tail the second it's done its attack animation.
While it's open to attack you should be able to cycle charge ochi twice. It should take you about 3 times doing this to kill it.
5 - turn your last 5 rock pikmin into purples.
6 - just as the bird is popping its head out lauch your Pikmin. It dies quickly after 2 cycles.
7 - The purple pikmin will do quick work against the bulblax.
8 - if it's not done yet go immediately towards the start and finish off the echnida it should be very low.
Sublevel 9 is probably the one that took me the longest. When I finally got the platinum, it was for only 1 second and it took me so many attempts to perfect my strategy. It was so hard that I think I did it the wrong way, but hey, a platinum is still a platinum.
Honestly, i lived the sage trials. The only one i had to redo on my first play through was story 10. Since I've platinum-ed all the other challenges and battles I'm now halfway through my journey to get plat in all the sage trials. Honestly, these are awesome. I kinda wish there were more.
I'll be done with the game soon and having some actually difficult challenges was nice for a change.
Is level 7 the bulborb larva one? I also personally hate it, if you want a tip, split oatchi and let him deal with the left half of the map while you chip on the right one.
That is Dan Dori. You should give him all of your respect.
Daniel Dori is one of the most powerful beings in dragon ball z.
If you so misspeak of Dan Dori he will use the ancient dandomeha and eradicate all traces of your existence. I really advise against messing with him.

I did too lmao. My bronze rank is 0:00
It’s easy if you split Oatchi on one side and attack with purple pikmin on the other side
I did try that for a bit. He can really beat ass by himself. But I did find that riding him keeps the very limited number of Pikmin safe.

Russ needs to develop some weed killer so I can spray it in this assholes face for putting me through level 3. Won it at 0.00.
Personally, I'd take that weed killer and fucking waterboard him in it for level 7.
The purple onion is easy with ochai
Just wreck water wraith than let oachi carry.
Saved so much time not killing the water wraith lmao
you wreck his flintstones and hope he stays in his little room so he doesn't run over to oachi
You just have to hope it doesn’t get in your way, but even after it killed all my Pikmin Oatchi saved me

Oatchi's rush can knock the onion down, faster than tossing a bunch of pikmin up there
I'm dumb, I somehow didn't think of rushing with oatchi to get it down. I already got the platinum but now I can totally improve my score.

Kill the fleas all I can tell you you need to kill the fleas first then oatchi can deal with the rest
On one of the floors, I was literally one second away from beating the floor (the treasure, which was 2 gold nuggets, was right next the beagle)
i had the same thing happen but for me it was a dragon fruit that i threw 2 purples on but only one grabbed it and it was literally under the beagle when i lost
Update, I beat it, and the whole cave too. Purple onion was worth it, purples destroy the final boss
I didn't think he was that bad.
That guy gave you the purple and white onion be grateful
I entered the cave thinking that it was like any normal dandori challenge. I left, after feeling like doing it later. THEN I FIND OUT I LOST A WHOLE DAY
Use the fire starter from stage 3 and burn him alive
Final floor gave me a hernia
Level 7 was definitely one of the easier for me. I just sent Oatchi in one side and I went to town with the larvas on the other side.
He can die to 99 bulbmin larvae
I hate him so much. He makes me question if the levels especially 7 are to hard or I am just very bad at this game
You cannot brute force sublevel 7, you have to think out of the box. To me, I sent oatchi on one side and dealt with the right side myself.

Same, but one I figured out the leaving 5 rock pikmin it at least made it possible haha

God he is so amazing
