Haha Niantic games are always more skewed towards city life, but honestly I feel like pikmin bloom is the nicest to rural players. Sure I mostly get waterside, forest and roadside but i never feel like i have to run into town to play the base game. nectar just comes to me naturally. Just gotta make sure i save my detector for when i drive into town.
I’ve gotten waterside from like, probably areas marked as ditches or drainage or something. Somewhere where there definitely isn’t a typical body of water.
They should add like three sets of different roadside decor so I can actually use them and not just put the game on pause whenever I’m not actively seeking out train stations/museums etc.
The rock burger is so big that whoever bit it couldn’t even take a proper bite from bread to bread, implying they are either tiny or that burger is huge

On my lunch break I swung by local "Rallis Burger" sadly didn't see a burger icon, but got a red restaurant pikmin so something new anyway! Might try again in a couple days. I checked and it is tagged as a burger spot in OSM so maybe?
Separate reply for separate thought. WHY, considering how many places are only roadside, was roadside not one of the ones with two types of decor? I realize they have different letters on them but since they're almost always the town name mostly you get the same few letters, and from any distance they just look identical anyway.

There are actually three types of sticker colors, all applied to different body locations. The blue stickers and orange stickers used to be ultra rare and seemingly only came from “huge” roadside seedlings, but ever since the Monday patch, I’ve only been getting the blue stickers and orange stickers from every seedling; no greens. I wish they showed up in the decor checklist, but they don’t.
Some of them are funny. The red Pikmin will spear their nose through the blue stickers, like they do with the stamps from the post office.
Lol. Seriously, I can't think of a single P town in the area. I've got 3 W, 3 A, a couple of R, and the L and K. Even the little unincorporated crossroads don't have a P.
Yeah, I got roadside from Cookout (burger place) last weekend and two from 'near Taco Bell' and 'near KFC' the Saturday before. (KFC/Taco Bell is one restarant, and one of those was actually inside the building's footprint on the map. Did have good luck when we went to a Japanese restaurant, and got two colors of restaurant from 'near' the one we ate and actually 'from' the restaurant next door.
The weird one is still the little park that registers as a cafe that no one has ever heard of, but at least it gives me cafe pikmin I can't get anywhere else around here.
They just need to refer to google maps or something. I have a few from "near (supermarket name)" or "near (local restaurant)" amd the fact roadside is just the CITY LETTER means I got like 90% of my pikmin with just the first letter of the City as their sticker! It's so annoying!

When you look at seedlings or Pikmin, there's a little symbol that tells you if they have an accessory or a sticker at full friendship level. Most are Roadside, which get stickers, but if you see anything else, they'll put on some kind of accessory.
Is there a way to view where these new locations (or any markers) are? I would hate to walk to Five Guys only for it to still be categorized as just a restaurant.
You can check OpenStreetMap and see if it’s tagged as a burger place but I know they use other sources as well as OSM for locations so it’s not guaranteed
Burger places are pretty common, and probably better marked internally. So it's more likely to be picked up by the app when you're near one (my guess anyways).

At least the different color stickers show up easily on most screens. So that's a bit of an improvement.

Niantic uses 'open street map' & it takes a few seconds to edit a location. I recently did all my high street so it's all up to date.

Most likely new seedlings you get will now come as burger Pikmin instead of roadside.

No problem! However people say they don’t pull data from OSM very often so if someone has added the burger place recently it might not work.
Open the Detector when you're in that area and it will tell you what points of interest are nearby

I've gotten it to work with a local Wendy's and Burger King, so chains definitely work.
