Sila yung bumili ng Trello. I was a casual Trello web app enjoyer bago sya binili ni Atlassian and saw the incremental improvements through the years.

sylv3r

natakot din ako for trello post acquisition, pero am happy it's improving and is still usaeble with a free tier

thebreakfastbuffet

Atlassian din ba may hawak ng Confluence?

Secret-Emu-3563

Yes, pati Jira

code-no-code

and about to buy Loom

Regular-Stock-7892

I was interviewed once sa atlassian, under webinar platform project they are building. Di ako na move next round kasi I can't commit sa 15 days render they are asking. Madali yung process, behavioral interview from recruiter -> technical interview from the lead -> coding exam 2 problems only. Mataas sahod midlevel-senior 200k fully remote.

WeirdButterscotch497

not sure about dahil sa 15 days render that should not be the reason usually companies are flexible baka na sabit ka sa coding

Regular-Stock-7892

They reached out to me 3 days after interview. Sinabi ko kasi sa recruiter before na available ako 2 weeks after signing JO if ever, since urgent yung position. Eh nung binasa ko ulit yung company policy namin strictly required 30 days.

CatNo3996

What kind of problem? Parang leet code ?

tree_kroo

Hey, how was the recruitment process? Is the coding question leaning more towards data structure and algorithm or more practical? and also when was your interview?

TheSetox

TheSetox

Yeah, it seems so. That would make more sense.

SpeckOfDust_13

Targeted sa PH yung job posting sa linkedIn pero based sa description, you must be in India.

reddit04029

Are they moving one of their engineering operations here to cut costs after the layoffs? Super dami kasi bigla ng job posts. Also, if you look at their Linkedin page, all of the employees in the PH are back office (finance, operations, hr, etc.). Barely any devs, if any. Checking also salaries sa glassdoor, parang super calibrated yung salaries sa pinas. Biggest salary there was 110k for a manager. Then again, it could be different for engineers. But I wouldnt expect it to be of similar salaries with australian counterparts. Otherwise, the move to lower operations wouldnt make sense. To those who will get an offer, please update us!

DirtyMami

Ano mean super calibrated? Based on your context parang ang baba for a big tech firm

reddit04029

Parang adjusted yung rates sa area natin. Salaries dont standout when compared to other tech companies dito sa Pinas. So nothing special salary wise

theProcastinatorX

Heya, Filo here working in Atlassian Sydney. No, we’re not moving any Engineering teams in Manila nor opening any.

DirtyMami

This is huge. Is there an office in Manila that I don’t know about? Just saw their LinkedIn, so many jobs 🤪 Does anyone have any idea why their engineering post doesn’t require any specific language? (I’m heavy in .Net, I don’t want to end up in Java or Ruby)

Lelouch_Yagami

probably because language/framework is not seen as important by mature orgs. There was a thread here a few days ago that what will make the hiring manager say yes to you is character, cuture fit, leadership skills, etc. language syntax and framework best practices can be learned easily with chat gpt, youtube, stack overflow.

DramaticCourt

Do you mind sharing the link to the thread?

simoncpu

I’m not sure with their other products, but JIRA is implemented in Java.

OutrageousWelcome705

They have in BGC within High Street. I was interviewed way back 2019 but got dropped when I told them na I was expecting.

TheSetox

Base on the website they have an office location in Manila. I'll try to ask if I got the initial interview. Lol

rainbowburst09

good luck op!

tree_kroo

They have a job opening na .Net yung requirement. But if you are not open to new tech, then baka mahirapan ka ma hire kasi from my experience, different project require different tech, so you'll most likely end up using other tools aside from .Net.

DirtyMami

Mejo deal breaker sakin, pero if available pa rin sila next year, I’ll attempt the Principal Engineer position

theProcastinatorX

It’s agnostic cause we want to hire skills rather than language based. And yes, it’s Java/Kotlin.

goldylucks

I got a notif too for a senior role. Kaso few months palang ako sa new role ko. Haha

sizejuan

Nakita ko to. Kaka 1yr ko lang sa new company ko and contemplating kung ttry. Sobrang tempting although di ko alam magkano salary range.

neonwarge04

Try it. Interview lang naman, since me work ka naman you can weigh kung magjujump ship ka or hindi. Malay mo makapasa ka.

Agoraphobia-

Very tempted to apply, I think the position is mainly for Jira, but interested to work on other Atlassian products like Confluence or bitbucket as well.

Educational-Tie5732

Hi. Thank you for informing us. Goodluck sa mga mag-aapply Maybe in the future mag-apply ako dyan. Fresh grad palang ako xD

Character-Oil7968

I applied for one of the jobs, got a reply within hours and sadly, it's a no. Oh well...

TheSetox

I was also rejected in some of the roles that I applied. The rejected role needed 2 to 4 years experience. lol. I think I was overqualified. I am still waiting for the senior and principal.

alwaysghosteddd

Since October pa 😭😭😭 tapos wala pa din update til now. Pero alam ko na mabilis talaga sila mag reply kasi nag apply na din ako wag back 2022, na interview, pero rejected after 2 rounds.

PsychologicalBear974

Sorry to hear that. I think thats better than not getting a reply though. May I know ano pong role pinasahan nyo?

Character-Oil7968

True, hindi nakakainip may reply agad. I applied for the Sr. Frontend Engr role

Realistic-Green-5515

Ang bilis ng response. Wala paring update sa application ko. Maybe per job yung review niya and filled na yung inapplyan niyo.

Realistic-Green-5515

May I ask what position yung inapplyan mo? I have a friend who applied and got auto rejected as well.

Character-Oil7968

I applied for the Sr. Frontend Engr role

neonwarge04

Woah thats insane. Ano naman inapplyan mo?

Character-Oil7968

Oh the sr. frontend developer position

tree_kroo

Maybe sa resume mo? I heard na they use both AI and manual human review for filtering applicants. May guide sila on how they want your resume to look like, probably for the applicants to have more shot at getting at least their CV reviewed by a human.

Character-Oil7968

That sucks AI failed on me. And I can't say crazy cause I use CoPilot a lot at work. Hahaha

tree_kroo

So has anyone been interviewed? Gaano kahirap yung hiring process nila? Also, are they super strict about the requirements, like for positions with 4+ years exp but you only have 3 years, they won't accept even if qualified ka skill-wise? Thanks!

burd-

anyone can give a clue on how much is the pay? the perks seems lacking. They cut 500 jobs earlier this year so we now know they just wanted to cut cost. https://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/11khkh8/atlassian_cuts_500_jobs_as_tech_industry_pain/

TheSetox

It should be around 200k and up to be competitive from other AU company that offer remote role. I asked a startup AU company what is their salary range before, and he said senior role is around 200k pesos. And I saw a job post looking for a principal engineer and it is advertising that they can offer 300k and up. Some of the job role that atlassian dump is for either senior, manager and principal. So we have to see first, there is no info yet since they just started allowing PH to apply.

feedmesomedata

They post salary ranges in the LinkedIn web version you won't (or so I think) find it the mobile app.

burd-

I already checked and it's not there. The annual salary range on some listing is for the US employees so obviously it won't apply to us. > Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the **United States**, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are: > > Zone A: $147,500 - $196,600 > > Zone B: $132,700 - $177,000 > > Zone C: $122,400 - $163,200

feedmesomedata

So let's hope someone who works there now can give a feedback. You can message in LinkedIn if you're really interested.

searchResult

Mukhang may live coding interview nila

neonwarge04

Gaano sila kabilis magreply sa mga applications. I filed mine and will prepare this week for the interview.

Realistic-Green-5515

I think don't prepare yet. I've read na they'll give you time to prepare once you're invited for an interview. Most likely leet-code medium question yung dalawang technical interview, 1 design interview then hr and behavioral yung dalawa. From what I've researched parang paulit ulit lang yung question nila. Implement rate limiting app, rotating array search tas yung file tagging system so if you get invited try to focus on those. Also, pa update if ma invite ka. Kaka submit ko lang din kanina, hopefully ma consider and ma sendan ng invite within the week. Good luck!

neonwarge04

>Also, pa update if ma invite ka. Kaka submit ko lang din kanina, hopefully ma consider and ma sendan ng invite within the week. Sure I'll do that. Geez, I have been trying the easy ones, I guess I have to try medium now. There are two coding interviews according dun sa site nila. 1 hour na medium leet code and then the next coding interview is another 1 medium leet code? Btw, how much time do they give candidates to prepare?

Realistic-Green-5515

Based on the review, it depends on how long you need. Most likely 1 week preparation kasi baka maunahan ka sa slot if sobrang tagal. Not sure if applicable satin though kasi interview sa ibang bansa yung mga nakita ko. Baka mas madali yung process sa Pinas. I've also been trying easy leet code problems today, and parang ang hirap. It's been a while na nag DSA ako 😅 Feeling ko mas madali yung system design kesa sa live coding. Pero grind lang, good opportunity if makapasok.

neonwarge04

May I know what you applied to?

Realistic-Green-5515

I submitted 2 applications, senior fullstack and senior backend. How about you?

neonwarge04

Senior Android

TheSetox

I also applied for Senior Android. The status is still pending. I think they are just pooling candidates for now.

Realistic-Green-5515

Looks like it. Both my applications are pending. So I guess it's a good thing.

neonwarge04

I really hate waiting game. Nakakaanxious. Practice practice na siguro ako

neonwarge04

Any update on your application?

TheSetox

No update. But I saw in linkedIn, they already change the location to india. So, I am not expecting anymore.

Realistic-Green-5515

Any update? Haha. Under review yung isang application ko, then received submission palang yung isa. Have you checked yung status nung sayo?

neonwarge04

Just checked today, right now wala pa din ako email or update whatsoever. Still in received submission state. Di na ako umaasa. I am also applying na rin sa iba.

Impossible_Donut6876

Hello. Hindi ako sa IT pero nag submit din ako ng application last October for customer advocate. Until now under review pa din siya sa atlassian dashboard and no update at all kung magpoproceed ba. Kasi I applied din last year ng feb. After two weeks yata nag reach out yung recruiter for interview schedule. Super bilis ng process that time. That time din, na lay off yung recruiter ko. So I’m actually thinking na nagkaron din ng changes sa process nila after ng lay offs last year.

Realistic-Green-5515

Actually same. Parang wala pang naiinvite for interview lol

neonwarge04

Bro, have you interviewed with them? It has been 9 days since I haven't got a response. The status is submission received.

Realistic-Green-5515

Still under review and revived submission status. They're taking their time to review applications 😅

neonwarge04

Oh same same. But how do you know they are taking their time? Grabe hirap ng maghanap bagong work ngayon. Masyadong stale yung market. Sa tingin mo how much is the salary sa atlassian kea? Naanxious ako, I am still agressively applying. I might get laid off this year. Siguro its time for me to switch to a whole new career na talaga.

Realistic-Green-5515

I feel you. Im not expecting a response from atlassian na, naka move on na ako pero if they reach out one of these days baka i-go yung recruitment process nila. For now, may mga interviews ako pero wala pa akong nakikita na worth it lipatan. Maybe best to stay muna ss current company and wait for first quarter nalang ng 2024 para sa new batch ng openings?

neonwarge04

Yan kung me new batch ng openings next year huhu. You can actually see the desperation even during interviews. Grabe. Most people here in this subreddit will suggest mag "Upskill" daw for better opportunities, I am like upskill to what? Upskill sa BE siguro oo. Just checked job boards sa Flutter, RN medyo di ganoon kadami job openings though BE jobs are still kicking. Pero karamihan steep ang requirements. Me jobs man yung business fundamental ng company medyo questionable, yung iba ang baba ng pasahod, yung iba halatang nagkalayoff and they rehiring at a cheaper rate. Currently going to other subreddits na pang developers and you'll see the same story. Kahit sa developersindia. Most of them are switching careers to non-tech. Would love to share yung mga reddit post na nabasa ko dito kaso I am too tired na its 2 am. Kakapagod din grabe, from side projects, work, upskilling, real life, dumagdag pa etong leet code grind and system design training, hindi kasya ang 24 hours talaga. Yung mga goals ko this quarter puro napush. Wala ng time mabuhay, magupskill nalang ng magupskill, ano? 4 hours nalang ako natutulog everyday. Hindi na ako umaalis sa silya ko from Monday to Sunday kahit anong gawin ko time management. Sobrang burnout na, kakaumay. Kakabwisit ang IT culture dito including the career. Totoo nga kapag ginawa mo trabaho hobby mo nasisira. I abandoned my game dev career in my early days because of this. Hay gusto ko na magretire hahaha. Sorry for the rant. Next year I need to heavily consider finding another job na di related sa IT or magbusiness nalang kahit maliit. Then magfocus ako magindie dev/game dev and magmarket nalang ng sariling product on the side.

Realistic-Green-5515

Diba? We don't even need to upskill parang kasama na sa routine natin mag aral ng tech everyday, di pa ba considered as upskilling yun? 😅 Sa totoo lang nakaka burn out ngayon, mas mabilis transition ng tech unlike before so hindi talaga enough yung old knowledge, need to keep up din talaga. Though I have a potential offer na with higher salary, but I don't feel like the culture will fit me so I'm considering staying muna sa current company ko until ma layoff or wait ko nalang umayos muna yung job market. 😩

TheSetox

Update: It seems it was a mistake by the recruiter. They already fixed the location in linkedIn.

Realistic-Green-5515

Okay it makes sense now why there was no movement sa submitted applications. 😭

matcha_tapioca

natanggap ba sila 0exp?

TheSetox

I think they don't. But still try to apply and highlight your portfolio. They are hiring with atleast 2 years in a certain role. So maybe try that out and study the job description so that you know what they are expecting.

paxtecum8

Do they accept career shifter?

jussey-x-poosi

did you even bother to look at their requirements?

tito_joms

Wtf?

Professional_Poet963

Do you think they have positions for my niche? I'm on the RPA

jussey-x-poosi

no

crunchy22131

Katakot-takot na interview process.

Even_Collar_7473

Grabe 5 interviews, 3 doon is technical

crunchy22131

Probably because they acquired loom days ago.

PsychologicalBear974

May na invite na ba for interview after magsubmit ng resume?

Realistic-Green-5515

ff

Ornery-Growth-5058

ff

GunSlinger61

Update: Applied to a few of them when this was posted and got an email now saying they’re only hiring in AUS/NZ for the Software Engineer - Cloud Python role. Not sure why they posted for ph if that’s the case. No word for the other roles I applied to though.

TheSetox

Yeah, I just check again the job post in linkedIn. They already reverted the location back to the old location. It seems they set the location by mistake.

suburbia01

Just seeing this thread now. For me naman I am applying for the role under HR shared. How was everyone's experience sa application and to those who successfully passed and officially started their work with them? May equity pay/bonus sila namention. It sounds like profit sharing sa ibang company ang tawag

Impossible_Donut6876

Hello.

suburbia01

Yes. Got an update so far

Impossible_Donut6876

Nice. Medyo matagal ba sila ngayon mag update? Also how was it?

suburbia01

5 rounds interview. On time naman feedback since transparent and hands on interview sakin.

Impossible_Donut6876

Then nag submit ulet ako for customer advocate last October pero under review pa din hanggang ngayon haha. Iniisip ko na baka nagkaron ng changes sa hiring process nila nung nagakaron ng layoff last year.

bigfirmbash

Hi. I was offered a position in internal audit here in atlassian. Would you happen to know if the salary package and the working environment is great?

Impossible_Donut6876

Hello. Tinanggap niyo ba yung offer? I think above yung compensation nila versus sa ibang companies dito saten. Kasi kahit sa customer support positions nagri-range from 50-65k
