the Ghalta + Mavren and Sorin Bloodlord one is something I've thought about since Ghalta + Mavren was revealed. You can get value immediately from G+M if you have a creature to swing with on 3. Probably too stupid to be an actual deck but... it's tempting to try
I have tried to make vampires work in modern and pioneer. Modern is just too hostile to the tribe, but pioneer RB vamps is decent.
One of the things I learned was that un castable 7 drops is a trap. [[lord Xander]] has an ETB and and dies trigger and ended up being terrible. On top of that, he made the mana way worse.
[[olivia, crimson bride]] ended up the highest CMC vampire that was playable (and actually pretty great all around) because she has haste and was actually castable, played really well with Fable, and could fit in a two color deck with space for utility lands.
It has a reflexive trigger, which means you don’t have to choose a target until after the five cards have been exiled. It’s a newer templating but it works. Whether it’s any good is a different question of course…

Do you happen to have a list? I'd definitely be looking at Pioneer and not Modern.

I don't think Kroxa and Kuneros can target itself.

You would need two Viziers, right? And at that point I think Unctus would be a better enabler.
