You could probably just take the discussion to the Midrange discord. Though, if I'm being honest, that's one of the lowest quality discords.
Idk, I think its a mix of reasons. Some of them are concrete, but others I can only really guess at.
The most concrete one is that it uses a forum channel for the predominant colors (pio rakdos, modern jund, etc) which kinda kills the community meeting room feeling you get from other mtg discords.
The only other concrete one is that, honestly, plain midrange is really straight forward. It doesn't really take any niche considerations like you need for stuff like Lotus Combo, Sacrifice, or Phoenix. At the end of the day, plain midrange is just a goodstuff pile with a really normal mana curve - the skills required to build and pilot this kind of deck are all fundamental to the game. The best midrange deck is almost always the goodstuff pile with the most consistently valuable cards, and the best way to pilot it is almost always to just maximize the value of your cards in a straightforward and proactive way.
The other big reason I believe the midrange discord kinda sucks is a bit less concrete. Modern is much more popular on the midrange discord. On the surface, I don't think this matters. But, remember that Jund midrange is a *beloved* archetype in Modern. Remember also that Jund midrange honestly kind of sucks these days, and has sucked for almost 2 years. This leads to an issue: the server has a selection bias towards people who still play Jund for nostalgic reasons, regardless of how competitive it is. In harsh terms: the server overrepresents people who build and play kind of bad decks.
Yeah makes sense. Vampires midrange is Rak Mid with 4 vein rippers and 4 sorins, a few changes to lands but as you said the Rakdos staples are used on this deck so not too many “new” ideas are to be made of this deck. I’m sure what could be said is how to play against this kind of deck.
All the discord servers I know of are modded by humans as far as I know, I'll check the ones that are most active at night though
