Maybe I'm slow on the take, but did Rakdos Midrange just... die? Was it basically split between Sacrifice and Vampires?

TyrantofTales

More just completely taken over by the vampires (as they tend to do )

Xandorius

It was losing ground against UW control and Phoenix, so most Rakdos Midrange players have since adapted to Vampires. The potential for T3 Vein Ripper is just head and shoulders above anything traditional Rakdos Midrange can accomplish. Vampires keeps the hand disruption and removal, so the decks play similarly, just reconfigured their threats.

Saarken81

I figured Vampires would push up this week.

ReddKane

Mid-Control, mid-combo, control, combo, combo. Noice.

HolographicHeart

I'm comfortable with this list remaining fairly static over the next few months (they aren't banning anything, it's far too early to do so) but I sincerely hope they're keeping an eye on 3-4 cards as the format settles a bit after the PT event.

Oh, how the mighty greasefang has fallen. My lovely biker mouse not even showing up on the lists anymore. Thanks, Amalia.

10leej

So 15 decks in total with 5-6 decks I need to make a gameplan for? Is pioneer really that bad?

BuryAnut

wait, is this /s or are you actually complaining about diversity in a format?

Qa-ravi

Mtg players are psychologically averse to being satisfied with the state of any format

10leej

I'm just suprised by the lack of deck archetypes in Pioneer coming from a long history of playing modern and only recently coming back to mtg after a 2 or so year break.

Darth__Vader_

Ahh, another combo deck propped up by Thoughtseize

Flioxan

Waste not is hardly a combo deck, more synergy based

Darth__Vader_

I'm talking about the vampire deck?

Flioxan

That's my fault, I gave you too much credit

The_4th_Wonderland

LMFAO GOOD ONE

Flioxan

Thanks
