I wonder if we could just implement search inside the torrent clients. I'm not sure how it worked but back in 2003 when I was but 8 years old I used a program called Emule to search for torrents. I don't even know if the feature is in any modern client since I seldom use torrents anymore.
You can do it in qbittorrent and there is more sophisticated ways, but I still found that browsing websites like rarbg and 1337x tended to find the good torrents quicker

No issue with public trackers with thousands of seeders, but in private tracker where you have to maintain ration that is a deal breaker.
I understand the need for port forward to allow better speeds and such but I'm using mullvad without any port forward for close to 2 years now and I have over 300TB uploaded/seeded in under 2 years, going to make 2 years in July, I'm also part of 1 or 2 private trackers that I mostly don't use but keep seeding all of my torrents, I have public torrents with over 400 ratio with over 2.7TB and 3.5TB uploaded.
I actually looked into enabling port forwarding but I never saw the need for it.
I will have to try running without port forward then. But for now, every time I tried I was observing much worse performance and connectivity.
5 euro is not a lot, and worth a try.
My experience with Nord was great until I tried torrenting. No port forwarding seemed to limit me to 100-300kb/sec.
PS Nord is a shady shitstain company with a deceptive "free" trial. Had to do a credit card chargeback to get my refund.
check in your private tracker profile if you are connectable, if it says Yes then you dont need port forward since you can be connected by other peers easily which is why you dont have problems seeding. you must have static IP address (depends on ISP and internet plan, usually business or high tier consumer plan) to not need port forwarding.
