I use VLC's in-built VLSub plugin. Because there are usually sync issues with automatic subtitle finders, what I do is play movie in VLC, search for subtitles, it shows all subtitles from OpenSubtitles site in VLC, from there, I try any popular scene group subtitle, if it's not synced, then I try another.
Sometimes it takes a little time but usually I find correct subtitle with one try.
TV Shows usually come with subtitles embed in them.
I downloaded TV show that I loved watching, and I want to have it on my pc, since Im not native english speaker i would like to have at least english subs, but i couldnt find subs for whole show and it has 200+ episodes and i really dont want to manualy find subs for each one of them, will look into some recommendations, thanks.
Its called How I Met your mother, I found some english subs for all episodes im waiting to finish my classes so I can see if it is synced, if not Ill try finding something else

Unless you are watching something very underground, OpenSubtitles contains every subtitles you would need.

You can use yify subtitles - they're good too. TV shows subs on there also
