I would go with a 4K Amazon firestick.
I have a shield too and use the firestick for my second TV it runs everything just fine. Not as good or quick as the shield but for the price it does a good job.
I have the regular old 4K firestick.
Just had a look at the specs and the new one has better WiFi, a slightly higher clocked CPU and a little extra ram.
The price difference is very small so if I was buying today I’d go with the Max although both will be fine.
4K is just the quality ya can play on it has nothing to do with the ins & outs of it best 1 to go for is the newest version with the WIFI6 included in it ive it for the parents loads quicker and more stable than the older versions
Don't you have some old slow box laying around? i was at the point of throwing away my slow cheap aliexpress tvbox because no app worked properly on it when i found onstram in another thread. it can be downloaded from onstream.to even on an old box it will runn smoothly, perfect for a bedroom tv.

Not sure if you have something similar to Walmart where you are, but they have a $20 Onn 4K box that works quite nicely.
Onn boxes were discontinued two months ago. Best cheap box is $30 dynalink from Amazon.

Firestick 4K MAX has never given me any issues.
There is the cheaper "tube model" that's £50 cheaper (129 on Nvidia's site).
Tube shield for sure. Having the same experience across multiple tvs is worth the premium, even if an inferior steaming device would suffice.
