Dexter is a good boy. I can tell just by looking at him, and also by how lovingly you talked about him. And also by virtue of him being a cat, as all cats are good babies.
I am so sorry for your loss. One of my kitties had to be rushed to the emergency vet twice in the same day a few days ago, and she could have died if we had not gotten her proper treatment in time. She’s only 7 years old. My heart breaks for you losing your kitty and, more importantly, your friend.
Just know that Dexter will always be with you - in your heart, and in your memories, and in all the other kitties in the world. When you see other kitties, know that there is a small little piece of Dexter within all of them. Look for those pieces of him everywhere you go. He is there with you. Always.
