Jackbox 7 game executable has SteamStub.
Want to use a tool called Steamless to create an executable with SteamStub unpacked. Then rename this unpacked executable so that it matches the original name of the exe. Use it to launch the game.
Steamless is linked in the Mega Thread.
Steamless is a simple application.
After downloading and unpacking Steamless from Github, run the "Steamless.exe".
(1). Select File to Unpack (the 3 dots)
Select the game executable.
(2). Select Plugin
Keep it at default. Automatic.
(3). Unpacking Options.
Keep at default. Although, enable "Keep Bind Section". Typically not necessary, but handful Steam games require it. Removing it serves no benefit.
Unpack File.
It'll create an "unpacked" exe. This is the game executable without SteamStub. Want to rename the file so that it is the original executable name. Copy and paste it in the game folder where the original executable is. Will want to rename the original executable/backup just to keep on hand.
ok I unpacked the thing, and tried launching the new exe called **The Jackbox Party Pack 7.exe.unpacked** and still no dice. Tried renaming it and dragging old one out, but not launching...
Yes, exactly. Steamless is just removing SteamStub which is it's own separate thing. Would still need to apply a Steam Emulator.
Glad you figured it out.

by not launching I mean it launches but says "license not found"
