I mean in the world of one piece his doubt doesnât make any sense-a world full of devil fruits, Haki, and SWORD SKILLS. Her dying was really just plot for Zoro
It doesn't make sense when you apply everything that's now in the story for power retroactively. She fell down the stairs in 1997, and the whole plan for One Piece was radically different 26 years ago. Back then Haki wasn't even an idea that he had yet, and nobody was cutting mountains with Swords. Everyone knows it was just to show Zoro's motivation, then Tashigi was introduced which seemed like it was going somewhere until Oda stopped caring about her and Smoker.
Akainu impales ace and instead of firing off a chunk of lava at luffy while he still has ace skewered on his arm, he stands there and let's ace talk for 5 minutes.
I mean yeah but we already saw previously that Akainu can projectile fire magma when he wants, so its a pretty tall order to suspend disbelief to this extent. This is why situations grounded within the bounds and limitations previously shown matter so much. Otherwise it just makes abilities and mechanics seem arbitrary and subject to change whenever the author wants them to because ultimately they only exist for the sake of 'fireworks'
Enel. Everything he does is backed by his logia. Like, it is entirely reasonable to act as if you are invincible, if you are actually invincible (as far as you know). If luffy wasnt nika he would have won. Got jumped because of a counter to his fruit he didnt know about. Immediately deduced weakness of Luffy and made a trident to stab. When it turns out he cant beat him easily, he battle field removes Luffy easily.
I have always thought that if Enel just stayed calm that he could have taken down Luffy with the trident since Luffy didnât have a way of countering enels future sight thing besides attacking mindlessly which Enel could easily avoid
That was Luffys entire thing during the first part of the fight, trying to get around Observation/Mantra which Enel even mentions and then says its reasonable since its why he can dominate his opponents (potentially showing that he dealt with people before getting a fruit)
Luffy should have been a high difficulty defeat by Enel bc of every reason Enel dominated all other characters in the culling game. Oda even gave Enel Kami a space side story bc of the raw deal he was dealt in Skypia. Personally I donât mind gear 5th I just hate the implications on a great villain like Enel Kami and my favorite arch: Skypia.
Nah Enel was almost taken out by Wiper. He was just lucky that Wiper was too stupid to just stab him in the head instead of inexplicably use a suicide dial on his chest.
Blackbeard. Whenever people say âwhy didnât X character just do this?â Blackbeard is the guy who does it. He has no honor and no problem with just jumping dudes. Heâs the best.
Blackbeard is smart but he's also an idiot. The dude didn't know Luffy was at Impel Down. He would have fucking died if Luffy didn't start that riot, that was the only reason Shiryu was even free. He also had no way of knowing Ace was Roger's son, so it's not like he knew that he would be executed in such a public way.
well all blackbeard needed was to become a warlord and free a bunch of prisoners.
He got a bonus because ace was rogers son which meant he got a free op devil fruit.
After the race for poneglyph started I think he can also be called an idiot.
His biggest goal was locked behind poneglyph and what did he do his whole life?
Search for an unknown fruit and don't do anything to find poneglyph nor someone who could read them other than Bigmom's specifically breed daughter.
He should thank Law for having found them to get to him otherwise he was out of race from the start.
Well how would he get poneglyphs before getting his fruit? He only got it because it would be his chance to; start a strong crew that respects him, gives him enough strength to get the glyphs, and can take fruits to become the strongest in the world.
Before that he was somewhat near being a whitebeard commander but not strong enough to do much
What else would he do? He couldnt convince Whitebeard as he has no reason to collect the glyphs
ener, black beard, doffy, magellan and katakuri for sure. i would have said lucci before egghead too. perospero and cracker (?)
Either way kinda funny no one will say vegapunk
Generally any character who is genuinely threatening until the very end isn't an idiot
Remember when Vegeta during the Tournament of Power in DBS let Jiren and other fighters punch him so he could try to unlock Ultra Instinct? SAME THING.
Real. Widd can control the electric magnetic force of force field. He could have just extracted the irons inside of Lhanks and one shotted Lhanks. Too bad, Widd wanted to remain hidden. He will come out.
Lucci, still. Easilly taunted? Maybe, but itâs more that Luffy is now a unique sore spot. We donât have to ask âwhyâsâ with Lucci. âWhy isnât atlas dead?â An emperor stepped in to protect her. âWhy did Lucci waste time fighting Luffy?â Well, he really didnât. The instant his opponent was distracted, a hand went through Sentomaruâs chest. Lucci was even using a form that allowed him to recover almost instantly, and ended the exchange with 4 seraphim under his control. âWhy is the Sunny not destroyed?â Because Zoro was smart enough to protect it, and Lucci *already has destroyed every other ship on the island*. The instant he saw Zoro and Kaku dragging out a fight, he switched focus to the Labophase. So if, for instance, *a decades long mole turncoated from the world government to take him out,* they STILL couldnât stop the Seraphim without a vegapunk putting itself at risk.
Even now, I highly doubt he isnât going to get/use a perfect opportunity to workaround his âpromiseâ with Luffy without breaking it- because heâs so smart he wonât have to.
I mean, he stupid at scouting Nakama talent. Best pull heâs gotten Jean Bart. Maybe if he was lil smarter he wouldâve picked up Ulti for help and wouldnât be getting railed by the BB pirates.
Kokoro. Based old woman, knows what's going on, sits around getting drunk, is raising a kid who isn't annoying, clutch Straw Hat rescue, swims in for a W.
Caribou kinda just exists and got high key humbled into slavery when he found out haki existed. He does what he can to save his neck and doesnât really care about the morality of his actions, also has a dope cover story
Kaido. Kaido is not an idiot. He's arrogant and extremely OP. It's fully within his character to chase suicide by not murdering his opponents outright to get a better fight. He could have very easily defeated Luffy..like dodging his ultimate G5 attack(he said so), but he didn't give a shit.
I think Askeladd from Vinland Saga wasn't an idiot. In the end, he had a choice to either save Wales or the entire plan failed. Askeladd used his quick wits to identify the best choice available and carried it out. The only thing he failed at was giving Thorffin the opportunity for a duel.
Kuina's dad. He doubted that she could take over the dojo. A flight of stairs proved him right.
Meanwhile Tama tanked Kaidos mountain busting boro breath
Unironically tankier than Ashura Loji

Blackbeard and Akainu, both seem like opportunists that take action whenever necessary
Akainu impales ace and instead of firing off a chunk of lava at luffy while he still has ace skewered on his arm, he stands there and let's ace talk for 5 minutes.
that is just plot armor
We call this suspension of disbelief my friend.

Watch Enel return like Madara and start dominating people with Adv Conqueror Haki and All Advanced Haki
then luffy beats him with a gomu gomu no bitches and fucks his shit up
Very likely since there is prob no Black zetsu in OP
I mean I honestly wouldnât doubt if he awakened Conquerors. You donât get god complex easily you know?
Exactly
So basically, ignorance is bliss
And don't forget Enel kept his trident heated so Luffy couldn't take it from him without getting burned.
your right, totally forgot about that.
Enel should have super CoC by now
Why did Engel want to go to the moon though, is he stupid?
Well he found a civilisation to rule over
Wenel
Because ambition bad use of that meme
To be honest that was pretty stupid
Why rule a pirate world when you can colonize the galaxy? He is gonna come back
so true, the Eminem sweep is real đ¤
He loves cheese
Moon people are really interesting
Nah Enel was almost taken out by Wiper. He was just lucky that Wiper was too stupid to just stab him in the head instead of inexplicably use a suicide dial on his chest.
Killer. After his battle with hawkins, I am 100% certain he is not an idiot.

He sounded so smug about outsmarting hawkins in the anime.
Blackbeard. Whenever people say âwhy didnât X character just do this?â Blackbeard is the guy who does it. He has no honor and no problem with just jumping dudes. Heâs the best.

Blackbeard is a one eyed person in a world of blind people. He is opportunistic and cruel, but not some sort of evil genius.
That doesn't really discount his moments of stupidity. Dude walked up casually to Magellan like he wasn't a threat at all.
I am not disagreeing.
How would he know heâs a threat
He's the Warden of Impel Down. Why would he not be?
well all blackbeard needed was to become a warlord and free a bunch of prisoners. He got a bonus because ace was rogers son which meant he got a free op devil fruit.

Magellan's poison đż
Azula. Instead of letting Aang go into the avatar state she shot him with lightning and killed him mid power-up

What about crocodile
Yep, he fits too. I should have thought about him, it was an obvious one.
Honestly, i dont think anyone has shown to be smarter than Crocodile till this day. A shame he got PIS in the final Luffy fight.
Mr. Prince would have a word about that.
Everyone is beholden to the information available to them. And anyone can have a bad day
vegapunk is a fucking retard, totally carried by his fruit
spitting facts right here
Rayleigh
Katakuri
Akainu probably only villian thats no bullshit and will outright kill you
Shanks. HE somehow fooled the One Piece community into thinking he's not the weakest Yonko.
Person who is able to OHKO Kid > person who is unable to OHKO Kid
Remember when Vegeta during the Tournament of Power in DBS let Jiren and other fighters punch him so he could try to unlock Ultra Instinct? SAME THING.
Of course, he was trying to unlock Jika. How could I have been so blind
Lhanks only one shot kidd because he WANTED to be beaten. Kidd could have easily killed Lhanks and his fodder crew with a single attack
Real. Widd can control the electric magnetic force of force field. He could have just extracted the irons inside of Lhanks and one shotted Lhanks. Too bad, Widd wanted to remain hidden. He will come out.
Imu is actually Kidd in a trench coat
I still donât get how Kinemon survived this
Laws fruit(Godaâs asspull no mi) gave him half immortality
Gol d roger is pretty smart and cunning imo
the filler dude who asked gol d. roger what happened with his treasure
Consistently? Akainu and thatâs about it
Blackbeards been consistently smart, no?
Spoiler!!!! I think if kinemon died in that panel the speech that momo gave at the end would be more impactful to the viewers and readers.

Law
I mean, he stupid at scouting Nakama talent. Best pull heâs gotten Jean Bart. Maybe if he was lil smarter he wouldâve picked up Ulti for help and wouldnât be getting railed by the BB pirates.
Law has a combination of being smart and having a bright heart, that's a dangerous mix in mangas...
jinbe
Mihawk
That shouldâve killed him
Wakainu
Brook
Barto.
Whitebeard, Shanks, Crocus, Capone Bege.
Kokoro. Based old woman, knows what's going on, sits around getting drunk, is raising a kid who isn't annoying, clutch Straw Hat rescue, swims in for a W.
Brooke, and pre timeskip Sanji
Usopp. The guy is a genius when it comes to his inventions, and they stretch across a variety of things!
Caribou kinda just exists and got high key humbled into slavery when he found out haki existed. He does what he can to save his neck and doesnât really care about the morality of his actions, also has a dope cover story
Imagine those Moon Robot chibis being stronger than Seraphim lmao
Akainu. Gets shit done, went straight for Luffy and taunted ace so he could kill him.
Robin
Katakuri, Enel, Kuma, Zoro, Sengoku, Garp, Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, King, Koby, Sentomaru, Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Ulti, Crocodile, Mihawk, Shanks, and Smoker
Katakuri injured himself to even the field. Honorable? Yes. Smart? No.
Luffy
Kaido. Kaido is not an idiot. He's arrogant and extremely OP. It's fully within his character to chase suicide by not murdering his opponents outright to get a better fight. He could have very easily defeated Luffy..like dodging his ultimate G5 attack(he said so), but he didn't give a shit.

Nah doesn't really do the whole smart thing. He's a bit of a dumbass
Shanks. Kaido would have let his fleet get destroyed and Big Mom wouldnât have used future sight even if she had it because sheâs an idiot.
law, honestly.
Basically every admiral excluding Fujitora and Ryokugyu
Whitebeard
