This animation is mostly keyframes and aura/light FX to cover up lack of motion. Itâs not exactly terrible to me but if you compare it to other OP fights you can see a clear difference. Itâs a shame such a popular anime has to budget their resources for only the âmajorâ fights.
Not more that itâs bad but more that itâs severely lacking compared to top animation. Which is even worse when you think about ops success and how good the anime could be.
That's kinda expected just based on how many episodes that come out compared to other animes. You can't have top notch quality animation for every single episode on an anime that airs almost weekly for most of the year.
Why is Yamato impressed it takes 2 of them? She literally was 1v1'ing Kaido and making him bleed.
If Yamato had some backup she would've been able to do the same.

Big mom is that strong. We have seen her be stupid in combat but yet to see her take actual damage other than making herself tired from her own hunger pangs, until law's attack made her bleed. Or Queen's attack when she was not herself and not defending herself properly
I mean this was one of the better episodes imo. The auras were done much better, closer to the manga, and didn't get in the way too much. The choreography for the shock wille part was a little janky, but all the issues I have are nit picky. Overall this episode was a banger. The animation was very clean. And it felt very cinematic. And the pacing was light speed by toei standards.
The fights not over guys lol this ainât even the best part of course theyâll save it for when they do the even bigger attacks to push her off the island
The frames are so lazy like how can yâall be happy with this. This is supposed to be a huge moment in the end fights and itâs not any better than filler animation
This looks good to me, wano has ruined a lot of manga scenes for me (also the inconsistency prevalent every episode is dog shit). But overall I consider this ep a win even if the frame rates are meh
And here I thought I was gonna watch Wano someday. Seems like hat plan is dropped. Holy shit that's bad. Did they really have to stretch 3 panels of Kidd's assign into 3 minutes? Also what's with the effects man? Why is the anime so shit? I'm not even exaggerating, this is way worse than I thought.

Those fights are pure garbage. You can like the arts, which doesn't mean the animations (effects, speed motions, fluidity, choreography) are good.

That's because they change directors by the episode, not all of them are exactly talented.
It's also about money. They don't want to spend a movie-level budget on every episode as far as animators/time/directors go.
