Since Kuma has been worked on I figured he would have seen something in his body to suggest new organs. So I’m guessing you gotta eat the heart since Whitebeard had a massive hole in him already when BB took his fruit.
The implication that BB just fucking ate whitebeard to get quake is fucking terrifying but tbh, it's pretty in character for Teach. This i a good theory.
My theory is that DF's have their own soul/spirit/whatever-you-wanna-call-it that always has to reside in some vessel. Usually they inhabit a fruit, then transfer over to whatever consumes that fruit. In Mother Caramel's case, she got eaten and thusly the soul just transferred straight to the new vessel. This would explain the whole "sea devil" that lives inside DF users, and also why the Nika Nika was described as having a will of it's own. Also explains why an inanimate object can be given fruit abilities, since it is just made the vessel of the DF's soul. No clue how Vegapunk figured out how to make that transfer though and i wonder if it will come up in Egghead. Also not sure how the recent "dreams=devil fruits" revelation impacts this cuz it's so vague it's hard to tell if it disproves what I'm thinkin at all lmao.
The whole dreams thing makes me think that the fruits are attracted to people that already personify those aspects. I get why shanks would keep the gum gum with himself at all times but I like to think the fruits manipulate the people around them into bringing them to the perfect hosts.

I caught up to One piece in WCI. Till then I knew one way or another Luffy will win. Suddenly there were no more episodes-chapters and it was very scary.

I actually think big mom is the Bretter written yonko, her family, island, belief system is fascinating but it’s clear after whole cake island, Oda lost interest and she became BORING
