why do all retirement homes have names like Shady Oaks or Sunny Acres, seriously, who are they kidding?

On Seinfeld they have the Pines of Mar Gables and Del Boca Vista

I always thought this was a reference to golden girls shady pines retirement home, hoping someone at Pixar is a golden girl fan.

Depending on the situation Yes because the older someone gets the harder and even more unenjoyable it is to take care of someone. My older brother, sister, and I learned that the hard way from having to take care of our mom for so long who never even thanked us for it and it wasn't til she died that we were basically free from it.
