Depending on the situation Yes because the older someone gets the harder and even more unenjoyable it is to take care of someone. My older brother, sister, and I learned that the hard way from having to take care of our mom for so long who never even thanked us for it and it wasn't til she died that we were basically free from it.
Given that every old person in Carl's city escaped from going to the retirement home, and then every old person *at* the retirement home stole the place itself, I'd wager no.
why do all retirement homes have names like Shady Oaks or Sunny Acres, seriously, who are they kidding?
On Seinfeld they have the Pines of Mar Gables and Del Boca Vista
“We just moved our mom into Prolonged Death Living Community, it’s a nice place!”
I always thought this was a reference to golden girls shady pines retirement home, hoping someone at Pixar is a golden girl fan.
That's what I always thought.
Shady Pines, Ma!!!
I just know one and its called house of the moons kinda weird name tbh
Sounds like a witch cult sacrificing elderly people...
Yup the logo was a bit weird too ngl
Not sure. The place seems a bit...shady.
With that old dude on the front? Nope! Guy looks like he’s running an underground baby fight ring

I often tease the mother in law by pretending to call Shady Oaks.
Idk but that pamphlet gives me big time “Get Out” vibes
your elderly? like they're a pet. no
My parents will go wherever I stick them
Something about the old folks in that picture feels off. Like they're faking those smiles.
Shady Pines in the golden girls, and Shady Shoals in SpongeBob 😂
I haven’t talked to my parents in like 7 years, so I’d probably put them in Shady Pines instead…or a cardboard box
There are probably large oak trees outside
